We arrived at the hotel greeted by a staff member who didn’t have all details of our booking. We were exhausted from the drive and was really frustrated to have to show details and reveal breakfast and both my children were included in my booking. I reiterated I’m not paying extra for breakfast when it was included in my booking. The room is lovely, the bed comfortable and layout is great. Love the doors and shutters. It’s gorgeous. The view is stunning. The housekeeping staff are great and responsive. Trying to find our way around from the pool etc was not helped by a rude security guard. I did go into reception and tell them people aren’t very helpful and the reception gentleman was apologetic. Breakfast was delicious! A great spread and variety. After a wonderful few days in Petra with super welcoming and friendly people in the hotels there, this was a different experience and it saddened me because this was the hotel I was looking forward to most. But it shows how people all make a difference. I will come back because the setting is so beautiful. The hotel, Cascades spa and outside areas do need some TLC and there’s litter but with some work it could be incredible. I did stay for another night rather than for only 1 night I booked. It’s so beautiful.
