Good value considering the immediate competition ”
This is one of the best offerings in the city it seems, although that’s not saying very much considering that there are far better offerings and better deals in neighboring Taichung City just across the river. For what it’s worth, this building looks dated from at least two or three decades back, although it’s been fairly well-maintained and cleanliness is above average. Still, the rooms are close enough for a brief night’s stay and there is a surprising number of chic restaurants in the near vicinity. For those without a vehicle, it is far beyond walking distance from the main transportation and shopping hubs. However, like many small cities in Taiwan, there’s not much of a nightlife except for what appears to be Changhua’s largest night market, which is about a 5-min. drive or a 15-min. walk from the hotel. As well, the hotel offers ample free parking in a lot across the street. The beds and sheets were seemingly clean and the basic rooms even had a bathtub, although as of late, all of the usual disposable amenities that are usually provided are now only available upon request. Air-conditioning and water pressure in the shower is very good and quiet, but sound isolation was only about average. The complementary breakfast was also decent enough but bland, slightly below average, and clearly caters to only local taste buds. All in all, if you absolutely must stay in this city overnight, there isn’t really a whole lot of other competition especially in this price range.

This place is quite old, and the rooms will feel that way, but they are still very clean. Some of the more modern furnishings are lacking, like being able to turn off lights from your bed, and there's not a lot of space in the room other than the bed and desk. But the staff were very friendly - they let us take our bikes into the room. But no self-service laundry (the laundromat right next to the hotel is disgusting, don't use it), and the breakfast was just OK (next time I would just buy something from the street stalls). I have stayed at better places in Taiwan for this price, so I couldn't give it 5-stars, but it is a very decent no frills place, and you can sleep comfortably.

A very pleasnt and comfortable stay. Room is big and the bed is just nice, not too hard. Location is good. Staffs are friendly and polite.
