Lovely and friendly service”
The service personnel are friendly and willing to go out of the way to assist you. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable, though it is a bit old. The only con is its distance from the city centre. Taking cab to city centre can be costly (approx 40 to 60 rmb one way). I would recommend to take cab to somewhere nearer (eg. exhibition centre) and take the metro, if time is not an issue. Its proximity to the exhibition centre is a bonus though, if you are attending conferences and events.

Good Hotel to stay for Fair as its only 10 min ”
Location of Hotel is good for Pazhou Fair. Its very near to Exhibition Centre. For people who eats Chinese food and came for Fair this hotel is the best location as there are so many Chinese Restaurent nearby. If you are foreigner and can not eat Chinese food then you will be stucked for food as there is no Mcdonald, KFC or Pizza Hutt nearby. This hotel is not for Indian to stay as no food you can find.

Pros: They have shuttle going to canton fair. Restaurant at lobby If you don't want the food in the lobby, there's another restaurant beside the hotel, also inside their compound Cons: Not the hotel's fault but there was an old guy who tried going in our room while we were sleeping. We woke up from the sound of the keycard rejection and his fail attempts to open the door. When my husband opened it he just spoke some chinese words and went away. When we asked a hotel personnel the next day they just said that its housekeeping. But we saw housekeeping, they were dressed in uniforms and those we saw were all female. The old man was in jacket btw. Wifi needs a local number, you'll have to input your number and they send you a code for password. Not suitable for tourists like us since we don't have china number. Aside from that everything is okay. Average. You get your money's worth. The free shuttle is a big plus since you can save money instead of taking a cab.

the price was right for this hotel which is close to the convention center. the staff and the girls downstairs at the cafe/restaurant are some of the most friendly i have seen anywhere in china. that said, the hotel is showing it's age and the rooms are not up to standard. wallpaper falling off the walls, wood rot on the bathroom door. i think there are better hotels in the area for similar pricing.

Nice, quite big and quite clean room. Upgraded from normal twin room to a suite, so it was quite big for me. At least one or two people could speak some English in the check in disc. Hotel had both English and Chinese menu in the restaurant in the entrance area, but i think the people in the kitchen did not know how to make the food in the English menu very well. When I ordered English food, I received wrong food one time, and next time I received Chinese food. Food was ok, but don't expect to get what you order from the English menu. Locally and quite close you can find a local Chinese community with a lot of small shops and restaurants. As it is very convenient for me to stay close to the canton fair, I will stay there again.

We chose this hotel because of it's location is not far from Pazhou exhibition. Hotel room is standard, nothing is special. Hotel staff are poor in English but helpful. While exhibition period, this hotel has shuttle bus service to exhibition, and that's quite convenient for business man.

The weather was +12'C in the middle of February. Air-conditioners don't heat the rooms! It was very cold inside the hotel. Hot water was stable. Not so clean in the rooms, towels were with dirty spots. Used cups after tea were not washed by the cleaners. No English-speaking staff. We talked with reception with the help of Google-translator. Internet was free but only LAN (no WIFi), ADSL connection (router). Speed is very slow but enough for e-mails. Close to the hotel several restaraunts, shops, market. But rather far from the center and bars street - 40RMB (20km). Smoking in the rooms is allowed. -1 Floor is a billjard room with a bar.

the hotel is ok... it's showing it's age with the wall paper and general quality of the rooms. threadbare would be an accurate description. staff is great though so friendly!! i have a feeling that there are better deals in town. but free shuttles to the expo center during tradeshows

Big room, stuff don't speak english at all, 500 yuans deposit, very far from metro to go by foot, taxi 20 yuans to the nearest station, pretty cool small streets around hotel, fruit markets 5 minutes walking. Ok for big family (2 big beds) lots of space in room and pretty clean

have been trying hard to contact the hotel just to arrange the transport to fetch me from the airport, ended up spending rmb500 for taxi to get there. almost the cost of hotel!!! then the hotel claimed did not receive my reservation. spent half an hour there to check in. the room was old and smelly. would not go back there anymore despite its strategic location to get to the canton fair
