Nice hotel at busy commercial district. Schools, restaurants and retails nearby. Hotel room is pretty clean and tidy. Desserts and beverage prepared at Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are very thoughtful. Gym and pool are accessible to guests. Cons: none that I found so far. Hope there is a hotel shuttle running to airport. The building has several entrances, hotel entrance is a bit confusing.

Hotel was a little diffcult to find at first due to the language issues but if you are a local or mandarin-speaking then you will have no problem locating it or getting there. When we did get there, I found the area was quite nice with restos and convenience stores all round the vicinity. It was a quiet neighborhood as well. Hotel lobby was bright, small abut functional, front staff spoke decent english and was helpful enough. Rooms are spacious, well appointed, and clean. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms were spacious with separate bathtub and enclosed shower. What was a really pleasant surprise was the complimentary mini bar. It had all sorts of beverages (even a budweiser) and some snacks in addition to the usual complimentary water, coffee and tea. Overall I would highly recommend this place. Great value for money

I find they need a western restaurant, as during the canton fair, they have western visitors and they can only eat japanese or chinese, they never have a buffet, i find this minus for this kind of hotel breakfast could also be more various, and better bread ( not only toast )

dirty bath towels”
stayed for 4 nights in dec 2019. bath towels were dirty with brown stains and had smoky smell. complimentary sprite in the fridge has black rusty spots on top of the can, air-con was very hot though i had adjusted the temperature to 18 degrees. shower water temperature fluctuates frequently and water pressure was also inconsistent throughout. wanted to check-in @2pm but was told the room ain't ready and housekeeping only managed to clean up to 7th floor (hotel is 32th floors high), returned @2.30pm, almost had the room and then counter staff realized the twin bed room we paid for was again not ready. returned @3pm and finally got the room (my goodness). hotel lobby was very small with limited seats (not what i've expected for a 4 star hotel).

wonderful hotel at quiet yet great location”
i went to guangzhou for chilam's concert and got a great deal from agoda. decided to book at leeden hotel based on good reviews and location. it is located at quiet cbd area, just 5min walk to zhujiang new town metro station-line 3. very convenient as i took metro from airport with journey less than 45min at 8rmb, and 20min at 5rmb to xiangjiang safari park. nice surprise when i entered the room, really big and clean. soothing music in the bathroom (not to worry as the music stopped at night); bed was comfortable and slept through the night. overall service was good except front desk. i had initally booked 2 nights from 1-3 dec and extended another night from 3-4 dec. i did remind the front desk but my room card was activated for 2 nights only. i was locked out when i returned to my room on 3 dec evening. but they rectified the situation quickly and had the housekepper to open the door and deliver a new card to me. the shock came when i checked out. my room was prepaid and the rookie, unsured of the procedure, consulted her supervisor. to my great dismay, she actuall said 'let her go'. i am a hotel guest who speaks cantonese too. evidently the hotel needs to train the staff and improve the front desk service. nevertheless, a wonderful stay at leeden hotel and highly recommended.

Great Hotel and great value ”
I arrived at this hotel with my girlfriend, the staff was really friendly and you had the feeling it was a gazillion star hotel. We didn't use any of the amenities of the hotel so I won't talk about that, instead i will describe the rooms and staff manners. The staff was friendly and english was okay for chinese's sake. The rooms were just the perfect size. Not the largest I have seen, but certainly not the smallest. The rooms were spotless. Showers were really big and the watertemperature could be become very hot (in comparison to other hotels). The neighbourhood..well it was not much to look at. High skyscrapers and nothing to do if you are a tourist. The subway line 5/3 were really closeby so that was a definite plus (about 5 minute walk from room to subway). The Subway would bring you anywhere you want to go in Guangzhou. There was a 7/11 on the corner of the street were the hotel was located, so buying snakcs for your daytrip was a breeze. I also want to note that drinks in the minibar were complimentary (which was a suprise to me). I can't think of any cons about this hotel, I would definitely stay here again. Oh one more note, the beds in china are really hard. The beds in Leeden were softer than most beds I encoutered during my stay in China. Still people with a bad back be prepared. In Leeden you do get the option to swap out for different kinds of pillows (for free)

Location and value (when there is no Canton Fair)”
All the better Guangzhou hotels double their rates and more during the CantonFair. I have the advantage of being able to avoid those dates. The Leeden is a relatively new hotel in the newest (New Town) section of Gouangzhou. You can visit your rich friends at five star hotel in a short for a third of what they are paying. And you get four stars, plus a full sized indoor pool, workout facilities, a good buffet breakfast, and unusual in China, fast elevator service.

Nice hotel, great location, helpful staff”
Hotel is conveniently located within easy walking distance of Guangzhou's sparking Central Business District. Rooms are very nice, however I would rate it 4 stars not 5. The English speaking lobby staff was helpful. I would return to Leeden Hotel on a future visit to Guangzhou.
