All arrivo si ha l impressione di entrare in un posto poco curato e poco pulito. Bagni nella parte comune fatiscenti cosi come gli arredi. Deposito bagagli in uno spazio completamente incustodito. Camera prenotata doppia deluxe...... mobili rovinati , niente riscaldamento solo una stufetta elettrica. Per fortuna la camera era pulita. Colazione minimal. Abbiamo pagato 215 euro ...... non era per niente proporzionato allo stato della camera. Unico asperto positivo vicinissimo alla stazione centrale

All’arrivo siamo state accolte da una receptionist poco cortese e poco disponibile nel fornire informazioni. La camera (103) è datata e non ben mantenuta. Il bagno è dotato di vasca senza maniglioni o appoggi e per una persona anziana risulta difficile da utilizzare. La testa della doccia presentava evidenti tracce di muffa. All’ingresso della stanza alcune tavole del pavimento in legno non erano fissate correttamente, con rischio di inciampo. La posizione della struttura è buona e la colazione adeguata. Il resto dello staff si è dimostrato cordiale e disponibile, in particolare il receptionist uomo che ci ha fornito supporto durante il soggiorno.

Vengo da sempre in questo hotel ogni volta che capito a Zurigo. Sempre stato perfetto, ma stavolta faccio due osservazioni: 1) le pulizie delle stanze iniziano molto, troppo presto. E se una persona non ha orari in quanto è in vacanza, non è piacevole sentire di prima mattina aspirapolvere, sbattere delle cose,...e nemmeno che bussino alla tua porta e poi cerchino automaticamente di entrare (e questo nonostante sia la 1. notte di 2, e quindi nemmeno dovessi fare il check-out....e con 5h di anticipo!!!). 2) durante la colazione non hanno mai chiesto se volessi qualcosa di caldo (oltre al caffè americano messo a disposizione) da bere. Conoscendo l’hotel ho chiesto io...ma tutti gli altri che non lo sapevano? Purtroppo devo dire che, rispetto alle volte precedenti, è peggiorato.

I stayed at Hotel Montana Zurich from Feb 20–22 for my honeymoon, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. The biggest highlight is the location—less than 100 meters from Zurich HB, making it incredibly convenient for travel, especially with luggage. Despite being so central, the hotel was easy to locate and access. The room was on the smaller side, but it was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully equipped with all the essentials like a room heater, hair dryer, bedside lights, coffee with milk sachets, and a comfortable bed, free wi-fi. The bathroom was also neat and functional. Our room faced the road, but it didn’t impact the overall comfort. The staff were helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. The check-in and check-out process was very smooth, and a special mention for allowing us to store our luggage even after our stay, which was extremely convenient. Breakfast was very good, offering a nice variety to start the day. In terms of value, we paid around INR 30,000 for 2 nights during the off-season in February, which felt like a considerate deal considering the prime location and overall experience. There weren’t any major downsides during our stay. Overall, I would rate this hotel 5/5. A perfect option for travelers looking for comfort, convenience, and great connectivity in Zurich.

We had a pleasant 2-night stay here! We booked pretty late and on a weekend so the price hiked, otherwise it's a good budget option. Pros: - short walking distance to train station - vast food nearby, restaurants and budget (especially bahnhof underground) - convenient self check-in (a lil tech savvy is needed, otherwise there's always a staff too) - self-luggage storage - clean - crossaint at breakfast is great - bathtub!! Bathroom is great and spacious - coffee machine with pods Cons: - room smaller than what I booked (looks much smaller than 26m²) - I got the highest floor attic with 1/4 of the room ceiling inclined so that's wasted sitting area - A challenge placing our 2 large luggages Tips: - we kinda walked past this place the first time because there was no eye level hotel sign. The vertical sign above is not too obvious so just lookout for it. - can possibly ask for a change of room than what is assigned at self check in. We got the highest 5th floor unit during the hottest days and it wasn't a good idea. A fan could hardly salvage 🥵

Located 1 block away from the main train station. If you like to be in a quiet area, and a bit of a walk from the shops, this is the area for you. Coop supermarket is just a few steps away, Migros 1 block away. Bfast was pleasantly surprising (breads, cheeses, sliced fresh fruits, juice, milk, coffee, scrambled eggs, mushrooms) and excellent job on the server who promptly takes away the used dishes from the tables. Bed could be firmer, but the pillow is bad (pls do something about this). Only one fan is given so it can be hot during the day. The place has one old elevator which serves it purpose. Easy self check in and check out but there is 24/7 reception if you need help. Overall, I had an okay stay.

Location was great. About 10 mins away from Zurich HB. Check-in was smooth as it was a self check-in and they allowed for 2 keycards to be issued. Breakfast was decent as were the size of the rooms. This was the first hotel we encountered that had Fans, but possibly due to cold air not being able to get in. The fans were rather weak, however. We couldn't keep the windows wide open for too long due to rain and the room being on the 2nd floor, was prone to hearing the loud locals going home after a visit to their favourite bar. There were also no powerpoints on either side of the beds. And the walls were very thin where we could hear the heels of our neighbours and the banging of cleaning services each morning. Overall, this place could do better.

