A very nice hotel with friendly staff”

We really liked our stay at the Khaosok at Home Resort. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The standard room was very spacious with a nice bathroom and we didn't have any insects or other animals inside the room. The surrounding nature is beautiful (especially in the morning), but the location itself is not the best if you're planning to walk around "town" etc. But it doesnt matter for arranged tours to the park as they pick up the guets at their hotel anyway. I would definitly stay again at this resort!

Lovely Hotel in Gorgeous Surroundings”

this hotel was excellent value for the money. we stayed in the standard rooms (the upgrade from the chalet rooms), and they were exactly what we were looking for after a long day of travel. the bathrooms are beautiful stone, and the bed was very comfy - we had amazing sleeps. the family that manages the hotel was super friendly, and did such an excellent job assisting us during our stay. we had a super friendly welcome, they did a great job with the food (even making our included breakfast early for us on the morning we departed), and assisted us by arranging our transportation to koh phi phi. they do book all kinds of tours on site as well. the scenery in khao sok is very beautiful, and the resort landscape is very pretty and green. the restaurant was also really pleasant to sit in, and they cooked excellent thai food. would definitely stay here again, very relaxing!

Great View with good service”

this is a very nice place to stay when making trip to khao sok. the service was good with all local people not a professional type but they are very nice and friendly and welling to help in any situations. the room is nice and relatively new with modern decor but a bit stuffy when first open it, so they should let it opended for ventilation since the southern of thailand weather is very hot and humid however, after the ac running it's all good. the food is also excellent. they should improve the entry of the resort to be more welcome treatment because it looks too humble comparing to the internal view to the big mountains at the backdrop. i would recommend this hotel for a medium cost traveller.

Nice quiet resort almost in the middle of nowhere”

At home resort is located near Khao Sok national park. We stayed 3 nights in a wooden chalet. These are very cosy, air comditioned and tv equiped. For wifi you need to go to the restaurant. Bathroom has good shower. We stayed during the start of the rainy season, which in this case means 90% rain during day and night. Though we did not spend much time outside in the surroundings. Just enjoyed on the front porch, the natural scenery of sounds and birds, meditate, watched tv and had a delicious meal in the restaurant where a friendly staff welcomed us all the time. We really feld at home in "At Home Resort".

Clean room near the park with friendly staff”

This was a good hotel to stay in if you are visiting the Khaosok Park area. The staff spoke English and the room was clean, had a comfortable bed and modern bath and the view was incredible! The breakfast was average. There were a surprising number of restaurants nearby, some in easy walking distance, for lunch or dinner as the hotel only serves breakfast.

Beautiful Surrounding”

we came in the rainy season (oct). we were a couple with 2 young children (4 and 5). the surrounding of the hotel is calming and beautiful: a small valley surrounded with mountains and wood. we took the chalet which is a pretty small cabin that was pretty small for us. we needed an extra bed for our kids but the extra bed just took all the space in the cabin so we decided to sleep all of us on the same bed (luckily the bed is big enough and we were small enough...) . we asked the staff to upgrade the room to something bigger but we were told it was not possible even though we were the only guests in the hotel (for some reason we didn't have the ability to order a bigger room on the web site). the staff was very kind but could hardly speak english which was sometimes a problem. note: the room we ordered did not include breakfast. wifi is not available in rooms. only in the restaurant area. the food is not bad at all and pretty cheap. the restaurant is overlooking the small valley which made the place very pleasant to eat there. we spent 3 days there and ate almost all our meals there. the hotel is located about 10 minutes walk from the park entrance. in general we recommend this hotel warmly but, if u arrive in the low season (like us) we think it is best to get there first and choose the right hotel for you just by walking and seeing the hotels in your eyes (most of the hotels near the park are concentrated in a pretty small area that can be explored easily).

