The best place to stay in Laos”
This is an amazing place. The hotel is by a beautiful river with views of the jungle. It’s quiet and peaceful with wooden huts set around a central restaurant. The location is unbeatable. You can swim in the river, take kayaks up and down stream, go on walks around the nearby limestone karst and, of course, visit Konglor Cave. A few points to be aware of. First, if you’re coming by taxi from Ban Nahin, ask to get off at the Spring River sign, which is just before the final stop in Konglor Village. You’ll save yourself the walk back along the way you came. Second, the food is a little more expensive than other places (30-50k for local dishes, 60-80k for Western ones). You might want to have some meals in the village (around 30mins walk away). Definitely bring some snacks. Third, the cave is around 40mins walk away so be prepared for that. We didn’t have a motorbike so ended up walking a lot, but it was worth it for such a wonderful hotel.

The paradise in Konglor!”
We slept for 2 nights and we would have liked to stop a few more days. It's quiet and the river view at sunset is really very beautiful. We opted for a room with a shared bathroom. The trational room was huge and clean. The restroom was very clean and the staff very nice. The restaurent is fantastic! Every dishe we ate was delicious. But the added value is Nee. She's so cute and helpuful.

Very special place”
This accomodation was one of our favourite in 6 months in SEA. the property is located at a river where you can swim and watch the locals fish, the sounds at night are amazing and you have the impression of being in the jungle. The bungalow is basic, but clean and the bed was really comfy. The restaurant serves good food, even though a bit pricey. The Lao curry is the best (45k)! I absolutely recommend this place!

Quiet Peaceful Relaxation, ”
The warm and friendly staff took very good care of us. Big smiles from everyone! They work together like one close family. Everything was immaculate, inside and out. The grounds are beautiful, especially at the end of rainy season. Spent 4 days relaxing, kayaking in the lagoon, walking around the village, and just chilling. Unusually fast internet allowed me to join a couple video meetings and work a bit without any problems (better than in Vientiane!). We stayed in the garden bungalow with shared toilets and shower, a minor hassle, especially given the cheap price. A mid-range bungalow with air and a private shower would be my only future request. Other than that, perfect! Will definitely be back again.

What else to say?”
This is one incredible “jungle” resort with several extremely worthwhile attractions nearby. Spotless rooms and facilities. Authentic tasting and impressive Western and Asian food menus are offered for a rather reasonable price which is important as the lodge is located in a national forest and is quite remote from the nearest villages. Flatboat river cruises, nearby caves, nightly campfires and kayaking in the adjacent Blue Lagoon will keep you entertained and ensure a good nights sleep. The owners are very friendly and the facilities manager, Mek, was always more than happy to attend to our every need. All in all a great experience and will return soon!

Exceptional”
Absolutely gorgeous little spot. The restaurant has great food and even better views! The showers/toilets are a bit of a walk from the huts and the walkway gets very slippery when it rains! I slipped a few times. I would suggest walking around barefoot. So glad we splurged and stayed here for a night.

Canadian Couple”
We stayed in a riverside bungalow. We had a great view from our balcony. The large bed was hard but the single was good. It was very clean. The staff was super. Great breakfast (I had French Toast made with homemade bread and syrup). So delicious. The only restaurant is at the resort and the meals are great but a bit pricey. There is a boat right from the resort to the cave which is very convenient. It was a wonderful experience.

Amazing View Amazing Staff”
The view from this place was understated by those that recommended it. We stayed in a river view room. The view of the river and mountain from the balcony was something else. Well worth it. The staff were incredibly helpful and super friendly. They put effort into learning everyone's name and always had a smile on their faces. The food at the restaurant was delicious and the range of activities was great. We used the kayaks to explore the river and took the water taxi to Konglor Cave. Well worth it! The only downside was that our shower struggled to stay warm but out in the middle of nowhere in Laos that's pretty standard and not much of an issue. Stay here!

Excellent”
The manager Ms Vicky is very helpful and she gave a lot of information. Staffs are very polite, foods are good although is little bit pricey, but it is understandable due to the remote location. extremely relaxing atmosphere in the resort. Like it very much.

