We were traveling to Bolivia from the US, which meant a late-night arrival in Santa Cruz. We needed a place to spend the night before heading out the next day to Sucre, and being close to the airport was very important to us. The Sun Hotel fit the bill. They also had a free shuttle (a pickup truck actually!) to get us from and too the airport.
I just can say for a airport hotel - not even the shuttle have worked
Overall the hotel is good. The location is good to access the airport, but if you stay more than just taking a connection flight, it would be better to stay at the city centre. The gym has nice equipments, but the gym room is too hot. An air conditioner there wouldn't be a bad idea. In my room the TV wasn't working at first and the technicians took about 30 min to get it repaired. There were no towels in my room, I had to ask in the reception and they brought me only one full body towel. Since I was there for just one day, I didn't bother to complain and I was already a bit disappointed with the TV issue. I prefer to think I was unlucky to have some small issues but in normal circumstances it would be better, but anyway for this stay the hotel doesn't deserve better grade from me.
