Had a fairly decent stay here, the staff were big on cleanliness and did their best to help. For some English wasn't a strength but they were still very kind. Good place to meet other travellers particularly from Asia. Only had a couple of minor complaints: because I had booked each of my nights separately one of the staff accidentally cleared the stuff from my bed when I was out. They left a note of apology and replaced almost everything (plus a free luggage tag - which I didn't need) except my sleeping mask :'( when I asked about it they left another note saying they couldn't find it and were sorry. This time they left two little snickers bars which I didn't want (as I'm vegan). The other thing is that the shower temperature was very sensitive. However, very close to Guangzhou Rd street market and Longshan, so it was OK.

Nice place situated close to longshan temple and mrt, bit more local than main station zone. Rooms are big, Aircon works really well and the commun area is great with sofas and a big table. Very clean. some of the receptionist don't speak English, but we could make us understood to each other

Tidy cozy hostel near Banga”

Hostel is tidy and cozy with a lot of Taiwanised design details, nice and functional common area, loads toilets and showers. Near the very old style but very big nightmarket and elegant Longshan temple, good location. Staff super friendly.

Lovely place in Taipei”

A very lovely hostel, have to take MRT to Taipei main station due to go to another place but its doesn't matter because MRT system is very modern and flexible. The operating was very convenient and flexible for customer and we have great time here.

Room type different than my booking (lower grade)”

The room I got was different than I booked at Agoda. I booked Sunlight Double Room, but I got a standard room without window. According to counter, their record was standard room. Thus, I am not sure is it Agoda's problem ??

Clean, nice staff, accommodating”

I commend Kali Inn for being tidy. Although this was our first to avail of guesthouse with separate bathroom, we were not disappointed because the common bathrooms were clean and safe. The common areas (living room, dining room and reading room) are all clean and cozy. The staff is amazing! They accommodated all our request. They allowed us to sleep in the couch after check-in while waiting for our flight back home. The location is two or three blocks away from Longshan Temple and MRT station. It's beside 711 that's why you can grab anything there, anytime. It's also walking distance from Bangka Market and Night Market. We definitely recommend this place.

Worth staying!”

It's my second visit to Kali and my experience was better than the previous. The common space is big enough for quite a number travelers to sit down and chat with each other, one part which I enjoy the most. Kali is relatively easy to locate, about 5 minutes walk from the MRT. The place is clean and comfortable, and the staffs are very friendly, always ready to answer any questions you may have. Will definitely come back again!

Traveled alone for a few days in Taepi. Booked last minute for the holidays. Feared for the price it would be too good to be true. Had a wonderful time and the staff was friendly, the environment was super clean and the overall stay was comfortable. Would recommend!

Impressive hostel in Taipei”

As a backpacker who have traveled to many countries, Kali Inn is one of the best hostel I ever checked in. The place is clean, even the bathrooms are shared they are always clean. Plus it is located near Luangshan Temple MRT station just about 10 minute walk and closed to 7-11 which is very convenience. The receptionist is nice, he's dedicate to give service to guests that he tried to stand by at the hostel at the time we need his hands.

Clean. Tiny, tiny room for the double bed private. It was adequate. Shared bathrooms and showers. They had a great staff who were extremely friendly, kind, and helpful. They had a small washer with lots of hangers to borrow. To dry clothes we would hang them in an outdoor cage room. They had a water filter machine. The placement was is a 5 min walk to the mrt. Small night market. Ximen was close with a nice selection of shopping, movie theaters, and food. I would walk to or from Ximen everyday.

Very familiar and a good price performance ratio”

I really enjoyed my stay in Kali Inn. The staff tried always its best to do anything for you. The hostel is located in the oldest part of the city, the metro station and the Longshan Temple (sry if I write it wrong) are just 5min far away. In the free breakfast is included: white toast, chocolate cream, butter and peanut butter. Hot and Cold water always available. Washing machine is provided for 30 TWD inklusive washing powder. Shower gel and shampoo is available (no extra costs) You need no adapter for charging your devices. They have multifunctional jacks. Things I didn't like or could be improved were: no regulation of warm water in the shower - only hot or cold; foreign hairs around my bed; the entrance signboard of the hostel is quite small and invisible - you really have to look when you arrive.

Better than I had expected ”

This hotel is located near a MRT station, a famous temple and a night market. Therefore, the location is nearly perfect. The room I stayed in was tidy, clean and spacious. So, I could feel at home in the room. The staff I met was friendly and very kind. As I didn't know how to go to an airport and asked him that, he kindly told me the best way and called a taxi for me.

It is near to two mrt, one is nearer to Ximending another is Long Shan Temple which only takes 5-10 mins walk. For me the bathroom it is not that clean & messy. I only stay one night so overall is still ok.

Nice for people who comes to tralvel alone and meet new friends. From here you can walk to Ximending and MRT Longshan temple. Downstair there is 7-11.
