"My boyfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights. Pros: Our room was just beside the lake, with great view and nice breeze. There are some tables and chair outside the room to relax and just enjoy the lake breeze. It's just a very basic hotel and nothing much to expect from it, given that we only paid RM225(USD55) for 2 nights. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. He helped us to get a driver for a day tour around Samosir and also assisted us to book our bus transportation back to Medan. Breakfast was good, not buffet, there's a menu to choose from, offering both western and local food. Cons: There's no fan installed in the room, it can be a little stuffy and warm at night when you close the curtains. If you open them, the mosquitoes will come in. Also, the water heater is not working at times. Both our blankets and towels had stains on them. Overall, I would say it's satisfactory. Not too good and not too bad. "

"This hotel is located in a calm place with awesome lake view. The room was like a traditional Batak house. It was very spacious and clean. The staff were nice and helpful. The complementary water is provided only on the first day irrespective of how many days we stay there. Overall a better place to stay in Samosir. "
