Lovely but can be loud”

This was a lovely and relaxing place to stay for a night; the facilities, room, and hot spring area were all wonderful. That said, it's a bit far out of the main town (although you can walk it in 10-15 minutes, if you're okay with being on the side of the road), and the walls are pretty thin. The family next to me had a couple young kids and I could hear them all night. Fortunately, I'm a pretty heavy sleeper.

First time at this place,”

We have visited Wulai several times over the years. This place is very convenient. Bus stop very close. Easy walk to town. Hot spring is extensive. Breakfast was good. Diner was really fine. The Landis chain really knows how to do it right!

Great hotspring experiece”

Overall the hotel was great, especially the facilities and dining experience. However, the room is a bit run down. My bathroom celling was leaking water due to the moisture front the hot bath. Need maintenance.

Great Rooms”

We had a room with a hot springs tub on the balcony with a view of the mountains (and also the river if you were standing up in the tub). The staff were very good here and the only issue was that we almost never got up early enough to take advantage of the included breakfast. The bus stop in very close and its easy enough to walk into town from here.

Good place”

Overall loved it. Hated that security moved my bike from parking spot recommended themselves to somewhere under the pipes. It looked like trash when I picked it up. Hope hotel will take measures till then I do not want to stay there worrying of my whatever vehicle I come on.

Relaxing hotel”

I do enjoy the hot spring inside and outside the room, we can enjoy the complimentary fruit prepared by the hotel at the same time. The bedding is comfortable and clean, very roomy. Dining room is outside the main building with shelter, not good for heavy raining. There is bus stop on the opposite side near the hotel to Taipei, very convenience. But the hotel is located quite a distance from the lao street (main street), it is difficult to catch bus or taxi to the hotel. We can only walk in dark, not too safe.

Nice accomodation for a relaxing wulai trip.”

The resort is 15 to 20mins walk to the old street. With a comfortable stay and free mini bar. The room we booked was the river view. Due to the recent typhoon, many areas in wulai is still close, thus we didnt have a chance to hike and a confortable ambiemce was impt to us.

Accommodation includes dinner and breakfast. Food and service were good. Spacious and comfortable room with clean hot bath facilities. We took a bus from Taipei and it stop just opposite the bus stop.

away from the tourist hot spring place”

Its a modern resort built in the rest of a rather old town. Love the built in hot spring bath since I'm travelling with a toddler. The staffs are very helpful. But the hotel is so quiet without a lobby bellboy and lobby is very dark at night.

Very nice hot spring hotel”

All staffs in hotel we encountered are very friendly, the hotel is not big due to location, but is a 5 star hotel with comfortable room including big hot spring tub; great view and strongly recommended to visit their public hot spring area.

New Hot Spring experience”

I had one of the best experiences in Taiwan becuase of the hotspring. This hotel has public pool hot spring bath. There is a segregation for men and female though. Spent an entire afternoon soaking in them. No clothes are allowed. You can see the moutaineous view from these pools. Very scenic. The room is big and spcious with comfortable bed. Had a very good sleep at night becuase of the quietness and the hot sping soaks helps also! As Wulai is in the moutain areas, there are much greenery and less crowd in the area. Nearest tourist centres can be reached by bus or taxi. Breakfast is provided. Decent spread of serving of dishes. One of my most relaxing stay indeed.

Relaxing Stay”

we booked the hotel through Agoda and get a good deal for 2 night stays at the room facing street. The breakfast was very nice even though there was not much selection. I especially love the spring onion bread. The public hot spring was a great place to chill out with beds to relax & drinks. There are not many people partly due to the low season & i enjoyed very much with geat privacy. Spring bath inside the room is just another big bathtub which can fit two persons in. Unfortunately there's no view, i was quite regret should pay a few more for the lake view room.

Splendid Hot Spring Pool!”

I had one of the best experiences at Pause Landis in Taiwan. The room was not georgeous but simple and cozy. The room had a bath over looking the river but because it was 2nd floor or my room was at the far end, the view was okay. I could see the river, yes but I could also see the back yard of the hotel, which wasn't so pretty. The public pool hot spring bath was the best attraction in this hotel. I went in once at night and another in the morning time. Both time, it wasn't crowded at all. The water was very soft and it felt great. They also have a steam sauna and dry sauna inside the public pool facility and the facility is open for visitors, too.

A very nice hotel choice in Wulai area!”

When I booked this hotel, I was only aware that breakfast would be included. However, when I arrived at the hotel, it was really out of my expectation that the price in fact was inclusive of breakfast and dinner and 1 time entry to the public hotspring pool during the stay. Inside the room, there was a welcome fruit basket and everything in the mini bar is free to enjoy (i.e. on complimentary). The hotel staff service was excellent, too. I enjoyed a lot on spending time in the private hotspring pool inside my room. The only shortcoming is... at night, it was a little bit noisy as the room is facing the main road with the noise from the cars.

Great place for a relaxing stay”

i was travelling alone and taking a personal break away from work. as such, the resort was a perfect getaway spot. i took a short walk and explored the surrounding areas and shops and also spent good private time in my room. i also had a great meal at the restaurant in the hotel which serve delicious wholesome food.

Pricey, great mountain/river view”

Only way to reach hotel via cab from MRT station. Costs about TWD400-500 each way. Very few rooms, hence I was pleasantly surprised when my family had the entire restaurant to ourselves for dinner. Note that you will be given vouchers to use the inhouse hotspring facilities. But since children are not allowed, you might have to take turns to make use of the hotspring facilities, which are well-maintained, clean & least crowded compared to the usual mass-market hotspring hotels in Korea & Japan.

nice hotel but less attractive location”

We like the public hot-spring facility and the private hot-spring bathtub in the room. However, it is a bit far away from the "Wulai main street". It takes about 15 mins to walk from hotel to the main street. What's more, the way to the main street is a road full of cars / buses, which is not safe to walk there. If by public bus, it's only 2 bus-stop away, while it takes 10-15 mins to wait for the bus. Most of the restaurants are in the main street, but it seems not safe to walk back to hotel at night. The next morning we planned a walk to 加九寮步道 (one of the local attractions). However, an accident happened. When we were at the entrance of 加九寮步道, there were two side-roads. A signage of "No Way Through" (此路不通) was shown in one side-road. So we took the other one - a slope. When my hubby climbed up to the top of the slope, he saw a house. At the same time, two dogs came out suddenly rushing to my hubby. They gave my hubby a bite badly and barked at us. I screamed for help but the dogs' master didn't come out. We were so scared and helpless! Later on I called hotel and policy, telling them our experience with the dogs. I gave them feedback that a "proper signage" should be posted in the tourist areas. The current signage in 加九寮步道 is really misleading to tourists like us! Comments on the hotel facility and service is very positive - but we will not go to Wulai again because of the horrible dog-bite experience...

Great spring quality with right facility quality. If the breakfast assortment and cleanliness can be improved will be good.
