I'm 100% satisfied with Shangri-La Qingdao, Facility was clean and it was big room. And Subway station and bus stop is just in front of hotel. I will definitely visit again when i come to Qingdao someday.

Great location but a little disappointed ”
Overall is good, nice lobby, nice staff (except the hostess we met when entered the lobby. She had totally ignored us and we then went directly to the counter) Something to improve: 1. We went there at before 12pm. Since it's still early, we went directly to the shopping mall Mixc. But it spent us 10 mins to find the entrance of the the hotel. Although these two buildings are just side by side. But the entrance to lobby is at another side of the building. Hope Shangri-La can improve by displaying some sign board of directions. 2. Found some hair on the quilt cover. Feel a bit disgusted. 3. Toiletries are of no-brand. A big difference as compared another same rated hotel.

Love Shangri-La!”
We were in Qingdao for a quick weekend getaway from Beijing, where we live. I would definitely recommend this hotel and all Shangri-Las for that matter. Always amazing, accommodating staff, beautiful architecture, good food and amenities. We were traveling with three small children and I'd say the only downside was that the pool wasn't very child friendly. Much more suited for lap swimming.

2 Hotels Under One Roof”
The Shangri-La in Qingtao is part old tower part new tower. I booked through Agoda, so I assume the hotel immediately puts all the OTA bookings in the old tower. The rooms were clean, fine, but dated, and didn't feel 5-Star. This half felt 4-Star. The front desk staff were very friendly and made me feel welcome. The lobby lounge staff were friendly too, but the service was very slow and not attentive. Also the lobby band was terrible. Way too loud (this is not a rock concert venue, turn it down, WAY down) and not fun. I didn't try the breakfast, but I did check out the pool and workout facility, both were very nice and well maintained. The tennis court was nice too. I tried to look at a room in the other tower but was told no rooms were available to show, which I find odd, as I went during the turnover time between check out and check in. I think they didn't want me to see what I was missing out on, staying in the old section of the hotel. For the money, new side only. Otherwise, pass.

Long Week-End”
My stay at the Shangri-La was fantastic the ambiance of the lobby when you first arrive and the staff are so helpful. The rooms was very comfortable and the whole hotel is s clean and comfortable. The location is great new shopping mall at the back of the hotel less than 3 min walk.

QingDao Beer Festival stay”
Stayed in the hotel during August Qing Dao Beer Festival time period. A little expensive but it was a great room and a great stay. Hotel is a short walk to the beach and a short taxi ride to the older section of Qing Dao. Would definately choose Shangri-La on next visit.

Good location”
I booked a non smoking room. Normally this would mean the whole of floor is non smoking. Cigarette smoke came into my non smoking room throughout the night. It seems to come in through the airconditioning. I don't think I can stay at the Shangri La again.

Best Hotel in China!”
We booked Agoda Qingdao ShangriLa as it was convenient for meetings. We were hoping to get in the new wing. The offer was made to us at the desk as does not allow you to book the new wing. Great gym & pool too. Best English speaking staff, (thank you). Qingdao should be high lighted for more than just great beer and this is one of those highlites! Will stay again next visit.

Great location in downtown, close to May 4th Square. , Also wondedul shopping centre. next door. From checking in the servic was suburb. Room was very clean, spacious and tastefully decorated. One of the best hotels in Qingdao

Superb hotel, worth every RMB”
This hotel is very elegant, large clean room overlooking the ocean slightly. Staff is wonderful and all I spoke to was fluent and understand English very well. Many automation for lights and curtains and a nice desk in room to conduct business with a fast Wi-Fi and wired internet. The breakfast is as large as a Las Vegas super Buffett with many western and oriental foods. The 6PM tea atop the top 20th floor had complimentary wine, and other spirits and a large snacks of western style cooked pork, and many other oriental tasty varieties’ that could make a dinner for even a large man from Texas happy. During my stay there was construction on the center of the road to put a new subway but still quiet at night. Request the newer wing as there are 2 hotels back to back.

it is not the Shangri la on the island in Hong Kon”
Still the best chain I have ever been to. but a little bit on the pricey side if you are used to other locations. But the great staff really make up for the shortcoming and you know you are staying at a quality establishment. saying this I booked through Agoda and was probably given the most in expensive room in the house. but seeing as it is half price through agoda well worth it. I would not recomend the hotel at a higher price though. had a small problem nothing serious. about a 1/2 hour later got 2 beers sent up courtsy of management -- now this is class act. when comparing this to the Shangra la in Hong kong does not even come close but they do there best and you are always well treated.

Nice stay, worth any penny”
Stayed two nights over a Week End during the Qingdao beer festival. Stayed in the new Valley Wing which is a bit more expensive than the old wing but we enjoyed better quality service, "sofa" check in/out, amazing breakfast, nice sea views (only city views for the old wing), and an access to the Valley Lounge with free food/drinks all day long.

Grate location and smiles”
at first great location is one of the best part of this hotel. you can visit carrfour and restaurant street and sea side in 10min by work. but just in front of the hotel. because of metro construction, little bit messy room condition was also good. there are 2 buildings, old and new, i stayed at old wings, so there was old fashioned. but it could be acceptable cuz i can access all the facilities via bridge and above of all, the price of room was relatively cheap than other shangrila chains as you can see.

The staff seems like salesperson when promoting their event, but they are friendly and nice. Just don't like that feeling. Good restaurant. Taxi in Qingdao is not so good.

Beautiful hotel”
Excellent stay again,cannot really fault this hotel except when you book in they always try to upsell you,but no big deal. Beautiful lobby,sitting area and nice ambience. we booked a king room deluxw and for i think approx $150us cannot complain. great views of city and the water,comfy beds,bath and shower. subway is being built at the front door so should be even easier to access this hotel from airport or train station.
