THE PLACE TO STAY”

Was staying there just before the border lock down doing a visa run. Staff was invaluable with providing up to date information and assistance. Food was great, loved the bagel with egg/bacon in the morning and outstanding coffee. May not be five star facilities but there is not another place I would stay in Savannakhet. Hats off to the owner and staff for being just downright the best!

Rooms are showing their age, but the location and staff were exceptional. Short walk to the night market, welcoming staff who are very helpful. Arranged us a tuk tuk for our trips, driver was a very nice man. Would stay here again.

All about the staff”

Set in a little back street, for all the world looking rather dishevelled, there is this place. Pilgrims kitchen and Inn. Now, if you seek a luxury bedroom, look elsewhere! These are perfectly adequate, clean, and basic, but not luxury. What makes this a 5 STAR place to stay is the downstairs area, the STAFF and the FOOD. All staff there are so helpful, polite, speak English too. The food!!! Such a good range and so well cooked. What the bedrooms may lack in a little, is more than made up for by all the rest. It's a must for any person

The staff here are extremely helpful & friendly offering good information & advice on the local area The room was clean with a seating area outside to sit & relax The coffee was excellent with a varied choice & the breakfast was lovely with homemade bread although slightly over priced

I come to Savannakhet once a year and always stay here. It has everything I need for a enjoyable stay. - knowledgable and friendly English speaking staff and owner - quiet, air conditioned room with a comfortable bed. - reliable and good wifi. - great coffee and food. Already looking forward to next year :)

Great Hotel and Staff”

The room is clean and the small room is enough for two people. The airconditioner is nice and cold. The cleaning staff are happy to clean your room and do a thorough job. The hotel is very close and in walking distance to the night market. There are lovely cafes and restaurants nearby. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way for you. The selection of food and drinks is fantastic. They have bicycles and motorcycles for hire. The Internet is quite good (for Laos). I would suggest they improve their pillows.

Very friendly, helpful and informative staff - make you feel very much at home. Room was very spacious, clean and comfortable, good wifi; food and coffee were good and excellent location just few minutes walk from main sights. Unfortunately only had one night there.

Cracking little guest house, great location in town center 2 mins walk from Mekong River and nightmarket and within 5 mins drive from Thai consulate. Staff are very friendly and can speak fluent English, the food we tried was above average, specifically the Nachos, Hamburger and Indian butter chicken curry. The coffee is also very good. Highly recommend this little oasis in the otherwise sleepy Savannakhet.

A little disappointed with the room considering we paid a little more for a deluxe room. The toilet/shower was quite smelly..the room was big very basic but it was clean. You had to walk through the restaurant kitchen to get to the room so we got to know the kitchen staff quite well. We couldn't complain at all about the staff they were so helpful and attentive. The food was very good and well presented. I think we will try somewhere else when we go again but definitely would go back to eat and drink their delicious coffee in their restaurant.

Good place but a little far from the town center. Tuk tuks are almost as expensive as Pilgrim's standard room. It very close to the Night Market (tiny market) but there is reasonable food at this market. The Pilgrim Kitchen & Inn's food and coffee gets the best rating.

Not much to do in Savannakhet but its near little food market and a couple bars. One of which seems pretty popular with the younger locals. Everything including the hotel closes at like 9pm. This place closed kitchen and everything like 8-8:30 everynight except 1 night the manager or owner or somehing was there. They also called some tuk tuk which charged 40k kip for a 5min ride when i was leavingwhich pissed me off. Place has pretty good food though id stay again if i come back

The food here was delicious if you’re looking for a change from Asian food for a bit. Coffee was so good as well! The staff was always helpful and kind, called a tuk tuk whenever needed. It was the perfect get away from work while doing a visa run.
