Pros: Very close to the Masjid Al Haram, very convenient for the elderly people. Taxi service to the airport from the reception desk was phenomenal! Iftaar buffet was delicious. Cons: Bathroom was not as clean as expected. Obviously the price is in the higher range. The receiption desk was way crowded, should engage some seasonal staff during the rush period. The worst...

The hotel is ideally located and closest to the Haram. Even if compared with the budget hotels around, the price difference is bearable for a short pilgrimage stay. The budget hotels are atleast 500m and farther and if travellers are elderly people or someone travelling with younger kids, the hotel is best located. The breakfast is sumptuous (if one opts to take with ...

Location: It is 5 minutes walking distance to Bab-e-Abdul Aziz entrance but during Namaz times there is shuttle service which runs to and from the haram. We had a great stay in Conrad Makkah. It was my 4th visit to this hotel, and we picked it for its beautifully designed & spacious rooms, the comfortable beds, the cleanliness of the hotel, great breakfast options and most importantly its closeness to Alharam! I've been to Makkah 3 times within the last few years. This hotel is without a doubt the best hotel if travelling with children or elderly parents like I was doing. Never had to wait longer than 10seconds for a lift. You can get to the haram from your room within 5 mins. Clean rooms, excellent service. Amazing breakfast. Will def stay here again on my return InshAllah....

My stay was mid June with a %67 discounted price through agoda. A friendly staff from trolly guys to manager. Very supportive and quick in service, clean rooms. Since all the big players are absent from Taif, I did what I dreaded the most and booked with a local brand hotel. I was shockingly pleased because it exceeded my expectations and by a mile. Great rooms, great services and the shipping centre is down under. I liked it.

The lobby is very good and spacious. There are multiple eateries nearby and makkah mall is also not that far. The room was not that good as expected and as it should have been after seeing the lobby. Quite a bit small. The bus to haram drops at a far away point but all the buses drop you off there so it balances out.

the makkah hilton towers is somewhat less flashy than its sister hotel, the makkah hilton and the different entry points was a bit confusing for first time pilgrims like us. towers reception area is located in the basement carpark whereas the latter is on the ground floor. we booked a tower family room for four nights in august this year through agoda. check in was qui...

I stay for 1 night here, i catch a very good price for the room, compare it's 4 star hotel, it was a brilliant price, this hotel not close to "Haram" you need at least 10 minutes by taxi or car to reach "Haram" but the hotel offer free transportation (BUS) going frequently to "Haram" every hour and 24 hour, which is great, bus will drop you in a point need to walk anot...

This is newly built 5 star hotel of Millennium Chain of Hotels. It has all facilities which you expect from any 5 star hotel. If you are coming to Makkah by car this hotel would be the best choice as it has free secured parking space for 200 cars. Per night rates are very less as compared to other 5 star hotels in Makkah and the reason is its location which is 2.3 kilo...

When i want to check in,they said my name not in the list from agoda and when i want use hotel from hotel to call agoda, they dnt allowed it and ask me to call by myself. After everything settled, i can checkin. I book for 6 day n after 3 day,the hotel ask me to check out because they said i only booking for 3 day only. Again,i call agoda to solve this stupid problem.

Hotel is good and clean, Staff is very polite and helpful, 12 minutes walk to Masjid Al Haram No buses on the way Taxi taking 5 to 10 sar to Masjid Mr. Shahid is very nice, polite and helpful man on counter, Shared kitchen, all rooms wifi but very slow, tea maker, cleanliness, free water for all over all very good hotel.

I booked hotel from 22/03/2018 until 24/03/2018. I already mentioned that i will arrive at 6am on 23/03/2018 but when i meet with receptionist. They informed us that there is no KEY available as you booked through online. You have to wait until 2pm. I had to stay until 10 am then they provide key after long discussion with management. Didn't accept agoda booking. And started call bad names on agoda. Asked me to cancel my agoda booking and they will give me the same for the same price. My booking were for 3 bed room. They gave me a two bed room and remover some furniture to squeeze additional 3rd bed. We waited for long time to get our room although we arrived to hotel at 10 pm. Even though the room ...

The staff did not know English so it was extremely difficult to communicate. The walk to the Haram was a mission going up and down a long steep hill. There was only one place to eat nearby which you had to run across the dual carriage to get too. The rest of the food places were around a 10 minutes walk. There was a grocery shop in a nearby hotel otherwise you also had...

Had a really good stay, the room was clean, the aircon was working fine (remote control WAS provided), lifts, shuttle service to the haram was good (working 30 mins before each prayer), one thing that was quite annoying was the key to the hotel room would stop working, and would have to go all the way to reception to fix it, then all the way back up. Also, i was sittin...

Welcome was very bad. Check in was very pathetic. Lock was damage of offered room. Staff insisted me to upgrade the room to get a good lock for door. They gave me other room when I asked I will call to Agoda about this. Location on Agoda site isn't correct. When you click from Agoda on directions it gives you wrong location. But in searching on Google you reach to the ...

The management is quite polite and will respond to your queries. Only problem is the size of washroom shower which is a bit short especially to accommodate a fatty person. Otherwise, it is a good choice and market is also nearby. Bus service to Haram and back to hotel is also available.

My stay was fantastic, when I first arrived at the hotel I was meant to get a standard room but the staff upgraded me to a suite which was awesome, I ask the staff what time is the check out they said 12pm but I forget to set my alarm for that instead I checked out late about 3pm and they welcomed me with a smile and not asking for extra charges... The hotel is very good, well maintained and relatively newly built. The furniture and the flooring all look new and clean. It is highly recommended however only if you have your own transport. It is at least a 15 minutes drive from the Masjid al-Haram. That is not very convenient when you have to pay SAR 15 five times a day to reach the Haram to say your prayers and th...