Stayed here for a short trip in Zurich. The location is excellent, literally right beside the train station, which made getting around extremely convenient. There was a small issue with the shower tap in my room as it broke during use, which was a bit inconvenient. The pillows were also slightly thin for my preference. That said, the overall stay was still good. The breakfast was really nice with a good variety. Overall, a comfortable stay and the location definitely makes it a great base for exploring the city.

The room is quite spacious, although it could use better lighting since it feels a bit dim. In terms of cleanliness, there’s still room for improvement. overall its all good for this price! The location is excellent as it’s very close to the station, which makes getting around super convenient. And the breakfast is definitely the highlight — one of the best I’ve had compared to other hotels, and the flavors are very suitable for an Asian palate.

Stay during Christmas Eve All the staff were very helpful, especially the front desk team. A gentleman and a lady at the front desk were exceptionally kind and supportive. Although they were very busy at the time, they remained patient and helpful throughout our interaction. The room was clean and comfortable. The private parking area was clean and well lit — you get what you pay for. Breakfast was good and met our expectations.

The staff was lovely, the location was perfect if you need easy train access (I did) but the self-check-in system did not work and the room was very underwhelming. It was loud, the carpet was stained all over and the bed was not at all comfortable. Breakfast was legit, and the option to store baggage was excellent (even though it wasn’t necessarily well guarded and you could come and go whenever). It was definitely more affordable than other options in the area so that, the staff and the proximity to the train station make this a place I’m mostly willing to recommend.

Although the room is small, it is very clean and cosy. The bedding were very comfortable. Unfortunately, I was assigned a room on the first floor next to the road which was a bit noisy especially on weekend nights. I arrived early and although I could not check in before 14:00, the staff was nice to let me keep my luggage and even offered me coffee while I waited for the time to pass. It was a very nice gesture. I stayed there before and will stay there again for the comfort, cleanliness and convenience

Location wise the hotel is perfect because its at the back of the main zurich station and main bus station so definitely a plus points and Coop grocery is at the side of the hotel so thats another plus points. But cleanliness especially at the room for 3 pax was not all clean. Plus they dont have heated towel racks. On our second and third night we transferred to a room for 2 pax and it was cleaner and new compared to the big room we got at first night.

The hotel is just few minutes walk from Zurich Train Station. Check-in is self serviced but the receptionist helped us with the check-in process. Check-in is strictly from 2pm. We were there early and we can store our luggages in their luggage storage room. No Concierge, service, we can just store and retrieve the luggage on our own. The room assigned to us was the classical style which is pretty old. Wardrobe was creeky, and bathroom tiles were cracked. Carpeted floor felt old too. Cleanliness can be improved. A portable Dyson heater/coolerfan is provided but was very dusty.. Fortunately the bed linens were clean. Grateful to have a Nespresso coffee machine provided in the room with coffee capsules. hot water can be dispensed tot make tea or cup noodles. The buffet breakfast is excellent with good selection.

The hotel is situated near the main train and bus station which is the best location you can have. Plus it is beside. Coop grocery store and for Muslims, it is front of a shawarma store. However, our first night on the floor for 3 pax the room we got was a hit old and not so clean especially the bathroom. But after the second night we transferred to another room good for 2 people and it was better and cleaner and new.

This is a basic hotel very close to Zurich Hauptbahnhof. Rooms are OK and basically and simply furnished -- it is clean and well maintained, except that the knob to turn the shower on was broken so only a bath was available. As someone with restricted mobility this was a difficulty. The breakfast was quite extensive with a feature being tasty fried rice (to which one can add egg, champignons, and diced ham. The rest was highly processed food (tinned fruit, cold meat) that looked poor quality. Staff were OK but they rely on the self-serve automated system for check in and out. No welcoming humans, as at other hotels. The area around includes a porn and a grug shop, but there are some decent restaurants and public transport just a block or two away from the hotel. It's an OK place for a night or two visiting Zurich.

I had stayed for a week there and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They told us what places we can visit around as well. The room was cleaned daily and breakfast was also included in the hotel, which was also decent. Moreover, our flight got delayed so they allowed us to keep luggage and sir in the hotel reception even after checkout. I would 100% recommend the hotel.

