Great Service in traditional beijing neighborhood”
The staff tried hard to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Starting with allowing us to checkin early after we flew in from europe, giving us a choice of rooms, guidance on the local area, and much more. The rooms were relatively small (big enough for double bed, flat-screen TV, and a chair). The rooms were actually cleaned to be clean rather than look clean as with many hotels. The courtyard is a great place to relax after a long day around beijing. I'll definitely stay there again next time I'm in beijing

Good location and friendly staff”
we book for 3 nights, at our arrival at 2am they were waiting for us with our warm room (we visit this winter), clean and knowing the size of the average room in china very fare space for the location. we recomend this hotel. due to its location near the metro all mayor atractions of beijing are just a metro ride and a bus ride from hui hai hutong

Great little Chinese hotel. ”
The rooms were very warm and comfortable. We were there in winter and it was very cold outside (lots of snow actually)but it was lovely inside. The bed was nice and soft unlike what I have heard about some hotels. It is a bit hard to find as it is in a Hutong area but that is all part of the fun ! There are plenty of restaurants and noodle bars close by. For the price, you cannot go wrong with this hotel.

Convenient Location ”
We have stayed here for 4 nites with our friends, booked 2 standard rooms. The rooms are kind of small, just a bed, TV stand, toilet and that's all. Try to avoid staying in the room with the name Earth, as it has a weird smell coming out from no where. We requested them to change our room after staying for 2 nights. Location wise is pretty convenient. There're bus stop & subway nearby. Subway station is XiSi (line 4), which is around 7 minutes walk. If you go along Line 4, there're few tourist spots that you can visit such as Summer Place, Beijing University,Yuan Ming Yuan, Beijing Zoo. All in the same line 4. There's a supermarket inside the junction before the post office. So you can actually grab all the local tidbits there instead in Wang Fu Jin. The 2 girls are very helpful during our stay. One is Lily and the other one is a long blonde hair gal. They told us where & what to visit, eat when we asked them to suggest us. This area is considered the Hutong area which is a bit old if comparing to Wang Fu Jing. If you want to experience the local hutong lifestyle, this is the place that you should stay :)

A very nice guest house, particularly in relation to price. Staff are very friendly although I found it a little odd they did not have any Beijing maps to offer me. All in all a great stay especially with some of the local cuisine in the area and proximity to subway.

Contrary to what others have said, we had no trouble finding the Fish Inn and if you ssk a taxi driver to take you to the intersection of Dayuan Hutong and Xisi street getting back to the hotel was easy. The friendly staff alesys greeted us with s smile and were very helful and efficient in booking our tour to the Great Wall and an onward train to Shanghai. The location was excellent - a few minuted walk to the metro line 4, and a leisurely 20 minute stroll to the Forbidden City. The hutong is a quiet residential area with friendly shopkeepers and decent restaurants. The standard room we booked was spotlessly clean with a functioal bathroom, but very small. A simple breakfast could be purchased but nearby street food was much better value. Beers were cheep!

Courtyard Hotel in Non-Touristy Area”
this hotel is on the same subway line as renmin university which was convenient for us as we were visiting someone there. it's not so convenient if you want to be close to the wangfujing/downtown area. it's in a non-touristy area with various reasonably-priced restaurants and stores within walking distance. seems safe to walk around there at night. the hotel is down an alleyway that taxis can't go to, so if you have a lot of luggage or have difficulty walking far, it won't work for you. few amenities. staff friendly, but included breakfast is poor - they charge extra for a teabag! the one suite they have is the best choice, as the other rooms are small.

Simply excellent. Staff very welcoming. All in the Deluxe Room was impeccable. Roof Top terrace is the reason I chose this place. I highy recommend it.

Great Hotel and the Best Service”
Room was clean, Lillie's help was invaluable, who owns the place. Very quaint little place off the beaten path. However can be hard to find even for taxi drivers, so you need to be aware of where the place is.

Small Inn in the valley but safe to stay”
It's not easy to find the Inn in the beginning, so if you do not know mandarin, it might be difficult. Whn asking for direction, it is best to quote the main street (same main rd as Xidan shopping complex) then find your way among the alley to the Inn. The day staff, Lilly is much more friendlier than the night one and there will always be someone waiting at the reception for last guest to return to the Inn. Altho its a small Inn (with only 7 rooms), it is actually quite safe! Tour arrangement can also be done by the Inn and they pick u up at the Inn, which is very convenient. Standard room is rather cramp, but if you got the budget, do pick the Suite, which is only one. Breakfast is not very attractive, only serve you bread and coffee (by coffee machine). They have a fridge with beer, mineral water bottle and soft drink with a cost.

Very friendly and helpful staff. They have helped with tickets, directions, taxi arrangements. Only location is hard to find even for taxi drivers, so be prepared. Small beds, hard to accommodate 2 adults and 2 young children. But it was worth to stay there any way. Recommended. Tom from USA.
