Excellent hotel in a lovely setting right on the Nile - beautiful views - we could see the pyramids in the distance from our bed! The suite was very spacious and comfortable with top quality amenities and two balconies overlooking the ...

I spent a weekend in Cairo and wanted a bit of comfort. The Conrad has all the luxury of a five star hotel if location is not a priority. It is about 10 blocks from the Egypt Museum and the centre of town. The hotel is right next to the Nile and the "Nile view" from your room is spectacular. But you would have to take a taxi to any of the major tourist sites in Cai...

This hotel is located right in the center of Cairo. Forget the news reports: It was very safe to be right next to Tahrir Square as of December 2013, and frankly, as someone who has been to Cairo many times, this was the most quiet I've ever seen the city. Now is the time to visit. There was literally no sign of political unrest while I was there. About the hotel: I...

Very good hotel with great location. It will be fine for business travellers & for holidays also. In 2 min one can reach a very nice park & one can have a walk along the riverside. There's a roof which offers to admire fantastic views. Heated pool & jaccuzzi. Breakfast was pretty good, but not the best one. I would stay this hotel again & would ecommend it to my fr...

It is remote and feels far from everything and hotel feels gloomy and dark. Tge furniture is old and worn out. I ended up booking at the Hilton for 1 of the 3 nights I booked even though I had a place to stay for 1 of the nights at al masa hotel. It's also lacks vibrancy. The ambiance in the Hilton was z lot more vibrant and lively. Will not think of staying here agai...

I had sooooooo much trouble looking for the hotel. The local taxi drivers (not just one of them but a few of them) have no idea where the hotel is... One of them kept telling me that there is only two hiltons in Cairo, and we had to go to all two of them before we've finally arrived at the right one, the Cairo World Trade Centre Residence. This is considered a very high end hotel by Cairo standards. If you are used to five star hotels you may be dissapointed as the cleanliness and service are not up to western five star standards. It is a beautiful building from the outside, and even the courtyard is beautiful, but the rooms are a little run down.

Hotel has the best location, I strongly advise to chose a room with view to the pyramids. Breakfast was very good, as well as dinner. Overall ambience is nice and relaxing. Staff is very welcoming and helpful. Our daughter got sick and they allowed us to stay until 15:00 (check out is 12:00) so she could sleep it out, without any extra charge. Kids pool was a bit too...

I stayed for a total of 6 nights. I took a cab from the airport. I was charged 250 EGP. I suggest getting online and booking an Uber ride (it costs less than 200 EGP). You can buy a local SIM card at the airport for 200 EGP. Well worth it as it is cheaper to take Uber than regular cabs in Cairo. I chose the Golden Park Hotel because of its proximity to Cairo International Airport. It's a budget priced hotel ten minutes away by taxi or Uber. The room was decent: not too small, and the air conditioning worked well. Satellite tv afforded a number of options. The breakfast buffet on the top floor with the outdoor veranda was quite nice. The Le Meridian has a lot going for it. Beautiful location overlooking the pyramids, a great pool and spa facility, and easy access to the pyramids. They were also helpful to let me leave my bags there overnight when I went camping in the desert (which request they initially refused). The dinner buffet was average at best and unremarkable in any way. However, our ...

I stayed here 5 nights and it was good value for money! * The hotel has a boutique style charm - it’s basic but very comfortable. * My room was spacious and clean - I would recommend a room with a balcony. * Location is great - 5 min walk to the museum, 10 min walk to the Nile. * Staff are very friendly and accommodating - they helped me organise all my tours over e...

We stayed at this hotel on the first and last night due to our flights next day. The shower flooded instantly, but they fixed it. I'm still surprised the cleaning people weren't aware of it. Can schedule airport shuttle in advance or wait for it at the airport. There is a Kiosk at the airport. Lots of restaurant options- foods from different parts of the world. Egyptian restaurant outside with live music--order the grilled pigeon- not the stuf...
Cheap places to stay in Al Jizah Governorate

The place is pretty hard to find since it is in the 10th story of a normal house (no worries, there is an elevator). The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful and will try everything to translate whenever the two staff members who speak very good english are not around. The rooms are clean enough, spacious and the view is out of this world. Make sure to take a room...

