Great two day break ”
We had a two day break between Phuket and Khao Lak. The area is really beautiful, we enjoyed canooing, night safari and a day trip to lake and cave. Hotel is centrally located with extremely friendly and helpful staff.

5 families ”
We traveled in a large group of 5 families. It was the only place with enough available bungalows for us. The bungalows are new, spacious and perfectly located on the river. The food in the restaurant is delicious. The pool is clean and safe. Mini golf is fun. We will definitely stay there next time on our trip to Khaosok.

A good value”
This is a busy tourist area, but very central. Honestly, our only complaint was their expansion going on. We were warned about jungle noise, which doesn't bother us in the least (it is a jungle, after all), but the real issue was that there was construction (specifically circular saws, hammering, etc.) right outside our bungalow all day long. We had actually stopped over to rest rather than use it as a staging point of Khao Sok, so it was almost impossible to relax in our room during the day. The place is doing very well, so they're expanding their offerings. However, as most things in Thailand right now, the charm of it feeling a bit exclusive and tucked away is being replaced by feeling like a hotel trying to get as many guests as possible.

Gonna be great next year”
Staff were great. Did a great job with booking tours . Dining room overlooking river was lovely. Food was good. Rooms spacious. Excellent hot showers. Pool was nice. Only problem is they are doing extensive expansion and the area was a construction zone. Looking at piles of dirt and building materials really detracts from the ambiance. Had to walk a long way through the dirt to get to the rooms.

Felt really welcomed”
When we arrived in Khao Sok, we were picked up from the bus station free of charge. Once at the hotel we were served cold orange juice - much appreciated. We stayed for one night, booked a 2 days 1 night stay through the hotel on the lake in Khao Sok (and had our luggage stored in the hotel in the meantime), then came back for another night's stay. Really enjoyed the lake tour, although the hotel wasn't the one organizing this but they arranged it for us. The hotel stay was also pleasant, and although the hotel area was under renovation, it didn't bother us much. We were given 2 free dinners as compensation and our only related issue was that the water was out for about 30 minutes once. The receptionist's service was excellent and she helped us book our onward trip to Koh Lanta by minivan (the trip wasn't visible on 12Go). The "swimming pool" was a bit of the river, I don't know if I'd call it a pool and we didn't try it but I guess it was a bit charming, if you're prepared for it.

Wonderful beds, luxury sheets. ”
Spacy rooms and best quality beds. Very central. AC was not maintained and did not work when we arrived. They fixed it within one hour. Breakfast included with both Asian and Western food options.

Nice Hotel, Under construction”
On Agoda, this listing is listed as "Newly Renovated" But actually it is heavily under construction. There isn't any green or nature that makes Khao Sok so unique. They offered free dinner because of the construction. But really I would have liked to know before I booked. This place will be nice in a few months from the date of this review. The staff was friendly and the room was cozy. Although the bed was extremely hard, the sheets were so soft it made up for it

No value for money”
Travel through thailand for 4 weeks and this is my first review. I dont like to complain but I hope the management will read this as feedback. Because we paid almost 3000 baht for a family tree house , which had 2 beds, 1 queen and 1 single. I am used to a lot but your matras is luke stone. As we paid 3000 baht I would say invest in a normal bit softer matras. I stayed 2 night and we hurt out body a lot. Then the shower, the first night there was warm water, dont ask me how much because almost nothing came out. The second morning before we checked out the shower didnt work. Breakfast: very poor and finish at 9, bit early. Like I said we travel a lot. When I paid 1000 baht you didnt hear me complain but this is not reasonable at all! We are planning to go back soon to Khao Sok but will never book this resort no more. Hope you will upgrade a bit for future guests

Room basic, cleaned once in three days and then not well. A resort for groups not solo or couples. Big groups dominate the resort, partying till late and lots of noise.

