"when a glitch in my company's scheduled outreach program allowed us a day and a half to explore the southern part of the island, explore i did. antulang in siaton was as far south as i could get without breaking the budget, and i booked myself the cheapest room (salammat, agoda!). our city hosts were kind enough to have me driven over, but as the roads got rougher and dustier toward the end of the journey, and i found myself worrying, what'd i get myself into?? arriving at exactly noon i found myself the recipient of blinding sunlight, mirroring the smiles of the pretty receptionists and their waiters. i was shown my charming, if smallish cabana fronting flowering trees with a view of the pool. food wasn't bad either, i zeroed in on their peppered sashimi tuna (i think i had 3 plates of that during my short stay). i made a point to rise early the next day and walk down the pebbly and bouldery beach, and i must say--what a fantastic sunrise they get down there--made me wish i did yoga or something just as aesthetic to soak in all that heavenly glow! i had to leave after breakfast, and if there's a downside to this trip, it's that i had to leave so soon. but i intend to be back, with my girlfriend this time. because really, unless you're a solitary writer intent on finishing a book, the place is meant for couples."

"Quaint hidden gem. It's a family owned resort with really friendly staff. The resort's name, 'Grand View' fits the description 100%. The cottages oversee a picturesque forest and sea along with a cutely decorated pathway. It's a little tough to get there but it's worth your time ;)"