I can't imagine having had more help during our stay in Cairo. Our flight and bags were delayed but the hotel sent a taxi driver who waited patiently for us (at 3 am!) with a great car. After Reading all the positive feedback I felt like I was making the right decision Once my mother and I got on location and went to the rooftop our mouth dropped. I was initially going to book at the Meridian to have comfort and poo...

This hotel is a decent hotel for the price, and it 10-15 walk to the british muesum and the posh side of Cairo. However this Hotel is located in a dirty part of Giza. Forget about every other category. if you are mesmerised by the pyramids and the sphinx, as I am, this hotel has the best location of any hotel in the entire world. We chose to stay in Zamalek as it is regarded as a safe and secure place in Cairo. We were not dissappointed. The hotel sits along the Nile and we booked a supeior room with a Nile view. This hotel saved my life from a taxi driver from hell. Long story short, hailed a taxi from Downtown Cairo, and what was supposed to be a 15 min drive turned out to be a 2 hour "city tour". No amount of screaming at the taxi driver helped, and having a GPS in my hand was only a painful reminder of how much time i'm wasting. Only after the meter hit a 100 pounds was...

I have to say Mr Wael is the best, he always did more than I asked for. Other staff were also very nice and helpful. The hotel is not near anything in particular, however, I will still highly recommend the property. The staff is top notch, as is the property itself. Great gym and pool. Amazing beds, rooms, dining options... Everything you would expect from the Hilton except the price(due to the location. I will certainly stay here again on my return to the city.

The receiption staffs were very friendly and tried their best to get the room for what customer expected. Why Al Jizah is a Must-Visit Destination
Al Jizah is steeped in rich history and cultural significance, making it an essential stop for any traveler to Egypt. Home to the Great Pyramid of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, this area is a treasure trove of historical landmarks that tell the story of ancient civilizations. The sheer scale and architectural brilliance of the pyramids leave visitors in awe, and a visit to this site is a chance to connect with history in a way that few other places can offer.
Another highlight of Al Jizah is the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, which houses a vast collection of artifacts that span thousands of years. From mummies to intricate jewelry, the museum showcases the artistry and craftsmanship of ancient Egypt. Taking the time to explore the museum not only enriches one’s understanding of the region’s history but also allows for a deeper appreciation of the cultural heritage that has shaped modern Egypt.
In addition to these iconic sites, Al Jizah is also home to the Gizeh Plateau, where visitors can explore more than just the pyramids. The plateau offers stunning views of the surrounding desert landscape and the Sphinx, making it a perfect spot for photography enthusiasts. The Mosque of Muhammad Ali is another landmark that should not be missed, with its stunning architecture and panoramic views of the city from its elevated position. These attractions, combined with the vibrant local culture, make Al Jizah an unforgettable destination.
The Perfect Seasons to Experience Al Jizah
When planning a visit to Al Jizah, timing can significantly enhance the experience. The best times to explore this area are during the spring and autumn months when the weather is mild and enjoyable. From March to May and September to November, travelers can expect comfortable temperatures that are ideal for outdoor activities and sightseeing. During these seasons, visitors can also partake in local festivals and events that showcase the rich culture of Egypt. Engaging with these festivities not only enhances the travel experience but also provides a unique insight into the vibrant community spirit of Al Jizah.
While summer can be quite hot, with temperatures soaring, it’s still possible to enjoy Al Jizah by scheduling activities for the cooler parts of the day, such as early mornings or late afternoons. Winter, on the other hand, can be quite chilly, especially at night, so layering up is advisable. Regardless of the season, Al Jizah offers a wealth of experiences waiting to be uncovered.
