Frazzled Traveller”
The location of the hotel is in a very pleasant area located close to Long Tan Park and within reasonable distance of the Temple of Heaven, The Pearl Market and the Metro. Although this is quite a long walk bus number 6 (ask the staff where the stop is) is very convenient, frequent and easy to use. There are a variety of eating places within the general vicinity. The staff are quite helpful and althoughand they have limited English they will assist by using the translator on the mobile phone. A good, clean, quiet reasonably priced hotel.

Good evening, dear Time Guest. Thank you for choosing to stay in Tiantan Shop, Beijing, which is the theme of nostalgia. The hotel is only 10-15 minutes'walk away from Tiantan East Gate Station of Tiantan Metro Line 5. It is also very convenient to Beijing Station, Beijing South Station, Tiananmen Gate, Wangfujing, Forbidden City, Tiantan Park, Houhai, Nanluogu Lane, Gongwangfu and other famous scenic spots. Every room is carefully cleaned by the guest room department. The hotel is a nostalgic theme hotel in the 1970s and 1980s. The lobby is specially equipped with old objects. It has a sense of age. Seagull cameras, black and white TV sets, 28 bicycles, little overlord games and so on.
Great quaint budget hotel ”
Quaint budget hotel in South west Beijing. Difficult to find as no English signage but for the price you can't beat it. We stayed on the 6th floor for 3 nights in a tiny room for $50 a night with a lot of light. The bed was really comfortable. Lots of "nostalgia" knick knacks to personalize the place. No fridge unfortunately and bathroom was small and smelled a bit at times like most Chinese bathrooms. We didn't try the breakfast. It's near a large park which is worth a walk through but unfortunately doesn't have any great restaurants near it. There are a few typical Chinese "dives" next door if you're starving. I'd definitely stay there again. I've lived in China a couple of years and finding a comfortable western style budget hotel in Beijing isn't easy! Be prepared to walk a good 20 minutes to the metro. There are 2 different lines at that distance.

Super close to Temple of Heaven”
Staff didn't speak any English including being able to figure out which terminal we needed to leave out resulting in us being very late for our flight. We would have looked ourselves however the wifi didn't work. The bathroom had an open shower an a large crack in one of the tiles which water filtered into. The subway was about a 20 minute walk though from there we easily accessed the zoo and went into the Temple of Heaven. It was good to get to the temple of heaven but wouldn't stay here again. Rooms were pretty clean. Hotel had a cute feel with the old knick knacks. Breakfast had good variety and was included.

Very nice hotel”
The staff is really pleasant. Although English is limited, they really try to help you. My room was very clean, with a nice shower. A/C works great. It is mostly catered for a Chinese clientele, so inside the room, all instructions are in Mandarin. You get free bottles of mineral water, and a very nice box of amenities , but I didn't touch it as I didn't know if they were going to charge for it...I had everything I needed, anyway. But if you are the kind of guest, like myself, who doesn't ask a million questions to the front desk, then , you will be fine. I had a very early flight the day of my departure, and they kindly call for a taxi for me. It was a very nice experience. I would stay there, again. Good job.

Every room is designed to have a theme which related to the good old days of China based on childhood, sports, locations, etc. The staff are providing excellent services and they are very helpful. Recommend to stay if you are traveling to Beijing or other part of China.

This was a decent hotel for out 72 hour stop over. Even though everything was in Chinese the staff were helpful. The breakfast was £2 and it was pretty decent considering the other breakfasts we had elsewhere. The shower was amazing and they gave a you a good selection of free goodies. The only negative is that the hotel is quite far out and you rely on the train and taxis.

My room was very clean and had a pretty nice bathroom. Funnily the room did not have a clothes cupboard. The staff is very friendly but their English is really bad. Anyways, they will care about you and try to help you whenever possible. You have drinking water on your bedroom and after noticing that I also bought own water, they wrote me a note (in Chinese) that I should inform the reception if I am worried about not drinking enough and put the double amount of water bottles into my room.

The location is near by the Chinese Physical Education bureau and gymnasium, the closest subway station is Tiantandongmen, line 5. It's about 1.2 km from the hotel to the subway station. The 2nd floor was under renovation while I was there. The Chinese buns restaurants and the small local restaurant next to the bun place are good. People likes tradition local Beijing dishes should try it. In general, it's an ok place for solo traveler.
