I stayed here for another 2 nights before I ended my trip in Taiwan. I came back because after staying in the busy streets of Ximinding, then this hostel felt like I am at home. Relaxing park nearby, local delights if you will only take a walk further down or up the street. Very close to Shilin Night Market, Chiang Kai Memorial and if you are heading to Taipei 101 or Tamsui, then no need to change the MRT line. Dont miss the chance to stay here and simply relax at the top floor.

Fabulous Taiwan”

My first time in Taiwan and definitely would plan my next trip but this time, winter time. Hostel location is very close to Yuanshan station. There is nearby park that you can sit. Very close to Confucius Temple & Dalongdong Bao’an Temple. Hostel is providing free breakfast, shampoo and body wash. Staffs were all nice and accommodating. Kudos to the management. I just only wish Agoda have an option to attach a picture.

They provide simple toast breakfast with a nice cup of coffee.The rooftop is a additional bonus point to hangout or jus to have some midnight snack.The location is definitely great, nearby the yuensan mrt station and close to the yuensan bus station.Love the location. Overall nice stay though.

Great hostel for its price!”

I love hostels that provide a big window, so the sun can shine through the room at morning. When I came to check in at 4 PM, I asked the receptionist woman to provide me with bed that located near the window and I am very satisfied with it! I will book again next time if I am going to have a trip near Shilin / Jiantan / Yuanshan station. Worth and recommend to stay!

Affordable. Location is very close to Red Line Yuanshan MRT station. Very Clean, the bathrooms and toilets are very good. They speak good English compared to other Taiwanese, but having google translate helps a lot (terminology differences from country to country, etc.). They are very accommodating! It was raining that time when I have to take my city tour and the staff offered me their umbrella, you could also ask for help to verify attraction availability they will search it happily for you. I forgot his name, I'm sorry, but I want to praise the guy staff on duty Nov 19, 2018 at around 10:00PM, Im already at the hotel when I found out that I ran out of NTD, the next day I will depart very early for my Yehliu-Jiufen-Shifen Tour. My brain is non-functional that time, because I'm tired, he helped me looked for possible foreign exchange nearby and suggested to go to the nearest airport (Songshan airport) where it's open 24/7. Thank you so much!

Great hostel with comfy beds and privacy curtains. Nice clean bathrooms. Washing machine and communal area on the roof. Nice place to relax. Simple breakfast of toast/ spreads and coffee. The hostel is not right in the middle of the city but there is station just down the road.

Pros: great location near yuanshan mrt exit 1, also near a weekend farmers market, an ice skating rink, bars, and a club! approachable and nice staff! clean beds and toilet! nice rooftop view. multiple outlet ports which id great if you have to charge multiple devices at once! cons: free breakfast would be better with eggs and be served on the rooftop!

I forgot to say there is no elevator so U gotta carry all ur baggages by urself. And there is only one washing machine n cloth dryer on the rooftop. So if ur shoes were drenched I gotta say good luck...

Get out of the south gate of Yuanshan Station and go straight, u will see it on the right side right at the first crossing. The bf is simple but enough. Survice is good. And u can also have a rest on the rooftop. The view there is good and there is a living room with strong AC and soft couch. Lv thr. I will definitely be back hr for my next stay.

One of the best hostels I've been to”

What I liked: the industrial + nostalgic aesthetic, nice view from the rooftop, fast wifi, clean rooms and bathrooms, comfy bed, big locker with a security lock, hotdog bun breakfast, helpful staff, reasonable rates, and the lovely neighbourhood. It's a perfect area to be in if you are looking for somewhere quieter yet central enough. Potential concerns: No elevator. And the hostel is still pretty new so there weren't many occupants during my stay, but I'd think that having 2 toilet & shower cubicles per floor may not be enough if it's a full house. Plus, the sink is rather narrow. I was also expecting the dorm to be bright and airy like in the photos but it wasn't quite so. Perhaps the private rooms are. All in all I would definitely recommend this hostel!

A great place to stay if you are travelling alone or with a couple of friends with you”

A great place to stay. I chose this place because it is very near the Taiwan Expo where the Fancy Frontier (Anime, cosplay and game event) took place this Feb. 16-17. Also it is very near Yuanshan mrt station if you want to visit nearby places in Taipei. Shilin Night market is just a station away (Jiantan station) from Yuanshan station. Convenience stores and restaurants are also nearby. They'll leave your keys in the mailbox if you are checking in past the reception hour. The room is quiet and clean. I love their locker, it is spacious enough to store things I brought along with me. Bathroom is shared and clean. The staff are really nice and can be approached easily for assistance. They can speak and understand English so no worries. And after checking out, you may leave your luggage if you still plan to go to other places or your flight is on evening. You can claim your luggage until 10pm only. I'll definitely stay here again the next time I attend Taiwan Fancy Frontier event.

Convenient and strategic place”

The place was great. Its very near the train station so you can optimized your stay in the stay. The facility was very clean proper and the staff were very verse in English language. They also offer affiliate tours that is why where we were to go the other hard to reach destination. Just dont expect a heavy breakfast as they dont serve rice or noodles. However, the breakfast offered to us were very good specially the spread. They only served variety of bread with 4 types of spreads for you to choose from. The coffee was great as well. I love that they have areas for laundry also. Lastly, best part of my stay was their rooftop smoking area. You can basically have the best view of the area and the train station. I would definitely book again on this hostel when go back to Taipei.

Forget about sleeping”

If you just want a bed and do not care for sleep, this is the place for you. I liked their rooftop terrace and lounge at first, when I arrived. That same night, I hated the dormitory room they decided to assign for me. They were not full at all. The 2nd floor dormitory they assigned is right at the corner top of their noisy bar/restaurant. It was too loud and noisy at night, which was possible to hear from the room. The dormitory was extremely uncomfortable and impossible to sleep. The bright lights are never turned off and there is no switch, so they were on ALL NIGHT long. The air from the AC feels horrible if you are on the upper bed. More importantly, due to the short distance from the very busy intersection on this 2nd floor dorm room made it impossible to sleep. Terribly noisy scooters and cars never stopped passing by.. Even if I fell asleep they kept waking me up as they are literally within hand's reach, only a few meters away from the window.
