Great value for money! Clean bedsheets, nice mattress, clean bathroom, good water pressure in the shower, WiFi works great. The only downside was that I could hear some street noise at night from motorcycles passing by. There are no bars nearby so overall it's very quiet at night. Highly recommend this hotel.

just ask a room from the 4th floor to avoid a close view on the neighbor building. Located near night market and Vientiane night life. Nice room and comfortable bed; Breakfast on top hotel, at 7 th with overlooking view to city.

Quaint and functional.”

I always stay here. Probably 20+ times. For less than $50USD a night it has more than adequate facilities. Vientiane is becoming overpriced. The Tuk Tuk mafia pull out price lists now when you want a ride. It used to be you could barter your fare before you left. Now they reach for a price list a jewellery shop would be proud of. Fares are quadruple what they are in Bangkok and you get an air conditioned vehicle instead of some clapped out tricycle with a burning clutch and deformed wheels that make your ride like a broncing bull.

This hotel is located at the center of the city. So, I could see the Mekong river from the roof top, in which I took a breakfast. And, I enjoyed the room because it was on the corner of the hotel with sunshine. There're many good restaurants around there.

Peaceful Place near Namphu”

This is the second time of my stay at this hotel. The room was nice and clean; however, there were a lot of mosquitoes leaping from the gap of the door and the floor. The hotel did provide me the mossy electric repellent. The room was beautifully decorated with Asian Style overlooking Hai Soke Temple. The breakfast was big enough to fulfill your hungry tummy. It is convenient to go anywhere around, such as, Mea Khong river, some good restaurants, and supermarket (Ideal Supermarket).

Overnight Stay”

The location was superb if you're looking to roam around the city in a limited time. It was near the night market, some temples, and Patuxay. It just around the corner of National Cultural Hall where the bus going to Vang Vieng picks up passenger. Also just 10-15mins away from the International Aiport via Tuktuk.

Perfect place for a first stay in Vientiane”

Checked in apprehensively after a few poor reviews on Agoda. After the first 24 hours, none of the negative comments seemed to be relevant (sometimes wonder if I live on the same planet as some people here). I spend half my life staying in hotel as a business traveller and even if I focus hard I cannot really think of a single complaint about this hotel. As far as compliments go, the beds are some of the most comfortable I have slept in!

Fantastic hotel with a great breakfast”

We really enjoyed this hotel. After spending a lot of nights in very cheap accommodations, it was nice to have a real shower and an in room safe!! The breakfast was amazing and having that included was one of the best extras you can ask for. The location was really good but it can be slightly noisy in the evenings as all the dogs run around the alley that the hotel is situated in. Aside from that, it was great.

Great option in the heart of the city”

As regular visitors to Vientiane and having stayed in numerous hotels, the Manorom would probably be the best one we have stayed at. There are plenty of cheaper places of pretty average quality around but this hotel gets you away from the backpackers who have had one too many BeerLao without paying the prices of the top end hotels. The hotel is located in the second block back from the river which makes it quieter (except for the dogs of Vientiane which roam all of the city!). It is howver in a lively area with lots of restaurants and it is still only 5 minutes to the riverfront. The building is 7 storeys tall making it one of the highest in the city but its traditional wood design makes it look quite charming. We had a room on the 5th floor with a nice view that actually gave us river glimpses. The room itself has lots of wood and is a good size. The bed was firm but comfortable, the Wifi worked well and the in room safe was handy. The bathroom is western style which is unusual for Vientiane. The room was cleaned well each day. Breakfast was included and taken in the spectacular 7th floor with 360 degree views of the city. It was basically the ssame thing each day - rice soup, choice of eggs and a plate of fruit - but is was certainly a good way to start the day. This is a great hotel and we will most likely stay here again next trip.

good holidays in vientiane”

I like very much my breakfast in the roof, but i tried to speak in french and english and night staff didnt understand me. i tried to change my room , because it was in the seventh floor, and dinner room was on, so, a little bit noisy when people moved fornitures. Beautiful hotel in good location

Serves the need of a traveler”

This little hotel has very comfortable beds, clean sheets and good internet connections. It is centrally located in Vientiane city center, so that makes logistics very convenient. Breakfast was excellent with generous portions. Staff was friendly and helpful. It delivers what it promises and is generally a great value hotel.

