One of the staff who has taken care of my booking since the day that I booked and having email exchanges way before my arrival on some jaccuzzi attire requirements and finally greeting us when we arrive upon check in. Very detailed explanation of the hotel facilities and allowing us to view the rooms as we have 4 pax to choose the best view! What more to ask for? Awesome service!

Quiet Place with Nice Individual Spa Facility”

The individual spa room is nice. Quiet environment till there is group of tourists joining in enjoying themselves in the restaurant then in the public pool area. We tried both the dinner in hotel restaurant and the eatery opposite hotel during our stay. Not really fantastic on the food especially the eatery opposite the hotel as the food is not fresh.

A RARE TREAT -  TWO RESORTS IN ONE”

Our room comes with a beautiful polished wooden floor. It was large and big enough for two king-sized beds! We loved their exclusive jacuzzi cabins with powerful water jets spewing out hotspring water.  As hotel guests,  we get to use the cabin for free for 60 mins each day based on per night of stay.  The 18 jacuzzi cabins are located on the 9th floor and the numbers are sufficient for their guests. To use the cabin we only had to make a one-off reservation,  detailing when we want to use the cabin,  with the front desk. An enjoyable hotspring bath in privacy and in one's birthday suit! Beside the hotel,  accessible via the hotel LOBBY,  are six open air hot &  cold springs + sauna + suntanning facilities. Bring along your swimming costumes to enjoy the outdoor facilities. We changed into our swimming costumes only when you reached the top floor as it was chilly. Breakfast was forgettable but dinner was DELICIOUS.  We had a six-course dinner @ Hakka Restaurant on 3rd Floor @ TWD300 per head.  Offerings include duck,  meat,  vegetables,  prawn,  soup &  fruit platter. Their FOC plum wine made in-house was really nice.  We bought a bottle for TWD300 to drink at next destination!   Allen,  a restaurant staff,  speaks English  &  offers very good customer service. A must visit as a day visitor is Tai'an Tangyue Resort.  It is to the right of King's Resort Spa,  up an inclined road. We were brought to the hotspring baths in a golf cart!  We went there as day visitors @ TWD 350 per person (brochure TWD 450 per adult) from 0700 to 2300 hours.  The hotspring bath area offers unlimited ginger drink + water + lockers + bathing facilities. When using the open air hot springs + sauna,  we wore our swimming costumes. There are five hot &  cold spring pools with water jets to massage various parts of the body.  There are also round ceramic tubs, 3 feet wide and 2 feet deep,  big enough for a couple to enjoy a bath together. Unlikely to stay in this hotel again as it has very deserted feel within premises. we did not see any other guests in lobby throughout our whole stay. We only saw another family during breakfast. The Onsen pools are disappointing (almost like heated swimming pools). Does not have the onsen feel (benchmarked to the onsen in onsen hotel in Noboribetsu in Hokkaido). Though, I must say that the staff are very helpful and friendly.

There was no air con at night, had tea at the cafe in the lobby under no air con... we ended up having about 10 mosquito bites each. We had to jump around while having tea, literally! no wifi but there was indoor parking

It was an okay hotel. Nothing fancy. Good breakfast. The bed was soft. The night we were there the outdoor hot pools were closed for cleaning. We also had a hard time getting the room to cool down.

Perfect spa retreat ”

The hotel is located in a fantastic setting, commanding amazing views over the green hills and mountains, which you can enjoy from either the comfort of your room or any of the spa facilities on the premises. We've used both public spa and private rooftop jacuzzi and it was just perfect after a few days of exciting but tiresome exploration of Taiwan. The Chinese set menu dinner in the hotel restaurant was delicious. A very nice gentleman who took our pictures on the rooftop turned out to be the hotel owner, who later was so kind to invite us for a delicious set menu Chinese dinner:-) Our planned taxi option failed, so the next day the hotel arranged a taxi to take us to the Miaoli THSR station A very positive experience and we only wish we had more time to spend there!
