Beautiful jungle-like setting!”
Wonderful eco-lodge type of place but with all the necessary comforts. Peaceful, comfortable individual lodges surrounded by astounding greenery. Great restaurant always open, looks out on to the river. Fabulous find!

Exceptional”
This is a little slice of heaven and you will feel like extending your stay over and over again. The owners are so lovely and we can’t recommend it enough. The kayak into the private lagoon was such a highlight and they have a lovely campfire in the evenings. It’s the only property in the wider area with no stray dogs, which was amazing. The shared bathrooms were super clean. The bamboo bungalows aren’t soundproof but you make friends with the other guests staying at the property and everyone is really considerate so it’s not a problem. The location is secluded off the main room so food etc will come at a little bit of a price premium, which is to be expected and not an issue. We absolutely loved our stay and can’t wait to return.

Fabulous Staff”
Honestly the staff can't do enough to help you whilst you are here. It's a fantastic location on the crystal clear river and close to the Kong Lor cave. I would reccommend anyone travelling in Laos to go there. It's definitely worth the effort of getting there.

What else to say?”
This is one incredible “jungle” resort with several extremely worthwhile attractions nearby. Spotless rooms and facilities. Authentic tasting and impressive Western and Asian food menus are offered for a rather reasonable price which is important as the lodge is located in a national forest and is quite remote from the nearest villages. Flatboat river cruises, nearby caves, nightly campfires and kayaking in the adjacent Blue Lagoon will keep you entertained and ensure a good nights sleep. The owners are very friendly and the facilities manager, Mek, was always more than happy to attend to our every need. All in all a great experience and will return soon!

Quiet Peaceful Relaxation, ”
The warm and friendly staff took very good care of us. Big smiles from everyone! They work together like one close family. Everything was immaculate, inside and out. The grounds are beautiful, especially at the end of rainy season. Spent 4 days relaxing, kayaking in the lagoon, walking around the village, and just chilling. Unusually fast internet allowed me to join a couple video meetings and work a bit without any problems (better than in Vientiane!). We stayed in the garden bungalow with shared toilets and shower, a minor hassle, especially given the cheap price. A mid-range bungalow with air and a private shower would be my only future request. Other than that, perfect! Will definitely be back again.

Canadian Couple”
We stayed in a riverside bungalow. We had a great view from our balcony. The large bed was hard but the single was good. It was very clean. The staff was super. Great breakfast (I had French Toast made with homemade bread and syrup). So delicious. The only restaurant is at the resort and the meals are great but a bit pricey. There is a boat right from the resort to the cave which is very convenient. It was a wonderful experience.

Great location, staff wonderful, very good food. I know it is after Covid but it need a little spruce up for the rate of the private cabin. The shower could improve. I would definitely recommend. Cheers

Absolutely amazing”
Everything about Spring river resort was just heavenly. Staff is incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and nice and the location by the river is so beautiful. And the blue lagoon is unreal. 5 stars all around.

Perfect to explore the cave”
Spend the 250k per boat to travel to the cave. Double room ok, communal bath and restroom clean. Restaurant a bit more expensive, but good quality and worth the price.

Nice stay but room for improvement”
Spring river resort is a lovely place to stay, we had a garden facing bungalow which was perfect for our needs. Rooms are basic but clean. Communal restrooms are great with hot showers and clean toilets. Lovely views of the mountains and gardens here. Only negative would be there is nowhere to sit down by the river so nowhere apart from outside your bungalow to relax on wooden chairs. Also the kayaking is only in the blue lagoon (700m) if you want to kayak up the river this is a different Kayak and a different price. Cannot swim in the blue lagoon either- only 100m from the starting line which has mostly trees and is shallow. This isn't very clear on the website/information and found this out at the resort. Expensive refilling of the water bottle- used to it being free in other places we have stayed in Laos. We stayed 2 nights but am sure you only really need 1 with the facilities on offer. Food was nice in the restaurant.

Beautiful hotel and amazing service”
The hotel is absolutely beautiful. It is very lush, the rooms are nice and comfortable. Though there was something wrong with the check-in (check-in is until 8pm, and the hotel didn't get the memo that I will arrive later than 8pm, the reception was closed), someone came straight away to check us in. The staff is incredible!

Loss leader ”
The rooms are cheap and the area is beautiful. That's how they get you! Everything on the menue is a least twice the price of surrounding restaurants. Beer Lao is 16000k . They have kayaks, but that's going to cost you 50000 per person, even you'd like to rent a double. The blue lagoon they advertise is were the local village gets their water from, so you can only swim at the entrance ( that's 100% fair , probably shouldn't be swimming there at all imo )

Not value for money”
At first you have to drive down a very long stone road that is slippery than any other road. The place itself is cute but overpriced. The budget rooms are noisy with people going to toilet block. I have stayed in hostel forms more quite than this. The food is over priced and don’t expect much on your plate. Hot chow will be cold, as will the coffee. Nope I do not recommend this place much cheaper and cuter in the village.

Peaceful and relaxing”
We loved our stay at Spring River Resort and will definitely go back again despite the six hour drive from Vientiane. The location was right on the river allowing our children the opportunity to play in the water and sand. The staff were lovely and very welcoming. Nothing seemed to be too much to ask of them and they served some of the tastiest food we have eaten in a while (fresh, flavorsome and good value for money). Nearby Konglor Caves was also a great experience and only 1km from the Resort. While our children swam in the river next to the Resort, we would recommend swimming in the 'swimming area' at the mouth of Konglor Caves where the water is clear and clean. However, the water at the foot of the resort was clean enough for the kids to paddle and play. The bungalows on the edge of the river (6 in total) are the most comfortable of the accommodation on offer. In the height of the warmer months the accommodation is likely to be a little warm as the ceiling fans are not particularly effective. Overall, it was one of the most relaxing long weekends we've had for a long time.

simply amazing ”
we stayed here for 4 nights in total and really enjoyed our stay. We had a river- front room and were amazed by the stunning view over the river and the jungel. The location is truly magical. One day we rented a rowing boat and went up the clearwater river which was like nothing we've ever seen before! Its about 3 km away from the tham kong lor cave! we also have to mention the great food and especially the breakfast which was one of the best ones we had during our travels. The resort itself is very clean and beautifully done! the staff was also incredibly helfpul. we honestly wished we could have stayed longer!

Beautiful place, well situated, very helpful staff”
I had a wonderful stay at Spring River Resort, it was very quiet and relaxing! Leuang, the manager of the resort is a former tourguide for Laos and was very helpful in helping me to organise the rest of my trip in Laos! The Kong Lor Cave is a few minutes away from the resort, a very amazing experience to see it!

Just a Lovely Place to Stay!”
We stayed two nights at the delightful Spring River Resort, while riding the Thakhek Loop on motorbikes. I originally booked a garden view bungalow, but upon arrival realized that the walls were extremely thin and the quality wasn’t what I had expected from the photos on the site. They happily upgraded us to a river view bungalow-much sturdier and private (and the view!). Also more costly, but worth it. The staff were wonderful, the food delicious, the service excellent. It is a peaceful and beauteous respite from the road and they also provide a great water taxi to the waterfalls, which I would recommend. They thoughtfully provided us with sandwiches for the road when we left early in the morning, which was so sweet. If you are visiting the Konglor Caves, I’d recommend a stay here-preferably for more than one night.
