Wonderful stay would definitely recommend ”
Try look at Tg Gemok instead of Mersing, it’s same price but has more reliable boats trips as it’s not dependent on the tide and you can get a bus to outside the jetty.Please make sure you understand this is a very basic place and village, its right on the beach and they greet you at the jetty. The cabins are basic but very clean and well looked after with brand new aircon which works amazing, takes only minutes to cool the room and a new fan aswell. There is new shower heater for hot shower and average size double bed which was big enough for us, with space for luggage and to walk. It has a balcony and Bathroom is good size and south east Asia style. You have electricity all the time, there is no WiFi but the owner Aishah was very helpful and let me use her phone. The beach is sand with some rocks further out, but when the tide is in it’s great for swimming. If you walk along the path there is other beaches. They have a restaurant and there is a few others in the village which all sell similar items, it’s basic but yummy, this is due to limited food deliveries to their village so please don’t be expect to much, but they will always try and do what they can. My husband absolutely loved the seafood bbq, the picture on the menu does not do it justice and was really worth the price! The owners made this a great trip. All the people who work there are wonderful and make you feel so welcome. They take the time to learn you name and will help in any way. I am a vegetarian and they always worried I wasn’t eating enough and kept feeding me wonderful fruit fresh from the trees they grow. Truely lovely people.

Excellent Experience Staying in Sentosa Chalet”
The Chalet we stayed was clean, very well maintained, adequately furnished and perfectly located for having panoramic view of the beach on one side and twin peak view on the other side. It's so nice to watch the beach sitting on the relax chair from the balcony. Just beside the chalet a fresh water stream from the mountain flows and joins the sea. This adds more beauty to the view from the balcony. Both the key attractions (Twin Peaks trekking and Water Fall) are very close the chalet. Food served at Chalet restaurant is very economical compared to any other location of Tioman island. Even though we stayed during off-season, we truly enjoyed the stay and beauty of the nature. Regarding sea activities, chalet has Canoe, Kayak, surfboard and snorkeling kits. They also have well maintained fishing boat for fishing trips. All are well maintained. Best part of our trip was the hospitality of the chalet owners and staffs. They were so kind and caring. They provided good suggestions for leisure touring around the place. They have good connections to arrange for sea taxi, tourist guide for trekking and also for trip to other tourist locations of the island at optimal cost. The place is so peaceful and serene that I am planning to visit this place again in near future.

Aisyah and Zamros - best hosts ever! Hidden gem! :)”
We really loved staying at the accomodation in Mukut. It is all very clean and the rooms are big. The hosts (auntie Aisyah and uncle Zamros) were the best hosts we ever met and they really care so much about you feeling comfortable and give their very best to make your stay unique at Mukut. If you need anything you can simply talk to them and they will arrange all the things you need. For all the people out there who want to get to Sri Sentosa Chalet, please be aware of the following things: - Starting with September 2019 you can finally get directly to Mukut with Cataferry [until now you always needed to get to Genting first and then get a rather expensive sea taxi] (4 people minimum @ 60 RM p. person OR ~240 RM privat boat to get to Mukut) - In case you do not use the Cataferry please make sure to get in contact with the accomodation in advance before you arrive, so they can manage good / cheap ways to get there - Not so much entertainment there, just nature you'll love, really!

Drewniany domek bezpośrednio na plaży, czysty, z fajnym klimatem, wyposażony w klimatyzację i wiatrak. Czysta łazienka i wspaniałe widoki w balkonu. Ale przede wszystkim bardzo uczynni i uczciwi właściciele, którzy służą pomocą i dobra radą. Bardzo polecam pobyt w tym miejscu - mimo ze nie jest łatwo dotrzeć, jest to klimat autentycznej wioski. Możliwość wycieczek na wodospad oraz wspinaczki górskiej. Restauracja jest na miejscu. dobre miejsce na odpoczynek - nie zawsze jest zasięg telefonu, nie ma WiFi. Bardzo polecam to miejsce. Wooden house directly on the beach, clean, with a nice climate, equipped with air conditioning and a windmill. Clean bathroom and great views in the balcony. But above all, very obliging and honest owners who provide help and good advice. I highly recommend staying here - although it is not easy to reach, it is the atmosphere of an authentic village. The possibility of trips to the waterfall and mountain climbing. The restaurant is on site.

Awesome place and lovely people”
Charming, secluded family owned hostel. We stayed a Sri Sentosa 3 nights and I must say that it exceeded all my expectations. The rooms are clean and spatious and come at a good price. The food is simple and fine. The people in Mukut village are all extremely kind and caring. The location is idyllic, just on the foot of Tioman's famous twin peaks (dragon's horns) that you can hike, close to the beautyful Asah waterfalls and right on the Mukut beach, that gives you access to quality snorkeling. But most of all, Aisyah, her relatives and the rest of the Sri Sentosa staff will make sure you fully enjoy your stay, always present and helping, delivering advices and insights about the Island and helping you to organize your trips to the nearby destinations. If you're looking for a peaceful, simple and disconnected hostel, search no more because you've found your place to stay.

