very quiet place with good Korean style breakfast. bed was comfortable and facilities are complete. swimming pool was small but not many people so can use it all by myself in a quiet environment. Suggest to couples and people with private vehicle.

Money grabbing”

We wanted to hold a meeting in their meeting room. We were told cost was USD25 per hour!! Plus beverages!! When we checked out, despite the fact we'd paid in advance via Agoda they first presented us with a bill for 1 nights accommodation then when we said it was wrong, they apologised and doubled it!! Can't blame the staff, they need a decent hotel manager.

The location is so far from everything. (But near to my workplace) If you does not have own vehicle you have to walk 200 m. from the main road to reception. However I found one good thing which is a convenience store near the hotel (500 m.) and open until midnight. I felt lucky when I got the room larger than my reservation but the cleanliness of bed was really horrible for me. I had an itch and could not sleep all night. So I found the some of somebody's hair and dirt on the bed and pillow. That mean they did not clean up the room after guest check-out. Do not try to stay here.

worst hotel ever stayed ”

Problems since checked-in until checked-out. Location is far away from everything. No room service and restaurant already closed even it is before 6pm. Mosquitoes everywhere. No bell boy - need to carry the luggage to the room by myself. WiFi not work well. Misleading information from receptionist that WiFi is available in room but there is not. Breakfast quality is awful. Closest food shop is 2 kilometers from the hotel entrance! No electricity due to car crashed to electric pole outside the hotel but they do not have electric generator. Hot water have to wait for more than 10 mins and only hot for 2 mins then turned cold again. Staff is lazy and unfriendly. Room is not clean and have stains at the curtain & dust at the windows like never clean for years. TV signal not working on last day. This is the worst hotel I ever stayed and I will definitely not going back to this hotel & not recommend to anyone!

the hotel is a little far away from the airport and the city area. need $8 from air port to hotel. there are not wifi and wireless but cable and internet are available. rooms are big, staffs are really helpful. air con in the rooms are too noisy.

Would definately reccommend-the staff went beyond the call -ensuring we had a wonderful stay. Cannot compliment the Manageress enough- extremely attentive & she continually went the extra mile to help resolve our traveling problems. She told us she will be leaving The Cosmo next month to manage another Hotel in Vientienne-The Cosmo's loss will be the new Hotels gain!

Great Hotel very friendly,free transfer,very clean”

We stayed for one week, and had no complains, nice hot water, toilet and rooms are clean, air condition very strong, breakfast is flexible, Internet is great via lan and wireless and free of charge good to use skype and call back home, Staff was very friendly and accomodating. Overall great place to stay and sure when we go back to Laos this is whre we go again!!! thanks

although the hotels situation was to far from the town centre, when back in the hotel a feeling of coming home...with a welcoming warm staff particularly "sherry/cheri" front desk person. very helpful and sincere. swimming pool was clean and a comfortable area.. all the staff were very sincere and made me feel quite special and a wanted guest.. in all a very good experience.

Colonial Feel at a Distance”

The Cosmo Hotel is a beautiful oasis away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Vientiane. The hotel has clean spacious rooms and a great pool. Perhaps it was the location or the fact that it was not the high season but the hotel was empty. When full, I can imagine this place is much better. However, the hotel is located far from the downtown where all the restaurants are and to get transportation is difficult and not cheap.

The room was clean, good size and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The bathroom was very good too except at day time while it was hot the cold water was hot, it was cold in the morning (lag those pipes). The swimming pool was nice with some good effects like the fountain and lighting in the evening. The food too was good and reasonably priced (we liked the Korean food the most). There was a computer room next to reception with Internet which was free to use.

This is the only hotel ever in over 60 countries that we have paid in advance for 3 nights and walked out after one. Unless you want to experience a vast, empty, communist-Russia style place, avoid this hotel like the plague.

Nice staff, Clean and comfortable hotel”

We had very comfortable rooms and the pool was refreshing and clean. The hotel was not crowded and the staff helped us find our way around Vientiane. The breakfast that was included in our stay had some great options. The only problem was that the hotel was a bit far away from the tourist area of town.

Overall-good, staffs are friendly and accomodating the chambermaids should learn simple english so that they can communicate with the hotel guests.Envirnoment is clean and quiet. Breakfast has not much choices daily. The Korean restaurant needs to improve as the california rolls we order is mushy and the soup is not pipping hot enough. TV programs preferable with english subtitles for their native programs.

Reasonable but not great”

I went to the Cosmo Hotel in Vientiane, Laos for a t4-days trip. The selection was based on some internet reviews, the price of the rooms, a recommendation by a friend and the proximity to NUL university. My impression from the place is twofold: On the one hand the rooms are clean, have TV and WLAN (which has to be paid extra, though!), on the other hand I felt like the only person in the hotel, which has not much charm and seems very cold to me. The staff was attentive, but sometime lacked the right skills and the breakfast was ... not very nutritious and had no quality. One has also to keep in mind that the distance from the center will add at least $10-12 per day to make a taxi/tuk-tuk trip downtown and back.

Cosmo Hotel CCC, Vientiane”

The hotel is worn down and needs a thorough maintenance job. Our room was not cleaned properly when we arrived. As a proof of this there were condoms (unused!) left by previous hotel guests in the room which had not been taken away by the room maids. The bathroom was dirty and there were huge amounts of dust hanging down from the ceiling inside the room. The pool in itself was nice, but the pool area lacked sunbeds (only chairs available) and there were nobody present to man the pool bar, which was closed, and to hand out towels. We had to ask for towels in the reception as the cleaning lady did not speak English well enough to understand what we were asking for. The hotel restaurant is expensive and the food is bad. You get much better food by the river side in Vientiane city center. The hotel is located far outside the city (approx. 8 kilometers) and a tuk tuk ride cost around USD 5-7 depending. However, we do not complain about the location as we deliberately chose to stay outside the city to have some relaxation by the pool.

the stuff was very friendly, the breakfast was very special and good. the prices were normal. the hotel is a famous place for wedding parties and other big family parties in Vientiane. the lobby was great in combination from traditional and modern style. during our stay, there were only 5 people in this very big hotel.

The Cosmo is a bombastic, huge complex with no positive "life" in it. A poor relic from a stately enterprise, poor management, helpless staff, dirty conditions, Agoda should`nt offer places like this, it kills your reputation--worth to pay a visit--in the negative sense--!
