Location is at Genting midhill, need another 20-25 mins drive uphill to reach Genting Highland. Just that the road to the hotel is very bumpy with lots of holes, n very dark at night due to the lack of street light. Slightly further away compared with some other home stay option. But once reached de hotel, will marvel at the site of it. The hotel looks quite new n clean. Room is big. Contains hairdryer n iron with ironing board, fridge n safety deposit box. Only RM60 diff between room only and breakfast option for 3 ppl for 2 nights when booking through Agoda with promo code, so we took de breakfast option. Breakfast has a large selection of food from nasi lemak, noodle with soup, roti canai, porridge, salad, egg Station, bread, dessert, fruits n ice cream. Worth to get the breakfast option considering food in Genting is expensive. One more thing of note, the hotel will collect RM3 sustainability fee per room per night, as well as a refundable RM100 deposit (to be paid by cash). Once check out, need to wait for the hotel staff to check the room first before refunding de deposit, so may take some time for check out.
A good hotel with excellent facilities and friendly, helpful staff. The breakfast menu was varied, everything was clean and comfortable. An awesome 3 days and 2 nights stay! But not when it comes to the swimming pool. The guard in charge was rude — even when he spoke to others, he didn't communicate or address people politely. To us who were watching, his behavior came across as very rude. Same thing happened when we first arrived at the hotel. We took the wrong way to the lobby because there was no signboard indicating that Escape Hotel was there — the entrance to the lobby is shared with another hotel. We were rudely scolded by the guard on duty at that time. For us, it was too much, especially since it was our first time at the hotel. What do you expect from first-time visitors? But the stay itself was problem-free — everything was fine for the price we paid. The only thing is, the guards there need to be taught to speak and address guests more politely. thank you
I had a good stay at Scapes. Pros: The breakfast spread was good. Staff were attentive and helpful. Ample parking available. The water station for hot and cold refills was a big plus for me, especially with a baby. The rooms were clean, and the shower and toiletries were complete. The pool was okay. It is shared with the MidHill apartments, and security is strict—only residents in proper swimwear are allowed. Cons: The location is at the far end of Genting Permai. Due to nearby construction, the roads are in poor condition and not well lit. The hotel entrance is inconvenient—you have to go through the apartment security checkpoint, which can cause delays when there are other guests registering.
