Kawan Kawan was like a home. Thinks were provided for (drinking water, cups, utensils, etc.) and the place was very clean and well maintained! Best of all, Mrs. Tan was very welcoming and accommodating. She was very helpful and hospitable and offered things that would make our stay comfortable. I could only wish that all hosts are like her.

Home away from home. Their warmth and care is more than you could ask for. Service is exceptional that they even stayed late waiting for us to check-in. Room is very cozy and super clean. With all the amenities provided. Hotel is strategically located at the center, near to all the tourist spots of Melacca. We had a very restful and enjoyable stay. Place very clean and tidy.. I think for improveness a mirror can be added in the room to ease us to wear tudung (etc).... Location very strategic.. Only walking distance to jonker street and bandar hilir.. Only a bit noise if you get a room beside the road.. Quite noisy when everytime beca passes through the road. The landlady also very friendly and nice..

Pros - love the area, nearby to tourist attraction destination. - place is clean, simple, and cozy - aircon and fan works great. Cons - there will be noise coming from the beca at night but not too often. Will definitely recommend staying here next time.

1 minute from Jonker St, Stadthuys and all major sites The hosts are very friendly and helpful. My room was clean with good wifi and a wonderful hot shower plus aircon and fan. Definitely worth a stay.

The guest house is located at the heart of Jalan Harmoni/ Tukang Besi facing the Sam Toh Tong temple. Perfect lodging if you want to explore Jonker street area as most points of interest in the area are within walking distance. The guest house itself is well maintained and the rooms are clean. Bed is comfortable and room is well lit. Basic amenities provided are sufficient. Toilets are shared but design and cleanliness are top notch. Aircond unit in the room is working fine and fan is also available. Pantry is available for those who prefer to eat in the guest house but guests must bring their own food. Overall we had a good time at the guest house. Recommended for no-frills travellers.

The best guesthouse in Jonker Street ”
Everything is good except for the limited parking slots in front of the guesthouse. The owner is friendly and helpful. The location is superb as it is located nearby to the most of tourist attractions in Malacca By the way, the guesthouse in Jonker Street is more expensive than other areas.

Room was clean. I took the room with shared bathroom since I need very short stay. This guest house is very near to many attractions. The only drawback is lack of parking space, if you come by car. But if you are a backpacker, this will be great place to stay. The owner was very friendly too

Very good location, Jonker street & other tourist attraction are within walking distance , but difficult to find carpark lot. Stay 1 night at family room, very clean room & comfortable bed. No toilet at 2nd floor, rather inconvenient for ppl like me (or elderly) need to wake up few times at night to toilet. Friendly & helpful owner

Basic accommodation but most importantly it was CLEAN, great location .. within walking distance to heart of old Malacca. Towels and basic amenities provided, plenty of bathrooms even though it was shared, never had to wait at all. Will stay again at Kawan Kawan if we visit Malacca.

There was no staff at the guest house after you call for check in, so the main entrance we need to lock when out and in. Just like your home. No daily cleaning for deluxe room.
