It had AC, hot water and extra towels. Great room. We didnt mind it dint have window. We knew what we booked. For this price it is amazing. Breakfast was great
Best hotel experience in Asia ”
We have been traveling around Southeast Asia for nearly 5 months, and Utey Hotel is by far the best hotel we’ve booked!!! Pros: - The rooms are absolutely beautiful, spacious, and immaculately clean. Rooms are upkept as often as you need. All amenities are provided (towels, toiletries, hair dryer). The air conditioning works perfectly. - The location is great and feels very safe. There is a shop next door as well. - The staff are extremely friendly, generous, and hospitable. Over our 12 day stay, the receptionists, housekeepers, and manager became like family to us. They always greeted us with a smile, were very quick to assist, and even decorated our room for my birthday… WOW. They just blew us away with their incredible customer service. Also, they were very accommodating when we needed to extend our stay… everyone went above and beyond to make our time in Cambodia perfect. Our time in Siem Reap was made complete because we stayed at Utey. The staff truly made it a magical experience, and we are just so grateful we booked here. I 10000% recommend! Huge thanks to Sna, Nita, Sophearak, and Seeha… the housekeepers… our Utey Family!! I hope we can visit again 💛
Room S103 ”
First I will say we thought the room was clean and tidy with a comfortable bed and nice sheets, comforter and pillows. The staff were very kind and helpful although only a few had a good handle on English but even if they didn’t they still made every attempt to understand. We only have a small complaint. The room S103 we had you needed to walk through through the kraken bar to get to. It was right over a noisy bar although the bar did close at a reasonable hour I believe 11PM/12AM. Many people use the restrooms right near where he door to S103 and it’s a little uncomfortably cramped at times getting into the room when lots of kraken customers are milling about there. The closeness of plugs to the bed in S103 is lacking. The bathroom is also cramped in that particular room. I am 6 feet 2 inches and realize for most people it might not be an issue but for me it was a little cramped and uncomfortable in there. I want people to have a better idea of what they are signing up for when they get that particular room. I found the reviews when I looked and the pictures in the adverts on agoda did not explain we would be so close (upstairs from a bar). Thank you for doing your best to make our stay a good one. The WiFi was quite unreliable at times. Too. I wouldn’t suggest relying on the WiFi to stream video or rely on their wifi for work related remote work. 50% of the time it was fine the other times it was dropping packets and disconnecting randomly.

Capsules are very roomy and have AC, lights, plugs for electrical. Lockers are very big so you can fit your whole backpack! Breakfast was fast and good. I would stay again and recommend, but here are a few things to note. Hooks in the capsule would be a nice feature Hostel did not do laundry or rent bikes, and didn’t have a lot of recommendations so you need to find yourself. Lots of stairs to climb. Rooms up to the 5th floor so if you have a heavy bag, that will take some time. The second building is next door. I found the bathrooms there to I’m much better condition than the bathrooms in the main building which had some draining problems. We ran out of toilet paper in 3 bathrooms and I had to ask more times to get more. Which they gladly did, but the cleaners didn’t Check for it so you need to be prepared to ask. On the fifth floor, I had some dried mangos in my pack that was in the locker. The next day it was covered with ants. I think a lot of travelers have snacks and ants didn’t cross my mind that high up. My fault for having the food, but keep everything sealed very well. They should spray as well. I’d still stay again for the price, capsule, and location.
A big good surprise”
I went with my 25 years old daughter and it was a good surprise. We weren’t expecting a big thing, but in the end it was really clean space with a good bed, a looot of amenities and a satisfying breakfast for the price (you can choose a dish between 3 type of eggs). The least positive point was being literally on the top of a bar (you need to enter inside the bar and go upstairs to the bedrooms) but the windows are almost sound proof (and the music stops at midnight). The staff were incredibly nice with us (a big thank you to Huong that helped us with calling a taxi at 5am when we could find one to go to the airport). We also need to thank to the boys that helped us without blink with all the luggage. Thank you, we will recommend you!