Nice stay but room for improvement”
Spring river resort is a lovely place to stay, we had a garden facing bungalow which was perfect for our needs. Rooms are basic but clean. Communal restrooms are great with hot showers and clean toilets. Lovely views of the mountains and gardens here. Only negative would be there is nowhere to sit down by the river so nowhere apart from outside your bungalow to relax on wooden chairs. Also the kayaking is only in the blue lagoon (700m) if you want to kayak up the river this is a different Kayak and a different price. Cannot swim in the blue lagoon either- only 100m from the starting line which has mostly trees and is shallow. This isn't very clear on the website/information and found this out at the resort. Expensive refilling of the water bottle- used to it being free in other places we have stayed in Laos. We stayed 2 nights but am sure you only really need 1 with the facilities on offer. Food was nice in the restaurant.

Nature and two options”
We reserved a room at 17$ but did not realize it was with shared bathroom so we upgraded the room to one with bathroom and it was 65$ (Canadian dollars). With no air conditioned, we thought it was a bit overpriced, espacially since it was a triple room which we didn't need (no double only). But we had a nice balcony with view on the river and the breakfast was nice too. Another problem was the transport to the cave. We were told it would cost 80000 kips (10$+) and not sure we would get someone to come pick us up. We ended up walking to the cave (4km approx) which was notre too bas but felt it should have been more convenient for people choosing to stay at this remote place.

Beautiful hotel and amazing service”
The hotel is absolutely beautiful. It is very lush, the rooms are nice and comfortable. Though there was something wrong with the check-in (check-in is until 8pm, and the hotel didn't get the memo that I will arrive later than 8pm, the reception was closed), someone came straight away to check us in. The staff is incredible!

A peaceful place, but.,”
Pros: beautiful location and grounds. Very relaxing. Extremely pleasant staff.. Cons: the food is expensive, and other restaurants are a few km away. "No outside food or drinks allowed:" Difficult to access at night. About half the guests are very cliqueish, IMHO, rather than the relaxed, laid-back travellers I'm accustomed to in Laos.

Room is nice, but the food is expensive.”
I really enjoy the surrounding there, with the river and mountain view. Room was great, staff were friendly, but the food in the restaurant is too expensive. We were two people, in the end we spend the same price as accommodation for dinner and simple breakfast. Otherwise everything there was perfect with the value!

Loss leader ”
The rooms are cheap and the area is beautiful. That's how they get you! Everything on the menue is a least twice the price of surrounding restaurants. Beer Lao is 16000k . They have kayaks, but that's going to cost you 50000 per person, even you'd like to rent a double. The blue lagoon they advertise is were the local village gets their water from, so you can only swim at the entrance ( that's 100% fair , probably shouldn't be swimming there at all imo )

Peaceful and relaxing”
We loved our stay at Spring River Resort and will definitely go back again despite the six hour drive from Vientiane. The location was right on the river allowing our children the opportunity to play in the water and sand. The staff were lovely and very welcoming. Nothing seemed to be too much to ask of them and they served some of the tastiest food we have eaten in a while (fresh, flavorsome and good value for money). Nearby Konglor Caves was also a great experience and only 1km from the Resort. While our children swam in the river next to the Resort, we would recommend swimming in the 'swimming area' at the mouth of Konglor Caves where the water is clear and clean. However, the water at the foot of the resort was clean enough for the kids to paddle and play. The bungalows on the edge of the river (6 in total) are the most comfortable of the accommodation on offer. In the height of the warmer months the accommodation is likely to be a little warm as the ceiling fans are not particularly effective. Overall, it was one of the most relaxing long weekends we've had for a long time.

simply amazing ”
we stayed here for 4 nights in total and really enjoyed our stay. We had a river- front room and were amazed by the stunning view over the river and the jungel. The location is truly magical. One day we rented a rowing boat and went up the clearwater river which was like nothing we've ever seen before! Its about 3 km away from the tham kong lor cave! we also have to mention the great food and especially the breakfast which was one of the best ones we had during our travels. The resort itself is very clean and beautifully done! the staff was also incredibly helfpul. we honestly wished we could have stayed longer!

Beautiful place, well situated, very helpful staff”
I had a wonderful stay at Spring River Resort, it was very quiet and relaxing! Leuang, the manager of the resort is a former tourguide for Laos and was very helpful in helping me to organise the rest of my trip in Laos! The Kong Lor Cave is a few minutes away from the resort, a very amazing experience to see it!
