Beautiful hotel with a nice pool”

The hotel was a bit far from Vientiane old town, yet the service and comfort of the hotel made up for this. This was our first stay in Laos, and we were warmly greeted. Our room was huge and comfortable. The pool was delightful, and the service we received was very good. Although a bit removed from the old town, the hotel offers a free shuttle service at certain times. There are s few restaurants within 5 min walking time, so not really an issue. I would highly recommend Chandara to anyone visiting Vientiane!

Charrming hotel with an exceptional staff”

I couldn't have been happier with the hotel. The staff were trained for five-star service, even though the facilities are generally in the 3-4 star range. The grounds were pleasant, my room very comfortable and I felt like it was a definite oasis from the general dust of Vientiane. If only this was a little closer to the center of town I think this would be getting 9+ points on every review!

Excellent, noise from nearby construction was annoying but not the hotels fault , the hotel is beautiful, not a budget hotel at all great breakfast, room was ok could have been better fix the shower head and some plumbing a issuesand I would could not fault.

Friendly small hotel”

The best thing about the hotel is the staff, all of whom do their utmost to make your staff pleasurable. Wealso appreciated the traditional teak buildings- old-fashioned perhaps but with modern requirements like the a/c, shower and the internet all working efficiently. The hotel's swimming pool with its loungers-in sun or shade, as preferred- was much enjoyed too. We ate once in the restaurant during our four night stay and were impressed. It was much better than what was available on the riverfront. The location is outside the city centre. Tuk-tuks and taxis are expensive- about £5 for the short journey to the riverfront each way- but the hotel has free shuttle as well. It also provides free pick-ups at the airport. We were happy there and my abiding memory is of the genuine warmth of the receptionist's farewell. Charming.

I can recommend who can speak only english”

Style is not modern, but oriental. Size is not big, but small. Hotel is clean and well managed. Kind and friendly staffs can speak some basic englis (much better than othes in this city, especially at chinese hotels most staffs can not understand or speak even a word of english) Location is somewhat far from city center, but within 5 minute from airport by taxi. They have pool and restaurant. You can park your car in front of this hotel. If you want massage; have to book before. that is 130,000 KIP for an hour. I can recommend this hotel if you can speak english only and can not speak chinese or laos language.

A bit of a disappointment”

We knew this hotel was a bit out of town when we booked but it was not the best experience. The room was okay, nothing fancy, the pictures make it look MUCH better than it really is. We were there over their New Year (in mid April) so that might have something to do with it, but the staff was not helpful. They usually have a shuttle into town, but when we went to take it, they said there was not one because the driver went home early. The breakfast was not good. Very minimal. There was one staff member who worked in the restaurant at night and in the AM that was VERY sweet and hard working. The front desk staff was not as helpful. We tried to set up a van to go to Vang Vieng and were told it was closed or they were all full. After almost paying $150 for a private driver they said, maybe you can try to just go to the bus station in the morning and try it. Luckily for us that worked out better than setting up a van through the hotel. The one nice thing is the pool area.

Just a holiday”

Although the hotel is far from town its very peaceful and the airport and city shuttles is very helpful. The owners work very hard in maintaining the property and of course the staff are forever smiling and nothing is too much trouble.

Over all the rooms are nice and big, well kept and nice bathrooms. Unfortunately the internet did not work in my room an some parts of the hotel.. Moreover breakfast was awful, poolside and louge areas are not well kept, the staff even though they have nothing to do will leave empty glasses and bottles all day. The worst part is that the hotel is surrounded by two outdoors karaoke till midnight, so very noisy and hard to sleep at night.

We stayed here overnight as we were transiting (Luang Prabang to Houysay). Worked perfectly. Free transfers from and to airport; on time on both occasions. Room spacious and clean, staff friendly and helpful, breakfast good. Can't comment on suitability of the location for sightseeing as we arrived at night and left in the morning.

Awesome hotel to relax and chill”

The location is far from attractions but near to the airport. We used tuktuk every time we need to leave the hotel. But it's affordable and worth it. Staff were super attentive and helpful. They fixed our toilet door for us, the arrange tuktuk for us, they attend to our needs every time without failed. Specially thanks to two of the male staffs there who are capable of everything including food ordering, cocktails preparing, breakfast egg cooking, cleaning the awesome pool, and so much more! We had many meals in the hotel's restaurant. They serve good food, cocktails and beer Laos! It's so relax to be in the hotel where pool was super clean and comfy. Staff changes the pool towels and clean up used stuff within very short time. When we went for a night swim, staff was so thoughtful to switch on the pool lights etc. Breakfast is buffet style with different types of eggs, some hotdogs and ham, bread and baguette, white rice and veggies, salads and yogurts, plus several types of cereals and muesli. Good enough for the price we paid. Will definitely come back again to chill!

Lovely colonial-style hotel”

This place has soul. A lot of the colonial architecture on the colonial villa has been preserved. It’s not super-modern and impeccable, but compensates by far with its colonial charm, giving you a feel for the historic Vientiane. Facilities are also good with a nice big pool and private verandas. Friendly and helpful staff.

Excellent Service”

The staff were very accommodating and made my short stay there great. They went out of their way to be helpful. The only thing I would recommend to the hotel is to make a bigger sign on the main road as my tuk tuk driver had a very hard time finding them at night.

Restaurant excellent. Cocktails two for price of one and wine very nice. Staff fantastic especially the waiter in the dining room. Loved the way he shook the cocktail maker. Steep steps up to dining area. Stall very obliging. Great value for money. Had to walk a small distance to main road but tuk tuks and taxis come to hotel. Excellent value for money. Definitely recommend staying here.

Beautiful hotel!”

Really enjoyed my stay here. Gorgeous hotel, incredibly friendly staff, good food, the works. The only thing to be aware of is that it's about a mile from downtown and not much in the area in terms of markets or restaurants. But, they have bike rentals and that worked for me just fine. I'd definitely recommend this place to friends and family.

Nice and friendly staff, good service, do try the hotel restaurant it was excellent food and excellent service. I little away from town, but ok with shuttle service and tuc tuc 40.000 from city center. Friendly city and friendly people.

very pleasant well run little hotel with nice pool. The staff were all delightful and friendly. Excellent breakfast. We had one evening meal, food very good but rather small portions. A 40 minute walk from centre, but free shuttle service during day time. Highly recommended.

Lovely Stay”

We had a wonderful stay in Chandara Boutique Hotel. Staff is enchanting, we got a lovely big apartment, very clean. Nice pool and ambience, we felt really cared. This hotel is a little oasis in Vientiane, you feel like in a different world. You need a little walk to the city center and Mekong Riverside.

A Quiet hidden Jewel”

Chandara Boutique Hotel is a beautiful, family-run hotel located in Ka Nham Village. It is about 2km from Vientiane centre but easy to get to on foot, bike or local taxi. The staff are all warm and friendly and I have been made to feel very welcome by them all. I have stayed for one month, as I now work in Vientiane, and have decided to stay for at least another six months. There is a daily shuttle bus to the town centre runnuing 4 times daily provided by the hotel at no charge. The food is very cheap, and the pool and spa facilities are excellent. Don't look any furhter, this IS the place to stay.
