Great Hot Spring”

The hotel is a little old , but they did a great job by maintaining it well . The hot spring in the room was awesome , and the public hot spring was fantastic too. We had a great time staying here, the only down side is it is in the mountain and wont be easy to get there if you do not have a car.

A bit scary at first”

Overall our stay at the TangYue Resort was quite nice. We had booked a four person (family) room for the five of us. Upon arrival we were met with the nicest hotel staff and kindly arranged for the Golf Cart ride up to check-in. The front office staff was terrific too and the beginning of our relaxing family trip began. The facilities were great and the food could be better but given the circumstances I believe it was good enough. Have to remember, though, the location is in the mountains and there are not many stores within walking distances so eat what you can and enjoy the rest of the facilities afterwards. Being that this is the first time we traveled as a family with an eight month old baby, we were actually quite scared that he would wake up the guests at night. Well, fear became reality when our son woke up late into the night and cried for about three or four hours! We were so afraid the next morning we would be kicked out but that was not the case. The staff was still very friendly and courteous! Any rate, if you are looking for a place to relax as a couple or as a family, this is one place worth checking out. It deserves another stay from me.

Peaceful and quiet environment, great hot spring, ”

Tangyue Resort is a bit far from Hshinchu but it's worth the long drive with two stops at 客家大院 and 汶水老街. It is surrounded by mountains, an amazing place with hot springs and an excellent choice for honeymoon. Every staff is friendly, attentive and helpful. The buffet breakfast and set dinner were delicious and dinning atmosphere with spa music was very relaxing and amazing. We only stayed here for a night and will definitely come back again in near future. It was value for money.

Nice & Quiet Resort Surrounded by Mountains”

It's an amazing place with hot springs both inside and outside hotel room - that was the main reason why we chose there. The resort is a bit far - about 45-50 min by taxi (about NT900)/hotel shuttle from the Miaoli station but it's worth the long drive. The resort is surrounded by mountains - well other resorts then mountains. You can really feel the peace and quiet there. Breakfast is complimentary and it's huge (congee with lots of small side dishes, bread, juice and coffee). Dinner is not (about NT500) - a bit pricey for Taiwan but with the many courses, I think it's worth it. The staff is really attentive and helpful. Overall, it's an amazing place.

Great hotel, in-room onsen w fantastic view!”

Rooms were spacious & clean, in-room onsen was GREAT. Minor hiccup-had repeated issues with room key card(s), but staff eventually solved issue by providing us with the "manual" key. Staff are generally helpful, especially considerate towards old folks. Breakfast & dinner (part of package) was FANTASTIC (great quality, big portions, & yummy!). Day 1 breakfast>>choice between Western or Japanese sets. Day 2 breakfast>>buffet-style Taiwanese cuisine (porridge, buns, etc). Both days' dinners, had choice b/w Western cuisine or Steamboats/hotpots. Both options are GREAT (came with appetisers, tea, desserts/fruits). Take an early evening stroll down the slope. At junction with main road, there's a few stalls operated by local folks.. Nice view of the area, & of nearby vehicle bridge too. Nice chill time! A secret local fruit grocer gem>>well-hidden store that sits behind the hotel>>sells super solid grade Persimmons, at very good price! (visited in Oct-18-Persimmon harvest)

the main dish is pretty disappointed due to improper cook”

The main dish were requested to order while check-in in the afternoon, however, the delivery was pretty slow. Besides, the main dish (fish) for my father was very disappointed... It's NOT steak, how it could be "medium rare"??? Apparently rare!!! How could this mistake happen?

Honeymoon”

Rent a car to drive there. Beautiful scenery and environment at the mountain area. Went to the public hot spring and realized that alot of locals made their way here to relax and a short soak to drain away the tiredness. Awesome stay in the resort

It is a fine hotsprings hotel in the Sheipa N'l Park. onthe way to the hotel and the view around, magnificent indeed, we were just falling in love.... it is not easy to get there. you need to take a car,bus,or taxi but it is worth . water was calm and soothing. the dinner they represent was good. no complaining I recommend

The room was a little date. There was a night light right in front of the bed, above the T.V which could not be switch off. Throughout the night, there was a noise coming, I think from a pumping system for the spa in the room. The hot water boiler was also noisy intermittently. The public spa area is very well set up and has various temperature and Jacuzzis.

Great hot spot~”

Our stay in Tangyue was a comfortable visit. It is far away from the town center but has a great hot spot. There are shuttle bus traveling between hotel and Miaoli train station and you can book it before checkin and checkout. The price is reasonable too. However, it would be better if the tap & shower water is using fresh water instead of hot spot water, as it makes us not feel good when washing hands and brushing teeth, and makes the room so smelly. But overall the hot spot in room is very good and skins are smooth after that~

Beautiful view, nice food, but rooms old & dirty”

overall experience was good. though transportation is not convenient as it's very far from the city, but was ok to us as we only stayed 2 nights here and planned not to go out during our stay but enjoy the relaxing environment. we spent lots of time in hotspring which was quite enjoyable the only bad experience was their guest rooms are really old and dirty. we found many ants in our first room and we asked for changing to another room. but also found some ants in the another room and this room was even dirtier than the first.

Comfortable and clean hotel”

The stay at Tangyue was relaxing and I enjoyed the hot spring very much. The hotel is located quite far from Miaoli station and luckily the hotel offers shuttle service at 300 TWD per trip from Miaoli station to the hotel. Prior to the trip, I emailed the hotel to ask about contacts for a driver to drive us to other parts of Miaoli but I received no response. During the stay, I asked the same questions and the hotel staff were quite reluctant to give any contacts for a driver. I hope the hotel can be more attentive and helpful to the customer's needs in the future.

Nice onsen”

Onsen was good. Hotel itself is a bit old but overall was ok. Set dinner and buffet breakfast was average.
