A very good choice of hostel”
I haven't stayed in a hostel for years but based on the cost of hotel rooms in Taipei, it was hard to resist We Come Hostel, considering the facilities that were available. Location was very good. Close to Beimen and Airport MRT, and plenty of convenience stores nearby. Staff were friendly, and hostel offered everything I think you'd need for a few days stay. Vibe was very "Japan Capsule hotel where no one really talks" so don't expect massive socials like you might get elsewhere. Capsules were comfortable enough, with privacy curtains, electronic locker suitable for rucksacks, reading light, plug and usb charger, and staying on the 6th floor in the "superior" dorm, allowed a more exclusive use of a separate communal area that offered free tea and coffee, along with microwaves etc to self cater meals from 7-11. A few negatives from me though. Room didn't have enough room to really store up to 8 people's suitcases, Aircon was woefully bad making capsules "toasty", and although I never had to wait, just 2 shower rooms which includes the only 2 toilets for the entire floor, I really dont think is enough. Quite often, no toilet paper was left for example, and although immediately replaced after telling the staff, it felt being up on the 6th floor we were sort of forgotten. But all in all, a pleasant stay, and wouldn't hesitate to stay again if I returned to Taipei.

Located less than 10mins away from the Airport Metro which is super cool if you need to get to the airport early in the morning at odd hours. The bedding in the 4-bed dorm is also very comfortable, probably the most comfortable experience from all my dorm stays so far - pillow is high and not too soft, which provides ample support, blanket is also not too warm or thin either. They're clean. There was also an attached bathroom in the 4-bed dorm, although it can uncomfortable if other guests are doing something at odd hours, it's still a convenient aspect nevertheless. As long as the noise is kept to a reasonable level, I think it's ok. But I would suggest adding a note in the room to implement a no-hairdryer-after-11pm-rule because there was a guest who used the hairdryer at 2AM while 3 others including me were sleeping. Although it's a no-brainer, I still feel a need to implement the rule and remind guests to be respectful to others. Receptionist is also nice, but I think SOPs for early check-ins could be improved. I would expect a full tour or information on the facilities even if I'm not moving in immediately since the room isn't ready, so that if I come back late I am well informed of where to go and what to do. Other than that, there is also free flow of drinking water in the pantry, which is great! Although I grabbed a cup there wasn't cleaned. Again, it's a no-brainer to any guest that if they use the cups they should clean it thoroughly for the next person to use. Maybe the staff should check the cups while doing the regular cleanups?

The room is clean, new, and decently sized, making it a comfortable and pleasant stay. The room we stay is spacious enough to feel comfortable, and the cleanliness is top-notch, which is a big plus. The facilities are well-maintained, and the common areas provide a great space to relax and meet fellow travelers. The location is not super perfect but is acceptable, being within walking distance to Beimen MRT station. Overall, this hostel offers great value and a very enjoyable stay. Highly recommended!
We Come Hostel”
Not super picky with rooms - but I am when it comes to toilet and bath. The ensuite bathroom we have is perfect, though not big it looks and feels very clean (no molds or dirt in the corners) so I had peace of mind. Cant say more about the staffs - they are all so professional but friendly, warm and accommodating. Had the private superior room and bed and pillow are comfortable. I love that they dont allow shoes to be worn in the lounge and room (hotel slippers are provided) so for OC people like me, it is a plus point. Location is a 10minute walking distance from both the main station and the beimen station. There’s a bus stop nearby and several convenience stores. The street it is located is a quiet place but feels safe even at night so another plus for a female traveler like myself.

I stayed here as a solo traveller for 5 nights, and I thoroughly enjoyed this experience! Even though I was a really late check-in, the process was simple and didn't take time out of my night. The facilities were clean and luxurious considering how affordable the price is, and the amenities were stocked with everything you needed (towels to rent, and instant noodles to buy if you had a sudden craving). Some people said that this hostel lacked the "experience" of a hostel (being bustling 24/7), but this makes a great balance between socialising and peace-and-quiet after a long day of exploring. You could relax in the common room until the wee hours of the morning, and lo-fi music played and allowed you to unwind. I was able to make friends in the hostel without subjecting myself to a rowdy environment, while staying in a well-maintained room that was quiet. All in all, this was a brilliant choice of hostel to stay in Taipei, and I will recommend it to anyone 🌻