Serenity is here”

Everything is fine. We got a good sleep and the area around is quiet if compare with the others in VTE city center. There're not so many hotel buildings getting close to us so we don't feel frustrated unlike the hotel around Man Phu; we still had a view of Hai Soke temple. The staff are helpful and enthusiasm to offer what we want, eg. TAXI hire, map or even an umbrella during the rainy evening.

Great location. Importantly was clean, and the beds were comfortable. The only downside was that there was a planned powercut for half a day that they did not inform guests about so we could not shower/have aircon/wifi etc...a little communication would have gone a long way!

Take the bad reviews with a pinch of salt ”

After reading some of the reviews for this place, I wasn't holding out much hope. But I have to say, I was extremely pleasantly surprised! Firstly we had transport issues which meant arriving a day late, first thing in the morning. Staff were so helpful and understanding and gave us our rooms straight away and even allowed us to have breakfast. The rooms were a good size as was the bathroom. There was airconditioning and a small balcony too. I had an issue with the shower being cold but after telling staff it was fixed within 30 minutes. The same fast service when the light bulb blew in the bathroom. There was no hassle and staff were extremely efficient in dealing with the small problems. I'm not sure why there have been negative reviews about the breakfast? I found there was a great deal of choice between cooked and continental style buffet and all very tasty. Great hotel, would definitely recommend it and visit again

Old room in no good condition, Service quite bad, I book double bed for 2 nights, after 1st night, I came back to the room and the room was not cleaned, so they requested me to change to twin-beds room because no maid in afternoon, Wifi is bad

Good choice”

It's a pretty businesslike hotel, and it was quiet when I was there. Though at times it became noisy because of a nearby construction project -- but that was only occasional and not didn't cause much disturbance. The rooms are well-equipped and lack nothing. I had occasional problems with the wifi connection in my in room, and it was very bad in the breakfast room (no routers on that floor, only on the one below it).

Loud Noise from Construction nest door from 6 am sharp daily, including Sunday”

Hotel should prewarn all guests that all rooms facing its Neighbour who is constructing another hotel (which is more than half of total rooms) will have very loud noise pollution from 6 am daily, including Sundays. The rooms are not sound proof and the noises get extremely loud. You can even hear the workers talking and laughing throughout the day. Unless you wake up early, you should avoid this hotel until hotel next door is completed.

Central location, okay place”

The hotel is okay but could be better with a little effort. The room was dusty but so was the rest of the city. When we checked in, we were given a room with a view of a building wall about a metre away so went back down & asked for another room with success, a room higher up with a view of the city. The room had large windows, great natural light. There was a king bed, A/C, fridge, TV, soap/shampoo & towels. There was a shower but one of the doors had a broken holder so the door did not close entirely & threatened to fall off. There is a mini balcony off the room, a smoking balcony but also another shared balcony at the end of the hallway which was nice. Breakfast (buffet or off a limited menu) was provided on the top floor which had a great view of the surrounding area. Coffee, juice & fruit was provided with both. Wifi worked well in the lobby but was sporadic in the room. The night market is only about a 10 minute walk away & many restaurants nearby. The front staff had adequate English & was helpful. Overall, an okay hotel & could stay there again if had too as there was nothing critically wrong with it.

Cleaning lady shakedown”

Made a small stain the size of a quarter on the bedspread, cleaning lady wanted a tip to clean it. I gave her 20,000 Kip which she was not happy with and demanded 100,000 Kip.I told her I thought this is not how hotels do business and that I will settle with the front counter and she said they will charge me full price for new comforter.
