The best service one can expect from a hotel staff”

I have to thank miss Lu at the front desk for her outstanding service that one could expect from a hotel staff. The price is reasonable and location is perfect! We enjoyed very much our stay in this hotel.

Reasonable priced for a well managed four to three stars hotel during the peak season ”

Very helpful staff with free pick up and drop off at the airport both ways service.. The hotel is next to Pier 3 tax free department store which is small but is an enjoyable place to hang out if you have a couple hours to kill. The air condition is very strong in the room so make sure you ask hotel stuff to adjust it for you as it is central controlled. Overall, it is good value for money.

Good location, friendly staffs”

Very convenient location. 4 mins walk to 7-11 and Watsons. 5 mins walk to witness the famous morning fish market. 3 mins away from the south sea harbour. Don't miss its dinner servered at 2 floor. Staffs there are very attentive and the price for quality food is unbelievably cheap!!

my stay at this hotel was wonderful. It was close to the boats. It was close to many great restaurants. It had a clean room. It had a beautiful buffet of a breakfast.overall it was a wonderful stay .the staff was great. thank you ya Ling hotel

a hotel where the customer is appreciated”

I was pleasantly surprised with the attitude and helpfulness that I received at this hotel. I have lived in Taiwan for a long time and have been to many hotels here. Sometimes people make rules in hotels for no reason. These rules make the customer feel handcuffed and annoyed. Not so with this hotel. They were more than happy to cater to any special request. They did their best to make you feel comfortable everyday. The service was really outstanding. The hotel is also located near the harbor. Going on day trips and taking a boat ride to other islands was very convenient and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was outstanding. Very Chinese in the style of cooking... But they were more than willing to cook me eggs and bacon. Overall it was a great stay.

Fantastično”

We only spent 1 night and we had to leave the hotel very early. The hotel arranged transport for us, even though it was too early for them and they even packed us breakfast. The staff was very kind and accommodating, it left us with very nice experience.

Great location & pool with bad smell in hall”

The hallway had a funky, off-putting smell and the room itself had a mildly bad smell. My hubby didn't notice it. The pool was great, especially in the afternoon when it was in full shade. The staff were very helpful. The breakfast was very Taiwanese, but there was fresh fruit, white bread for toast, and yoghurt.

The staff was exceptional, from my airport pickup awaiting me to the flawless arrangement of boat, scooter rental, snorkeling, recommendations for restaurants, directions, etc. The English speaking staff, Crystal, coordinated everything for me before my arrival in an efficient, caring and professional manner. Everyone at the hotel was friendly and went out of their way to make my experience wonderful! The room was clean and nicely furnished with a comfortable bed. Great location and gorgeous harbor view!

Lovely hotel and staff”

We had a really nice 2-night stay at Ya Ling. It's right by the pier so there was a great view from our 11th floor room, especially during the early morning and sunset. It's about a 10 minute walk from the more lively part of the harbor (and maybe 20 minutes from the 'downtown' area), but it's a nice walk along the boardwalk, and made for a pleasant and quiet walk back at night. The staff was really great. Since we were there for the Dragon Boat Festival long weekend, Penghu was packed and we had difficulties getting a scooter on our first day. But the staff kept calling the rental agencies even after we left the hotel for the day, and called us an hour or so later when they were finally able to secure one for us. We were also on a 'wait list' for snorkeling and they made sure we got a spot on the list. My only complaint is that even though the WiFi router was three steps outside our room, the signal was really bad and we couldn't use it at all. The 3G signal inside the room and in the hallways was not good either. I'd definitely stay here again, if only for the excellent staff.

Very high-class hotel in Penghu”

During my business trip in Taiwan, I stayed in Penghu (Makung) about six days. I’ve chosen this hotel because I had some good reviews from friends about it. And that was true because my stay was very pleasant : smile at the reception desk, good care of the clients, very kind intendants, laundry service, swimming-pool, sports, sauna and breakfast included.

Far away from Town Centre but near the pier, Value for Money a bit High”

We stayed 2 nights there. Free Pick-up from Airport. Counter Attendants are helpful. The sea-view is good. It takes 20 mins walk from the hotel to town centre. The Hotel mainly serves local tour. You will find chaos at the restaurant as the buffet breakfast starts at 0700 hours, especially the island-hopping tour came to pick up at 0730 hours. The water of the outdoor swimming pool at 3/F is not clear and you can see dirt stain at the bottom of it. No attendant is present during opening hours. When we asked for towel, another staff told us the attendant has already off duty. Rooms to improve, especially the cleanliness of the swimming pool.

Their Services - Almost Perfect”

My wife, 1-year-old son and me spent 3 days at this hotel. The hotel is so kind to offer an extra standard baby bed and bathing tub without extra charge. The pick-up service from/to airport is inclusive in the room. We rented a car, and booked a journey to two southern islands at the front desk. The front desk is very helpful! The breakfast is not as impressive but still quite acceptable. They gave us a room with balcony facing the harbor which is right beside the hotel. Nice work!

Good 3 star hotel”

It was OK. We stayed 4 nights. Unfortunately we had higher expectations of this place. The room was large but tired, the cleaner did not put much efforts in daily cleaning. It was also pretty noisy - not only the hotel is located right on a fisherman and commute harbour, but also there were some repairs in the hotel during the night! We even had to ask for help at 3am in the morning so that the drilling stops! The gym was open only from 5-10pm and had 3 machines. The pool was outside with no shade at all (it gets VERY hot in Penghu island) and it looked that they clean it once a months (lots of dead insect and some slimy stuff floating around). The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was only one person who show English and get shift finished at 3pm, so if we needed anything after that time, better to wait till the next day. Breakfasts were very Asian. We meet 4 German young people there and they also struggled with the breakfast. Fortunately there was some fruit and the staff were happy to fry some eggs for us. A great thing was that they hired a scooter for us - 400NTD per day and we had only Australian driving licences. Overall, it was an OK hotel, but I wouldn't rate it 4* by any stretch.

I do not speak Mandarin, the staff went next level to ensure they understand me correctly. The hotel is super clean and the breakfast was good.

Great Hotel Overall”

My friends and I had a wonderful stay. The room was clean, A/C worked well, great view of harbor, swimming pool and spa pool were very nice and well-maintained. Only downside was that the breakfast, while it had many, many choices, had limited Western options. Also, free washer and dryer was nice, but dryer needs to be better as it took 2 hours to dry cotton clothes. Staff were very kind and friendly, but had limited English. Overall, would DEFINITELY recommend!

Good location & services”

It's inbetween Four points Sheraton & Discovery Hotel. Price is very competitive. It has a small swimming pool & gym. Service is beyond my expectation! It provides free airport transfer. Since I changed my transfer time to airport. I asked them to call a taxi for me ,which I supposed to pay the fare myself. But when I reached the airport, the taxi driver told me that the hotel has paid for me already !