Pros - parking, new bungalows are light with good air-con, given free meal as compensation for building work which we were told was minimal before booking. Cons - very hard beds in both old & new bungalows, new rooms need to be cleaned thoroughly before renting them out as there is plaster dust everywhere., broken muddy paving slabs to entrance of bungalow, Building work quite an inconvenience in general, no hairdryer, no bedside table, limited shelf space in new bungalow. Limited breakfast selection.

Not worth the money, choose something different. We chose the mountain bungalow and had monkeys outside the door during day time. The pool was not possible to use, green water. The room was not clean and we might have had bed bugs in our room (hard to tell but bite marks on bag etc). The breakfast was ok, but not more. If you book a trip with the travel agency next door (really nice lady) you will get breakfast there).

Delightful”
We spent one night in the charming bungalow (air conditioned riverview). After being on two islands for several days it was a pleasure to swim in the fresh-water river just outside our unit. The staff are friendly and helpful. The meal up on the roof top was very pleasant. Our room was comfortable, with a wonderful view from our balcony. We then took off for a night in a floating bamboo rafthouse in the Cheow Lan Lake, organized by the Khao Sok Rain Forest Resort. Frankly, it I were to do it again I would have stayed an extra night at the Rain Forest Resort and simply done a day trip to the Lake. Cheow Lan Lake is wonderful, with its magnificent islands and caves, and swimming jumping off rocks. But you can do all that in the day trip, including a lovely lunch of fresh caught fish etc. at the floating rafthouse. The overnight in the bamboo hut was uncomfortable........rock hard matresses on the floor and nighttime chirping of mice (or rats) above us in the roof of the hut.

Wonderful resort at Khao Sok”
Well, I went there few days ago,wanna say good for relaxing,next to the khao sok river and national khao sok. It's very good for everyone who love adventure in the wild forest and fresh nature. For service of the resort, they are very kind to me. I went there by VIP bus from Bkk to Khao Sok , arrived there 6.30 am then the resort pick us up, by free service, about 10 minutes from bus station. And the resort let us chick in about 7 am. Very kind of you, thank you. Good food, room and not expensive. Then staffs there they are very friendly. PS. If you want them clean the room, you need to tell the reception only.

beautiful location, close to national park”
We enjoyed our stay at Khao Sok rainforest resort. I think your choice of room is crucial here as the riverview rooms overlook a smaller river which does resemble a canal and rooms are lined up close together. We did want a riverside room but on closer inspection on the website the mountainside rooms overlook the Sok river and are absolutely wonderful, although further away from reception area. We had torrential rain while there and were able to watch the river change dramatically which was fantastic. Bordering the national park - we could see our room from the walktrail to waterfalls one and two - the forest surrounding our room was amazing. The room was comfortable with aircon and hot water. No room safe or resort safe but staff are very aware of movements on the grounds. No kettle but I would get hot water in a thermos. The resort itself is a rather casual affair; you need to ask for the room to be cleaned, clean towels, daily water etc but all was provided. The tour guide was very knowledgable and we enjoyed our trip to the dam although we were persuaded to go on a very rainy day which made it a bit more of an 'extreme' adventure and the trip home in a songtaw after a very long day was really too much - we could only think they didnt want us messing up the minivan as we were dripping wet. Nevertheless we visited the guides home afterwards and were treated to coconuts and rambutan and a taste of suburban living thai style which was a bonus, particularly for the young german couple we were with. What I would say is dont get talked into what you dont feel right doing - there are plenty of tour companies in the village, so you have bargaining power as well. The village itself is really lovely and the resort is central in this so a good position from which to explore.

Lovely, peaceful hotel in beautiful surroundings”
The resort is located in the beautiful Khao Sok. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted with a warm reception. The lady who runs the resort speaks excellent English and was so helpful. We found our bungalow a good size and clean and the highlight was the beautiful view of the river and forest. The food in the restaurant in good but the service was incredibly slow, so don't go there if you're in a hurry! We enjoy a day trip to the lake and the following day we went tubing in the morning. Both were excellent and well run trips. I will definitely return