Felt at home @ At Home Resort”

we stayed here for two nights in august. the guys took our bags straight to our room which was nice as our journey was long. our chalet was small but the air con works a treat which can be a rarity in thailand as we discovered. we did the night safari which was fun! saw spiders, fish, frogs, lizards, scorpians and and armidillo type creature. we did the lake tour. our guide was a lovely chap. beautiful scenery, but long trip. worth it though. the pork basil stir fry is nice here as is the pineapple smoothie. staff here are lovely. accomodating and put you at ease. sitting up on the deck taking in the view is relaxing. a great place to stay in thailand.

Very nice place”

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, they upgraded our rooms free of charge! There was a water shortage problem in the rooms but overall a great and adventurous experience! Good value for money with great food! Very nice live music at night and a lovely area to relax! Would go there again.

Prachtige locatie, fijn chalet”

Nice place to stay. The view over the mountains is beautiful, the chalets are cosy. At first we had a chalet with a broke airco, but we didn't even have to ask for a new one; the guy carrieing our bagage got us a new one. The "citycentre" is a 4 minute walk, a seven-11 is 1 minute up the road. Nice people and a hot shower. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Great Area but Poor Condition and Staff”

We arrived around 17:00 and were directed to our chalet room. Very minimal furnishings and style. But you cant expect much for it being so far up in the Khao Sok national forest. We were so exhausted from the hot springs my girlfriend and I visited just before arriving to the hotel, we went straight to bed. I was awaken by some loud birds outside our chalet around 21:00 and was starving so I went to the restaurant located 50 meters from our chalet. There were 3 other couples there, some just starting to eat some finishing. I asked them for some food. They said no. They then told me to go up the road. EVERYTHING WAS CLOSED, on a sat. night. I spent 1.5 hours driving around in our car looking for food. NOTHING! I will never stay it this hotel again. Plus the room had massive mosquito nests in it coming from every hole. When we got out the next morning we were starving and biten all over from mosquitos. Poor service and cleanliness.

Goos option for a mid-range hotel in Khao Sok ”

We didn't want to stay in one of the tree house lodges, and this was a good alternative. Views from the chalets are striking. The rooms were basic, but very clean and had a nice pation to sit on and have a drink.

Great location, lousy service”

our stay here was almost ruined by the poor performance of the staff. it was like fawlty towers, but woth only thai versions of manuel: no management at all. they forgot to clean the room, lost the key, or it took them half an hour to make a scrambled egg fo breakfast- which of course was cold when it arrived. on top of that, our first night was ruined by a very noisy thai family who thought they were at phuket instead of a national park. they were not bothered by the personal. such a shame, because it is a great location. by the way: this was our fourth week in thailand, so we had enough (good) experience

Nice, quiet chalet hotel”

Hotel was à god basis for trips to the lake and elephant trek. Pitt that there was no pool !

Nice location but too expensive”

It is like a hotel managed by a family, but friendly. The rooms were very small, but clean and quite new. However the hotel is absolutely over priced. A nice feature is the restaurant with some life music in the evening.

Quiet, simple hotel”

Beautiful peaceful location, however, next time I would stay at the hotel inside the park. The breakfast was awful. The bungalow room was clean and very nice.

Cogimos un "Chalet" pensando que dispondría de más espacio para la cama extra que precisábamos para nuestra hija mayor y la verdad es que casi no cabía. Nos los soluiconaron ofreciéndonos dos habitaciones contiguas por un precio extra razonable. El sitio es precioso pero resulta muy complicado entenderse con el staff que habla un inglés muy precario.

Tout c'est bien passé à Khaosok home resort. Le lit est confortable, la clim fonctionnel, le jardin avec une vue superbe sur les massifs rocheux. L’accueil fut agréable. Juste une chose surprenante : pas de lumière dans la chambre. J'ai bien regardé et rien, pas une ampoule au plafond, ni une lampe de chevet. A part ça je recommande

zu weit ab vom schuss, der staff konnte nahezu kein englisch, wirkte verunsichert und überfordert, die anlage ist hübsch aber herzlos, würden nicht nochmal dort einkehren, insbesondere da es vor ort viel bessere und deutlich günstigere optionen gibt.
