“Non c’è molto da fare alle 4000 isole””

I bungalow vista giardino sono essenziali ma carini, con piccola veranda dove poter oziare. Dotati sia di ventilatore che A/C. Il costo lo trovo leggermente alto per il servizio offerto. Le 4000 isole non offrono molto al visitatore e sinceramente non mi hanno particolarmente entusiasmato.

Nice bungalow right by the Mekong ”

very nice bungalows right by the mekong river, great river views, quiet and relaxing. big windows, mosquito nets, hammock，deckchairs... it's got it all. the owner mr. pan is very friendly and helpful, he can arrange tours and bus tickets for you with reasonable prices. wifi only works in the restaurant. the only con i can think of is the shower water pressure is a bit iffy, but i heard from other travelers that other bungalows are pretty much the same... another thing is, i booked double bed, but got a twin instead. the staff said no double, but that could be their poor english communication skills.

Foarte bun”

The bungalows on the river have great views of the Mekong however the balcony gets very warm in the afternoon as the sun sets. Rooms are basic and overall not too bad. Walls and bathroom screens need a good clean and the shower water pressure is really low, but the beds are comfortable and air con is great. Rooms are cleaned most days with bottled water and soap, no coffee resupplied but there are lots of local shops nearby for stocking up on supplies if needed. Breakfast is adequate. Push bikes are available for rent everywhere and great way to explore the islands. Not a bad place to stay but quite expensive for the standard provided for Sth East Asia.

Pros: comfortable cabin, clean beds and batgroom, great aircon and good Wi-Fi. Right beside the river and near all the restaurants. Cons: the bugs but I can understand this is an island. We had a very comfortable stay. It worth paying the extra money to stay here because it had home comforts. Would recommend

Very nice place to relax and enjoy the quiet life of people on this island. There are plenty of nice restaurants, enough available grosseries, good choice of tours, atm and currency exchange available for reasonable rates, wifi available in the facility and in most restaurants and caffees, very friendly and pleasant people. The owner and staff of Pan's Guesthouse are very kind, sweet and helpful and will try to do their best in making their guest feel comfortable. If you need anything just let them know. We would go back to this and no other place on this island if we would ever come again to this place.

Great little bungalows right on the water! Well located within Don Khon central area with restaurants and shops to buy snacks at. Very relaxing and quiet. Only noise is the sound of the boats starting their engines in the morning here and there, but you will hear that anywhere in Don Khon or Don Det if you stay on the water. We spent a total of 5 nights here and wished we could have stayed longer. Also close to bike rental shops and an easy bike ride to the waterfalls and across the bridge to Don Det. For breakfast they give 4 or 5 options and you order what you want, always tasted great!

Cute bungalows with nice location”

The bungalows were spacious and clean. We didn't have many dealings with the staff but they all seemed nice enough. The location is good, on the main road near lots of bars and restaurants but still quiet. Also right on the river so good views. The beds were not very comfortable but that's about the worse thing you can say. Their breakfasts were really good.

Good location ”

It is just 3-5 min away from the pier. Its restaurant is good and also there is a lovely french restaurant in its neigborhood. We loved their soy milk yorgurt and banana jam (both home made). the GH owner arranged us a boat and a shared van to Pakse in the morning so we could arrive there around 11 (the van got more local people on the way). It was a pity that he was not there often and we were not able to get his tips often.

Room was clean. Beautiful view of the Mekong river from the front porch. No TV (a plus. Gives you an opportunity to unplug from mass media and unwind.) The guesthouse restaurant's food choices were limited. There are better options on the island.

Overall good stay- mosquitos were in the room from cleaning”

We enjoyed staying at Pan's with a hammock and view of the river for a few nights, but when we got to our room the windows had been left open and there were a good amount of mosquitos inside. They went away after the first day or so, but it made us a little uncomfortable. They have a good breakfast though, and pretty good wifi! It's a great location too.

We had our most relaxing days on our 6 month trip here! It is a good place to take a break from travelling and all the adventours you join. There's not much else to do than cycle around the island and visit the waterfalls or the dolphins. Not many people on don khone. There are some really good restaurants around and the breakfast in pan's guesthouse is very good as well :)

The place was fine. Short walk from the boat. Nice staff. Good restaurant. Little fridge in my room.. a/c... wifi! Mosquito net on the bed. All good. If I make it back to the island, I would happily stay there again

Excellent stay!”

We booked the Guesthouse but got a family room in Pan's Residence, with nice river view (close to boat landing) from balcony with hammocks etc. Perfectly OK, nice and quiet room. Good breakfast, only interrupted by monks alms giving ceremony at 6:30 in the morning ;-) We rented bikes to cross Don Khone and Don Det and actually spotted one dolphin fin!!!

Nice surroundings and good value for money ”

I stayed in a double bedroom with a view to the garden. Or to the pathway. But it was green and very cozy and you had a little terrace where you could sit outside if you wanted. Had a bungalow feeling to it. Very close to the two big restaurants in "town" and you could hire bicycles around the corner. Bike and see the waterfall. It's a little bit longer to go the north side and take a boat trip to see the dolphins, but it's totally manageable. I didn't spot any dolphins but it was a nice boat trip anyway. They say it's best to go in the afternoon around 17.00. There's not much else to do on the island, so 2 days is enough if you don't just wanna hang around and maybe visit don det aswell.

Quieter area of town”

If you're stopping in Vang Vieng, but don't want to be in the thick of things, this guesthouse is located across the airstrip from the main part of town. It's a bit quieter, with hammocks available outside. The owner is very informative.

Quiet location near to the jetty”

There was no extra bed option and we were a group of 3 so I ended up booking 2 rooms which cost us around S$85 for the gardens view room. They must have upgraded one of us as one of the room was a riverfront one! Both rooms had 2 double beds too, and could easily be shared by 3. The bathroom is a little small but the hot shower works fine. Wifi does not work in the rooms by the riverfront but when it is working (well, it is an island some distance from town so we weren't expecting much), is reachable by the gardens view room. We had hired a guide for a kayaking trip, and they booked lunch directly here, which had some of the best spring rolls! Breakfast was also a good spread. It is close to the jetty where the boat dropped us off, and we had hire a private boat back the next morning, which leaves right in front of the hotel. A decent choice.

Perfect home on Don Khone”

A great place to stay on Don Khone to relax and unwind. The small garden facing bungalows are unexpectedly big, clean and homely with air con, ceiling fan (very much needed) and mosquito net which we didn't need to use. Couldn't fault the accommodation or food over at pans restaurant. Only negative was that it was so quiet that sometimes staff weren't around for us to ask questions or book the great 1 day kayaking tour so we went down the road to the Chinese Mr happy to book instead.

Paradise by the Mekong”

I had a great experience at this hotel right by the Mekong River. The scenery was spectacular, the room was comfortable, clean and included a refrigerator, good lighting, nice bathroom, tv, fan and air conditioning. The hotel is located near a number of restaurants, the boat landing, and sites are close by so one can walk to most of them.