This is my fourth stay at this hotel. The hotel is in a good location in Mahbas Aljin with a great value for money, clean, steps away from the public transportation which makes it easy for you to move from and to the Haram. There are some remarks to mention : 1) It is very difficult to find a parking. 2) The room facilities including cleaning, water, tea, and coffee,...

Everything is fabulous, the staff is so friendly, the room is very clean, moreover their fast services, and I like even their security system which reflect how value their customer is, when I order a meal from out side they don't allow them to come to my room, they pick the meal themselves and bring it to me. But there is only one thing if they did they would be perfec...

this apartment hotel is excellent for the Business Traveler who has interests or work at the Hilton Hotel exhibition center. Everything was extremely good starting from facilities, staff response, care, breakfast, to location. Though it is in aziziya shumali, hotel has regular schedule for buses that is provided to guests. It's one of the well-known hotels in Jeddah, you cant go wrong with the location and the view. I just noticed the cleanliness of the room and the facilities has decreased since last time I visited in 2015. Nevertheless, it's still one of the best hotels in Jeddah, highly recommended.

An amazing hotel. Just book the hotel and you will feel that you have booked yourself a room in paradise. More about Makkah
Uncovering the Spiritual Heart of Makkah
Makkah, or Mecca, holds an unparalleled place in the hearts of Muslims around the globe. As the birthplace of the Prophet Muhammad, it stands as the holiest city in Islam, drawing millions of pilgrims annually for the sacred rituals of Hajj and Umrah. The city is not only a spiritual hub but also a vibrant center of culture and tradition, where ancient customs blend seamlessly with the modern world. Walking through Makkah, one can feel the profound sense of devotion that envelops the city, especially around the magnificent Al-Masjid al-Haram Mosque, which houses the revered Kaaba. This black cube-shaped structure is the focal point of Islamic worship, and pilgrims from every corner of the earth converge here to perform their prayers and rituals.
As you stroll through the bustling streets, the sights and sounds of Makkah come alive. The aroma of traditional dishes wafts through the air, inviting you to explore the local cuisine. The rich history of the city is palpable in every corner, from the ancient architecture to the stories shared by locals. Makkah is not just a destination; it is an experience that deepens one's faith and connection to the Islamic community. Whether you are on a spiritual journey or simply curious about this remarkable city, Makkah promises to leave a lasting impression.
Discovering the Best Time to Experience Makkah
Timing your visit to Makkah can significantly enhance your experience. The city experiences a desert climate, characterized by hot summers and mild winters. The best times to visit are during the cooler months, from October to April, when temperatures are more pleasant for outdoor activities and sightseeing. Additionally, consider the timing of Islamic holidays and pilgrimage seasons. The Hajj, which occurs annually during the Islamic month of Dhu al-Hijjah, attracts millions of pilgrims, so booking accommodations well in advance is essential if you plan to visit during this time.
Another significant period is the month of Ramadan, when Muslims fast from dawn until sunset. The atmosphere in Makkah during this holy month is uniquely spiritual, with special prayers and increased activities around the mosque. However, be prepared for larger crowds, particularly in the evenings when families gather to break their fast. If you prefer a quieter experience, consider visiting during the off-peak months, such as the summer, but be aware that temperatures can soar, making outdoor exploration challenging.
Essential Travel Tips for Your Makkah Journey
Traveling to Makkah requires some preparation to ensure a respectful and enjoyable visit. Understanding the local culture is crucial; modest dress is expected, especially when visiting religious sites. For men, this typically means wearing long pants and a shirt with sleeves, while women should wear loose-fitting clothing that covers their arms and legs. Many women choose to wear a abaya (a long robe) and a headscarf when in public. Familiarizing yourself with these customs not only shows respect but also enhances your experience in the city.
Health and safety are also important considerations. Make sure to stay hydrated, especially if you're visiting during warmer months. It's wise to carry a bottle of water with you at all times. Additionally, keep your personal belongings secure, as crowded areas can be hotspots for pickpockets. It's advisable to have travel insurance that covers health emergencies, as well as a list of emergency contacts, including local hospitals. Lastly, familiarize yourself with the city layout; knowing key landmarks can help you navigate Makkah more easily.
Where to Stay for a Memorable Makkah Experience
Choosing the right accommodation in Makkah can significantly impact your visit. The city offers a wide range of options, from luxurious hotels to budget-friendly stays. For those seeking a lavish experience, the Al Safwah Orchid Hotel is an excellent choice, known for its prime location near the Haram, spacious rooms, and a delightful breakfast spread. The management is highly praised, ensuring guests feel welcomed and comfortable throughout their stay.
If you're looking for something more affordable without compromising comfort, the Elaf Ajyad Hotel offers great value with easy access to the holy sites. Families traveling with children will find the Al Kiswah Towers Hotel particularly accommodating, providing family-friendly amenities and a welcoming atmosphere. For budget-conscious travelers, the Al Ebaa Hotel Makkah is a solid option, featuring essential services and a convenient location. No matter your budget, Makkah has accommodations that cater to every need, making it easy to find the perfect place to rest after a day of exploration.

Exploring Makkah is an adventure in itself, and understanding your transportation options can enhance your experience. The city is well-connected, making it easy to navigate between the main attractions, including the sacred sites and local markets. Public transport is a viable option, with buses and taxis readily available. The local bus system is affordable and can take you to key destinations, but be sure to check the routes and schedules in advance.
Taxis are another convenient way to get around Makkah. They are plentiful and can be hailed from the street or booked through local apps. Always ensure that you agree on a fare before starting your journey, as many taxis do not have meters. For those who prefer a more personal touch, consider hiring a private driver for the day, which allows you the freedom to explore at your own pace and visit less accessible sites like Hira Cave or Silver Sands Beach.
