Good hotel in oudomxay ”

Good place to stay in oudomxay. Near the south bus station (that goes to Vietnam). Largeeeee bed, great view, not much to chose in breakfast but it's almost impossible to find a occidental breakfast anywhere in oudomxay. I overall recommend this hotel.

Decent Brekky for Laos”

As the title says, the breakfast was quite nice by Lao standards. They have rice porridge, steamed rice, a stir fried meat dish and fried eggs. The room is a normal 3 star room although the beds are massive. Never seen a bigger bed in a hotel. Worth the price for the stay.

Good: large room, huge (I repeat HUGE!) but a little hard bed. Ok TV, wifi, A/C, large! window, free (not bad!) breakfast. Good location. Bad: Nothing.

Worlds hardest bed and not helpful staff”

Never slept on a harder bed, felt like we were sleeping on wood. Very uncomfortable. The staff weren’t helpful when we had questions. The restaurant that is connected with the hotel gave us funny looks when we went for dinner and had no English menus. Nothing to see or do in this town and seemed like we were the only foreigners

Bad service,, untrained,,dirty,,rude staffs and stay away from this hotel ”

First we got to counter and one of the receiptionist asked to hold my passport because of the room’s key and will return after the check out.. I booked queens size bad but we got two single bed push together (( Note nothing like in the pictures )) they claiming that room I booked was sold to someone else..when we got to the room the room was smell very bad and the bed sheet very very very dirty !!! Look at it has been changed for years !! Bathroom was dirty and smell !! Hot water only work for few minutes Please stay away from this hotel if you do not want experience very bad service and dirty !!! Very poor service very dirty hotel !!

Avoid If Possible”

The hotel is in a good location with nice views but could use srome improvements. The hotel smelled of cigarette smoke or body odor. There are "No Smoking" signs everywhere but the guests do not comply. It would be tolerable if they could manage the smoking in the hallways. The towels are so old they look like rags. The room and showers are nice and there is hot water. The buffet breakfast was great and the staff was fantastic.

Empty feeling, reasonable value for money ”

The staff had limited English, but were professional enough. The place had a cavernous feeling. 10 minute walk to the Main Street and domestic bus station. Breakfast was okay with Asian selection. Overall the place had minimal comfort and no homey touch. I would find a different place to stay if given the option.

Avoid. Not just the hotel. The town itself”

We just stopped there from Huayxai to Nong Khiaw. Stop elsewhere if you can. The town is ugly. Nothing to do and nowhere to eat. We walked into restaurants and were told that had no food. The hotel is just 5 min walk from station where we arrived and tuktuk drivers scammed us and charged us 20000kip for 1 min ride. But then the buses for NK were departing from another bus station 6km away(bus to Nogn Khiaw is at 10am fyi). WiFi doesn't work. Staff speak no English whatsoever. The restaurant is ok but have limited menu and everything is in Lao so you don't know what to order because the pictures are very small. There is a big disco/club just behind the building with extremely loud music and people shouting until midnight. The worst stay ever.

Value for money hotel in Muang Xai”

The hotel is close to Muang Xai airport. The double bed in my room is huge and it could be enough for 3-4 people! It has a big space for parking and a restaurant beyond the hotel. Staff do not speak much English.

Just basic for a one night stay”

This was used for a one night stop over before my next town. The front check in spoke no English and did not have my reservation. I produced a copy to settle this matter. At check out they wanted to charge me for the room which I had prepaid for with Agoda. The room is basic and had the hardest mattress you will ever try to sleep on. The wifi worked ok and the shower was hot. The location is good only if you are getting off at the in town bus station. The main bus station is another 6 kilometers to the south for buses to major cities. The breakfast had some eggs, tea and bread but no juice and was minimal. The hotel restaurant has only pictures of food entrees but no descriptions and is difficult to order from.
