Very good location, clean rooms”

This location is very close to all tourist spots in Vientiane，presidential palace，Arc de Triomphe，Temples, night markets, all within 2km... The decor is beautiful, the sheets are very fresh and very clean.

Nice hotel for the money but rubbish breakfast”

Nice clean hotel and friendly staff but don’t pay extra for breakfast or expect decent coffee because there is a nice coffee shop in the lobby. The premade coffee tastes like treacle and your breakfast is either noodle soup or a terrible egg sandwich. The hotel was fine though

Very friendly staff”

We planned to stay only 2 nights but extended our stay for 5 nights because the staff made our stay so comfortable. Cleaning upon request and eclectic furnishings made it a fun experience. Chat and learn from ex-monk Khampan, who speaks English well and is so friendly and helpful. Breakfast is either delicious noodles or a simple sandwich. Lots of food stalls around the corner, and the main Teaching temple is across the street.

Centrally located, good restaurants and bars nearby, even though we had a room facing the main street, the noise was not that bad. however, the breakfast was bad. only half of a toast and soup which you couldnt eat!

Experience at the hotel was good, but online and phone communications unresponsive”

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Convenient, clean, good price, friendly staff who speak English. All good until I forgot something in the room on check out day. It was a rather expensive watch that I feel bad for losing. I called within 2 hours of checkout and talked with the front desk. He said he would check my room for the item and call back, but he never responded. I sent an email via Agoda, and a message via their Facebook page including a photo of the lost watch. No response for both. Then, I asked one of my Lao friends to call. Someone at the hotel responded to her and said that they didn't find anything in the room. I don't really believe that, but I can't prove it. I liked everything about the hotel except that they ignored my attempts at communication.

We stayed here with our 2 young sons (11 & 9) in Sep 18. The hotel is trying really hard to be better than it is & a bit more attention to detail & it would be there. It says recently refurbished...I think it was but for example my first shower in the room washed a lot of the freshly painted lime green paint off the tiles. The finishing around windows, door frames etc is pretty poor but you have to keep reminding yourself it's a 2 star hotel! The reception area is great for just chilling out & having a beer or coffee, wifi is ok, there are plenty of plugs so you can use a laptop or charge your phone as you chill. The staff are very helpful & try their hardest but I think they have limited scope to make any big changes. Breakfast was a bit odd. Either a big bowl of noodle soup or a half toasted sandwich. You couldn't have the porridge which was half the price of the soup & the same price as the sandwich!! All in all, considering the location & free breakfast, it's good value for money

Very food environment and very clean ”

This was definitely the best budget hostel/hotel we stayed in Laos. Super clean, good amenities provided, hot water maker , and fridge. There’s a very mice cafe inside the hotel and another one just beside it. The environment is absolutely the best. Beautifully decorated and well equipped. For sure we recommend this place. Only thing to consider is that old ppl wouldn’t have an easy situation to go up to 3rd floor if their room is there. No elevator here.

We are a family of 6 so as you could imagine not the quietest but the staff and owner were very friendly and generous to us. The owner bought our kids little snacks and always said hello. They gave us extra bedding for our little ones to sleep on and the staff cleaned our room daily and did a very good job of it. I would recommend 1M Hotel to anyone very clean and affordable well done 1M.

Cute Place!”

Cute hotel (borderline kitsh) on the main road! The room has a lot of furniture and props for you pictures, event though the finish of the rooms is quite "rough". The staff is very helpful and there is a cool cafe at the lobby! The only bad point is that my aircon began to be noisy in the middle of then night and had to stop it.

Great location and friendly staff”

location was great being near the river which has a night market. Also the restaurants and stores nearby are open and friendly to tourists making it pretty easy to find whatever you need whether it is traditional Laos style food or western or Mediterranean. Loads of coffee shops nearby, one even connected to the hotel itself making it a perfect spot to connect if you need to or to just sit down with a good book. The staff are great and will help you with whatever you need or are around for just a good conversation. The original room I booked was still being used so I was upgraded for no additional costs and the room/ bathroom was clean and had everything I needed including reliable WiFi. Definitely would come back to stay here.

Excellent value for the money in Vientiane”

We really enjoyed our stay at 1M Hotel in Vientiane. The room was clean and large enough and the fan was very nice to sleep with. The basic rooms have a window into the aile of the hotel, but we found it still quiet and the room lights were comfortable and bright. The breakfast included two options, which were unfortunately more catered for the Asian taste, but we got some egg sandwiches. All in all it was a great value for the money we paid.

We asked about a room with outside window, yet they stuck us in a dark room without natural light- when we asked if we can change to a room with window they wanted 40USD, even though we can just book that room for 8USD. The next room had windows but they were open glass panels that could not be closed (wtf?!) unbearable with 39°C inside and outside. The third room then had closable windows yet the the fridge from the pics was missing. Overall horrible staff experience, they make no effort to help and play dumb when you try to explain something obvious- like "we can't close the windows and it's 39°C!" Good location though

Kong at the reception is very friendly and professional, if you need any kind of help, he will attend to you immediately. Interior is a little run down, but still worth the price I have paid for.