Loved the hotel. But, that said, I understand why the reviews are often contradictory. The reason, I believe, is that those who booked the cheapest room, hated it & those who booked & paid for a Deluxe (or better) room, loved it. Both got the rooms they paid for. Those who booked the cheapest room hated it. They expected a spacious room with a wooden wardrobe, lounge chair, desk & chair, large bathroom & tub, massive comfortable bed, Nespresso maker, and two double windows but that describes a Deluxe room. In this hotel, like in many others, it makes a difference. In modern U.S. hotels, most all rooms are identical, but not in Europe. Even in Switzerland the phrase applies: you get what you pay for. If you want a spacious room, book a Deluxe Room. I paid just a little extra than the standard room, and got the room described above; loved my stay at the Montana. Yes, other reviews complained that there is no A/C; that is the norm throughout Europe. If you want a/c book a hotel that specifically says they have a/c. And read the reviews because “a/c” in Europe may not be the sub-zero systems found in the U.S. I came early October, and although the days were warm & bright, the nights cooled down, especially with both windows left open. I actually used the comforter; it got chilly. And for the complaint re pillows, the reason is that the pillows are filled with down feather. Feather pillows (more expensive) tend not to hold up like the awesome American-made “My Pillow.” Maybe someday My Pillow will be everywhere. I am also not a fan of down feather pillows. Maybe you can ask in the request box to substitute down feather pillows for foam or some other firmer filler. Location is great if you need to be near the train station. Otherwise, it’s not. If you want to explore the old town or go on a lake or river cruise you will need to take the #4 tram. The distance is walkable but it’s not 5 minutes. Stayed for 1 night only with breakfast. Breakfast was good with lots of of variety and taste . They offer free luggage Storage and we spent our spare time after checkout in comfort in their restaurant area. Room and bathroom was clean and cosy value to money . Have big lift . A nice hotel with clean rooms generous breakfast, near the station, perfect for a brief stay. Dyson heaters/fans in room. The floorboards were not 100% stuck down in room ***. The shower head was leaky so more a 2 to 3 star experience, but the decor and smooth check in/out process felt 3 to 4 star. However note strict computerised check in at 2pm, so no arriving early. Great value for money for a Sunday night in Zurich at south of ***CHF. Wi fi worked. Would stay here again

Near to train station zurich Hb, walking from platform 18 to the last stop, turn right reached the back portion of the hotel 10 to 15 mins. room small, but clean. Nice breadfast included with fried rice beans with tomato sauce, vegetables & fruits. Helpful staff. At first cannot find the booking when Self check in, but with the help of a lady staff manage to check in manually at the counter. Overall, satisfied.

We are so happy for choosing this hotel. The location is excellent and easy to access to Zurich HB main station. Less than a 2 minute walk. It is close to many restaurants and supermarkets. The room its self is generous and clean. The self Checkin process was super easy. I would highly recommend this hotel for convenience.

Stayed there for only one night on arrival to Zurich and was allowed to leave our luggage after doing a pre check-in. The area has supermarkets, making it convenient to get our drinks and snacks. Bed was comfortable and spacious enough for the two of us. Had a good sleep in the room. The booking came with breakfast. Spread was simple but quite varied.

It's only 5 minutes to Zurich HB station. Breakfast is great and staff is exceptionally friendly and responsive. The furniture in the room (Side tables, wardrobe chair and sofa) is worn out and needs to be replaced. Mattress sags on the sides and uncomfortable. Pillows are too soft. Phones don't work. While bathroom is refurbished and modern, rest of the room needs an uplift.

We stayed for 3 nights. The hotel is in a good location, very clean, and offers a nice breakfast. The only downside was the check-in process. The receptionist was not very helpful and insisted on online self-check-in, which was frustrating. I had to complete the entire check-in myself, which was disappointing after a long journey. I’m not sure why the receptionist was present if assistance was not available. Overall, the hotel itself is good, but the customer service at check-in could be improved.

We stayed here for just one day and wished we had more time. The location is very convenient, close to both the train station and the museum. The receptionist was very helpful, and the breakfast spread offered plenty of variety. The coffee was excellent, and the room was clean and comfortable. Overall, it was a great stay.

Location is a plus point, 3-4 minutes walk from main Station and trams, Front desk person super helpful, Room , linens are were clean & satisfactory , i enjoyed the breakfast too,

3 of us (parents and an adult child) stayed at Hotel Montana for 2 nights. We were given a family room with 3 beds. It is an old property. Glass lift is very cute. Room was good, however had a slanted roof in the middle where the taller people bumped their head a couple of times on the first day :). Beds were very comfortable, pillows a bit too soft. No AC, had small Dyson fans which were quite adequate with the window partially open. There was a coffee machine in the room which we used for hot water for tea (no tea bags provided, I had my own, but I think one could get some from the Reception) Coffee pods and some creamer are provided. No fridge, microwave or iron in the room but could use the ones in reception. Plenty of hot water in the bathroom with good water pressure, however there is no exhaust so the bathroom gets awfully steamed up when taking a shower, and then the condensation makes everything damp. Hair Dryer is tiny but did the job. Breakfast was good - with continental as well as hot options like scrambled and boiled eggs, sausages, bacon and fried rice). Good spread, same on both days. Location is awesome - just 5-7 mins walk from the Zurich HB station, v close to tram stop as well. Lovely staff - very helpful and polite. Security person is on site at reception even during the night. It was a comfortable stay for us esp considering that we had to book at short notice due to last minute change in travel plans. It was an acceptably priced option in a fantastic location.
