Smoke-free hotels in Fangshan District

"This was a very comfortable and almost secure hotel, the one failing is the lack of multilingual staff at reception, this would have been a major problem for anyone not fluent in Chinese,I was lucky that there was one male member of staff who could partly understand English, but he was not always present when I needed information.The room is part cleaned, bed made, towels refreshed and bottled water supplied daily, I would have liked a mini fridge and the of a safe in the room, may not be all rooms but, mine had no wardrobe or cupboard to hang my clothes, just some coat hooks on the wall. not sure if this was the same in every room, but my air con when switched on blew mosquitos into my room, although there was a mosquito killer supplied with free tablets, it would not have been required if the air con intake had a mesh filter fitted. Security appeared to be good, with the elevator only activated by swiping your room card and would only allow you to go to the floor your room was on, and a security person in reception throughout the night, but this is all useless as I found that the stairs could be used to access any other floor as there was no restriction here, this could be solved by adding swipe card locks to the doors that access the floors and employing the same limits as the elevator only allowing you to enter your floor. Would I use this Hotel again? All things considered, Yes I would. "

"I enjoyed my stay. This hotel is very far from downtown. But it was what I needed; away from the city. It’s 2-3 minute walk from the station. There’s a lot of stores in the area. Nice bed, great air conditioning, nice shower, complimentary water and tea and great wifi! There’s only one thing that bothered me. And that is the lady at the reception. She’s not to accommodating. No smile on her face. I guess because she doesn’t speak English reason she tries to avoid conversations. Overall... Nice stay!"
