Great value for money.”
Strong feeling of old Beijing culture as the hotel is located in the old town area with Hutongs surrounded. Ten minutes walk to subway station. Good access to shopping area Wangfujing, Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. Quite some of local restaurants are close by. Good for young travelers with limited budget.

Standard chain hotel”
hotel was a standard budget hotel for china. it is of a somewhat lower quality than super 8 hotels in the states, but all staff was friendly, there was a computer in the lobby you could use and the hotel had free wifi. the wifi only worked about half the time.

Convenient location”
If you wanna find a downtown hotel with a rather low price, Super 8 is your first choice. Yet, room service is not good enough to satisfy you and bed is a bit hard. Not good enough for you after a long trip to GW / Ming Tombs.

Adequate Super 8 Hotel”

Too expensive for Standard of Room”
I booked a standard room but it is really down. I know the hotel charge is not cheap in Beijing. But the level of room is really unacceptable for such price. I am willing to paid RMB250+ only for that old room. It takes about 5 minutes to a nearer MRT line 5. There is nothing much good foods around the hotel.

A Smelltel with decent staff”
My first two nights here were bad since I was on the first floor and I was awoken both mornings at 7:30 by people slamming their doors. Not sure if this was the staff coming and going from the parking lot, or just guests slamming their doors. The next night I moved to the second floor and slept well. The hotel smells like a mix of a Senior citizens center and a sports pub bathroom, but once you are in the room it's slightly better. The manager here was helpful. This hotel isn't near much nightlife, so I'd recommend taking the subway to Nanguluoxiang station, and chillin there at night. Again, this hotel wasn't luxurious, but I paid a cheap price, so I shouldn't be shocked.

typical motel type property ”
basic motel in a convenient location. (actually the real motel 8 in the us is often better than this, i assume this one has nothing to do with motel 8 chain) if you're in beijing for shopping and don't want to spend much money and don't care about what your room looks like this might be a good choice. but if you want to stay in something more cheerful with cleaner bathroom then go elsewhere. access to decent restaurants

fine for China but too expensive”
I have stayed in far, far worse rooms in China, but never have I paid so much for so little. The bed sagged horribly, the wallpaper was peeling, one of the shower doors was missing, and housekeeping spent about two minutes in the room per day. This is fine if I'm paying 60RMB a night. But not for 250RMB. I actually expected far better given the Super 8 name.

An upgrade in a dump is still a dump”
You know that you won't get much if you book a hotel this close to the Forbidden City for such a low price. When the first thing you see when you open the door of the room is the business cards of the local hookers you know exactly why it was so cheap. I got an upgrade to a 'luxury' room this time. The stench of cigarette smoke was not pleasant (understatement) and the massive stain on the wall where a pipe must have been leaking was not pretty. This place is a total dump, it looks like the chain that runs it is just waiting for it to fall down by itself rather than making any investments in maintenance. Oh and make sure you allocate time for checking in and out: both take absolute ages despite a lot of staff working there.

Proximity to the subway is its advantage”
Our stay in the hotel is just okay, we get what we pay for. We had a hard time finding the hotel because it is situated in the inner street and no sign is posted on the main thoroughfare (both Side). I had to use my phone to ask the driver to get direction from the front desk even if I had the map printed. The room we get is for two, its a bit small but just right for me and my companion. The bed is suuuuupeeeer hard, I must say. But the advantage of the hotel is its nearness to the Dongsi Station of the subway.

dirty, dirty, dirty walls from lobby to room”
The staff was rude and lazy..My wife asked them for the direction for the subway and they told her to go and watch on the Internet. The bubway Donci, was 5 minutes aways but seems staff customer service is not part of their formation. The Internet works fine but only in the lobby. The room walls and carpet were very dirty and bed comfort was pretty bad and sheets were yellow (old or dirty not too sure). The only man working during our stay was very lazy and needs to switch to the girls to settle check in in 5 minutes. The walls in the lobby are dirty and make Super 8 hotels chains looks pretty bad from the entrance...and the economy room doesn't improve our impression. So its a good hotel if location, air con and hot water is the only things you care and don't mind sleeping in a dump!

Super 8 Dong Si”
I would describe this hotel as the ordinary one, but there was something bad about the room, so I would not recommend it. The place of this hotel - is somewhere very deep inside the block. They have something with the same name on the main street, so the taxi took me there. But there were not light and it was closed, I asked where is the main entrance? only after that the taxi driver start to looking for the hotel, which was inside the block after two corners. The room: the carpet in the room on one side of the room (near to bathroom wall) was absolutely wet, so we went to bed from another side of the bed. As we arrived in the night time and slept only one night, we did not ask for another room. The feeling in the room was as it had lots of dust everywhere - on curtains, on the cable of the bed-lamp. bad for the money, find something better.

Good location but dirty room”
The hotel is located in a hutong and well-located. Nearest subway station is Dongsi (5-min walk). Restaurants and convenience stores nearby. Hot water, good bed, free wired Internet in room and free wifi in lobby. Staff barely spoke English but willing to help. Room was dirty (wall and floor).

convenient location”
Super 8 is a group of hotels in many places in China. This one in special is one of the worse hotel. At the website you find photos very old, I believe they were taken just a few days from the organização. My room was terrible, the wallpaper was very old and alread tering off, the shower couldn't be fixed at wall, the stand was broken. the furniture damaged and the location was in a Hutong.

Super 8 Dong Si”
it's hot that day, but when we came into the room, after turned on the air condition, the room became cool in a few minutes. the room is small though. when i used the mirror in bathroom, i felt too dark, so i called, the worker showed up right away to chang a more powerful light for me. that was very appreciated.

Nice location but very dirty walls-carpets”
The economy room is a dump with very dirty walls and carpets. The luxury room is 50% more expensive but worth the price since they have wooden (not real) floor and the roon is more spacious and clean. Amazingly the entrance of the hotels walls are also broken and dirty which make us wonder about the quality standard of this hotels!!! The customer service was ok except it was difficult to talk to the manager. One of the guy at the check Inn was also very careless and lazy and could not find our reservation. He was unrespectful and fortunately the girl next to him had a brain and solve the problem in a minute. Finally I have seen many Chinese economy hotel and this is the worst after tang Yue unless you take the luxury room which make you forget about the dirty entrance. Wireless is available at the lobby..

Good location with eateries and subway nearby.”
1st night king bed standard room, noisy neigbours quarrelling and crying out loud. very disturbing. 2nd night moved to deluxe king room, much better and very quiet. walking distance to subway make travelling very convenient. eateries round the corner of hotel provides good affordable meals. hotel not visible from main road, must lug luggage abt 50 meters in from side road. overall, okay for budget travellers.