The last untouched paradise of Tioman”
Stayed 12-14 Jul 2019 in Seafront Cottage and Quad Room Owner Aisyah, her husband Zamros, and their youngest son Zafran are fun, jovial hosts and speak superb English. They are like an Uncle / Auntie / cousin who will take good care of your every need - and more! You have to come here to believe... There is no wifi but 3G is consistent in the dining area and in the rooms throughout our stay. For both rooms - toilets are extremely clean with very strong water pressure. Aircon powerful and cold too. If you seek nature and tranquility in an un-commercialized, beautiful, safe and clean environment run by native villagers - come to Sri Sentosa.

Awesome family getaway is in Sri Sentosa, Mukut”
This resort is owned by a wonderful family members. Always looking out for each other at the whole time I’ve spent here with my family. They are accommodative to our requests and cared for our safety at all times while we were there. There’s a secret which Kak Aishah discloses. Bathe by splashing mountain water supplied in every room inside their bathroom. Cool refreshing and rejuvenating experience. Zamrus, the boss, Zafri his son were caring and always looking out for each other most all times. They speak fluent English. The Chef is an awesome cook. Specialising in authentic Malay cuisine!! Fragrant fish curry, freshly caught steamed fish, live tumeric chicken and pisang pengat as dessert served with freshly grown Tioman’s super juicy young coconut juice. I bought fresh catch, a huge fish right at their beachfront!!! What an wonderful experience. My whole family enjoyed every moment in Sri Sentosa. Most extraordinary experience in Sri Sentosa? Yes, we met the black giant squirrel!

Wonderful place for snorceling, beautiful beaches, original fisher village with small houses”
We stayed 5 days and saw turtles, sharks, sting rays and a lot of fish and corals . You can go into the water directly from the bungalow to snorcel or swimm. Ask for boot Taxi in your reservation they'll organize it for you and it's cheaper than booking in Genting. There is no road to take normal taxi. The owners are so friendly and will help you with everything and tell you the best spots for snorceling. They also harvest their on honey and will show the bees. Also hike to the waterfall, the view from the top is great. The hole village is a nice and calm fishing village with small shops and food. We will definitely come again and stay longer! Mukut Memories”
My second yearly sojourn here and the place was as I remember it...serene, peaceful, slow yet magical...we did walks on paved trails to spectacular powdery white sand beaches with not a soul in sight...the stroll was itself a delightful experience where you would walk on a tree shaded pathway...You can spot the local wildlife in their natural habitat...we took a short boat trip to Juara and then piled on a 4WD on to Tekek passing steep hill climbs nestled in virgin tropical jungles with occasional panaromic views of lowlands...Mukut has this local lady who makes the best kuih only sold during the Muslim fasting period sold right by a bridge over a brook...the local villagers are ever so helpful in arranging short trips when requested...we did a fishing trip with a local Mukut guide and brought back kerisi and kerapu which was ultimately cooked to perfection at Sri Sentosa's canteen...a special place minus the usual tourists humdrum...the slowpaced kampung life that every Malaysian dreams of...

We recommend Sri Sentosa Charlet!”
Sri Sentosa Charlet has been a great place for my parents and me. The host was very kind and friendly, and the host family was very keen to make our holiday enjoyable and relaxing. Food was delicious and very reasonably priced. The place was very quiet and not tainted by tourists. We very much enjoyed its pristine surroundings, and we saw many different sea creatures while snorkeling. The ferry does not reach Mukut, but we enjoyed the exquisite scenery of the island on the way by a sea taxi. If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing place to release your stress and empty all your worries, we strongly recommend this place!

Lovely stay at Sri Sentosa!”
We booked to stay here for a week initially and ended up staying for 10 days! The most peaceful beautiful resort & hotel. If you’re wanting a resort that is quiet but still plenty to see and do this is for you, there is the waterfall, dragon horns, snorkelling, kayaking, diving. Our stay was made even better by the hosts, thank you so much for making us feel so welcome! You were helpful, kind, and you have a beautiful family who were all amazing! A peaceful place you have to stay”
Mukut is a place of quiet and piece, not to miss! If you want to visit also other places start from Mukut so to save money on the transfer with seataxi to other places. Aysha and her family are special people rarely to meet in life they make your visit unique, they are more than helpful and their cooked food is special. If we will be ever back in Mukut we will certainly stay at Sri Sentosa. Do not take the last boat as there will not be seataxi available to go there. Do not miss!!

Relaxing and wonderful”
Sri Sentosa is placed next to the beach in the calm fisher village Mutuk. We loved the authentic and relaxed life where you get in contact with some locals especially the very friendly owner who were always helpful. She told us a lot about the life in Tioman and the plants in the nature around the Chalets. The food was great as well! The Chalets are basic but clean and comfortable. The Air Con worked well. Mutuk is a beautiful place if you like trekking with magic view-points, cold waterfalls, snorkeling, good conversation and quietness. Dont forget that you have to organise you transfer from Genting to Mutuk and that the ferry from Mersing depends on the tide ;) Thank you so much!

Excellent place in Mukut. Next to the beach with good snorkeling. Clean room and super nice hosts and good food. Only minor are the sand flies, but they are all over Tioman, so no relaxing on the beach is possible. Mukut is a small village with hardly any tourists, calm and very relaxed, we enjoyed it a lot.
