"We had a realy pleasant stay at this resort. We stood here for 5 nights, mu (the manager) arranged the transfer to the hotel from phuket airport for us. We arrived lately and ontop our bags stuck in Abu Dhabi so we arrived with nothing but the clothes we wear. The busdriver kindly stopped at khao lak to that we could buy some clothes and hygienic stuff. Nevertheless we arrived at 10pm at the resort they offered us some realy delicious food for dinner. The place itself fantastic, you will find nice and clean rooms, nestled right in the trees of this tropical forest. You are surrounded just by the nature. At nighttime, just sit in the terrace in front of your room and listen to the sound of nature. Compared to most of the other places around khao sok, this one is away from the main streets and you are not bothered by the sound of cars and buses. A few hundred meters from the resort, you will find a beautiful place where you can take a swim in the khao sok river. That was a great refreshment and far better than any kind of a swimming pool could be. If you do not know how to get there, the staff will of course help you out ;-) The overall friendliness of the staff was amazing, the quality of the food also. Especially Mu was extremely helpful and realy took care of us and our welfare. We also booked two tours through the resort, we went for the elephant tour and the Cheow Lan Lake Tour, both trips where very nice and we had a lot of fun. We definitely recommend Rock and Treehouse Resort and will come back when we are in Khao Sok next time! "

"Hotel location is walking distance from the entrance to the National Park where you can find several hiking trails to the waterfalls. However it is far (60km) from the Cheo Lan Pier which is the gate for the boat trips over the Lake. So you need to either book a tour there or have a rental car, which was our case. We went for a 2h boat trip over the lake in company of 8 people which cost us 2000bath for the boat which is overpriced and not worth that however you have no options there. Talking about hotel itself, staff was friendly and helpful, our tent bungalow was quite comfortable with air conditioning, shower and big comfortable bed. So in general I can recommend this hotel if you want to stay in Khao Sok area."

"The hotel is very basic - a good bed and a clean room, but the experience k was extra ordinary. I had such a great time exploring the resort with my family and my furbaby who became a resort dog. She was the happiest as she was able to explore the whole resort freely. The views of the resort is spectacular. they have a small “beach” next to the stream and you have all the jungle to explore next to you. I will definitely come back to bring my friends. Wonderful experience for the whole family."

"We stayed here for 2 nights, and loved every minute. The resort is nestled in a beautiful tropical garden, and each room has an amazing balcony with cushioned seats that look out at the hufe limestone cliffs khao sok is famous for. The room itself was very clean, with a nice big shower (hot water pressure is low), a minibar fridge, t.v and good air-con. There is no safe though. Be prepared for a few bugs, it is the jungle, so bring or by mosquito repellent. At the entrance to the resort there is a small mini mart for basic things. Breakfast was simple but good (included) and the restaurants ordered meals for dinner and lunch are really good and at reasonable prices! The couple who run the place are amazingly nice and helpful - offering good advice and not trying to push tours on us (they even persuaded us not to go on the night safari because it wouldn't be good in the rain). Since the resort itself is a bit far from the main town and entrance to the park, Mr. Bao (the owner) offers to take you there and back whenever you like, free of charge! Overall we would really recommend this place, and khao Sok in general. Just be prepared for a lot of rain in the rainy season (it is a rain forest!). Compared to other resorts in the area, it has really good value and good conditions (air-conditioned, clean, new looking and not a rustic cabin) "

"I stayed in three rooms at Nung House. The first was an upgrade as the room I booked wasn't free. It was lovely. The second room was basic, but clean, had everything I needed. The last room after I returned from a Cheow Lan Lake tour (also booked through Nung House) was somewhere in the middle a lovely room with a massive bed that was given to me at a discount. Because of the Virus, the hotel stopped taking bookings while I was staying there and partly closed, but you would never have known from the service I received. I never felt like I was in the way, like they were waiting for me to leave. The hotel is a 5 or 10 min walk from the main strip in Khao Sok, it's beautiful, with limestone cliffs in the distance and a beautiful well kept garden with swings and a couple of hammocks to relax on. The food in the restaurant was also great, with loads to choose from and an excellent Pad Thai! I will definitely return to Nung House should I come back to Khao Sok, it felt like home"

"When we arrived in Khao Sok, we were picked up from the bus station free of charge. Once at the hotel we were served cold orange juice - much appreciated. We stayed for one night, booked a 2 days 1 night stay through the hotel on the lake in Khao Sok (and had our luggage stored in the hotel in the meantime), then came back for another night's stay. Really enjoyed the lake tour, although the hotel wasn't the one organizing this but they arranged it for us. The hotel stay was also pleasant, and although the hotel area was under renovation, it didn't bother us much. We were given 2 free dinners as compensation and our only related issue was that the water was out for about 30 minutes once. The receptionist's service was excellent and she helped us book our onward trip to Koh Lanta by minivan (the trip wasn't visible on 12Go). The "swimming pool" was a bit of the river, I don't know if I'd call it a pool and we didn't try it but I guess it was a bit charming, if you're prepared for it."

"apart from the beauty of khao sok NP itself, the stay in a treehouse resort was absolutely special and unique and i would say this stay was one of our highlights of the trip"

"Nice basic Treehouse accommodation in Khao Sok village, a little apart from the main road leading up to the national park entrance. Quite a lot of bugs due to being up a tree in/next to rainforest. It's a beautiful place and next to the river, which I imagine you could paddle in (but we didn't have time). Staff were friendly and helpful. The only thing I didn't appreciate was the hard sell of expensive tours and excursions in and around the national park by the owner as soon as we arrived. This made us feel stressed rather than relaxed. "

The restaurant was very natural, the food good and very reasonably priced. Surprisingly good Internet access here. The a khao Sok area is amazing, we stated an extra day."
