Very Nice/Helpful/Honest Owner / Good Location”
You get what you pay for BUT here you get a very nice/helpful/honest owner who speaks good English (I don’t think her parents speak any though) and will help you in any way she can – that can be worth a lot if you DON’T speak Chinese. The location is also good as it’s a couple of minutes’ walk from the nearest metro station – just look for a door leading to stairs right by a local burger chain outlet that’s below the hostel. Otherwise and since you are only paying $5-6 a night, don’t expect a real mattress here as it’s basically just a thin cushion on the beds. There are two toilets (one squat and the other western) and two showers for all the dorm rooms – this wouldn’t be enough in the hot summer or if everyone woke up at once and wanted a morning shower (so plan accordingly). Hot water was hot enough and the place was clean by Chinese hostel standards, but there was not always toilet paper in the toilets. There is a water dispenser downstairs for hot/cold water and I am sure you can ask the owner to borrow a glass/mug. Internet generally worked well here even with VPN in the lounge area as I could upload a lot of pictures. However, some of the wall plugs (including the one above my bed) were a bit shoddy or loose as I could not always plug something in and keep it charged/charging. If you don’t read Chinese, the area can be a bit of a wasteland for food. You will need to walk over to the Pingjiang Lu (Road) area where there are more foreign tourists (as even the central shopping area of the city doesn’t seem to have places with menus in English or pictures – unless you want Pizza Hut/KFC as they are on every street corner). There is an old tea house called Pin Von (can be googled) on that road along the canal with a good menu (the order form is Chinese/English) as well as one with pictures/English. Good for the price paid!”
For the pretty low price paid it was a good value! I had a single room and stayed for 3 nights. Staff was friendly and allowed me to switch rooms because one was facing the street and a little noisy. They also have free purified drinking water which is nice. Staff is super friendly and can help you plan your itinerary and give you suggestions. Hostel is in a great location! ~10 minute walk to Ping Jiang Lu, Guan Qian Jie, and a 5 minute walk to the subway station.

Small cozy place”
the entrance gate is a small blue door next to the hamburger shop, and yes at first it is hard to find but then everything is fine, staffs are friendly, the location is good just 5 minutes walk from a subway, the surrounding is good, you can walk to the street walk or the malls.

Excellent hostel”
I really enjoyed staying at this hostel. The location is super convenient, the room was clean, the bed and pillows are comfortable, the shower is good and the common area is lovely, although small. The only problem I can recall was a bad smell coming out of the toilet drain on the first day, and the toilet itself was quite small. Apart from that, I truly recommend the hostel.

Great location and friendly staff”
Great hostel and super friendly, English-speaking staff. The place is five mins from the metro and really close to the Master of Nets garden. They have breakfast, snack foods and good wifi which is convenient on a rainy day!

Close to main tourist attractions ”
The hostel is at a convenient location close to the main tourist attractions such as the Humble Administrator's Garden and Pingjiang road. Getting to the main train station or bus station for going to other cities in china is also easy.

Lovely Host with fresh Yangshuo lake Crab”
Arrived just in time to have dinner with host - the Crab was most fresh and delicious, simply dipped with vinegar! Simple accommodations within walking distance to the PingJiang walking streets - a MUST visit at night or day.

Direction link given in the Agoda Apps is WRONG”
Agoda gave wrong map direction resulting in the taxi driver simply dropped us off somewhere. Without realizing the gps error, we continued to use the map direction and ended up in a primary school! We had to ask many passerby but many were not familiar until one kind young man assisted us...by then, we had walked a very very long distance with our big luggage before we reached the hostel. On the room, it was not ready at 4pm when we arrived! We had to wait before we can check in. The room is so small and basic with no soap or shampoo provided, may be because it was cheap..but that's the basic that does not cost much. There is no lift, so think twice if you have big luggage as the staircase is narrow and steep. We had to carry three big luggage bag up to 3rd floor. Luckily the owner helped to carry my girl's luggage bag. It is more suitable for backpacker or solo traveler.

Good”
Pros: Close to the metro (5 minutes walk) and easy to wander around the area alone and explore. The owner is very sweet and pleasant to talk to. There is an adorable puppy who lives there, who was happy to sit at my feet and get attention all evening. Wifi was working very well for me. There are places to get food nearby if one wants. Cons: The place is in a rundown building, the bathrooms could use some redoing, and the room was small. I was alone, so it was fine, but if it had been full, I would have been uncomfortable. There's not really a place to undress for the shower, unless you get into the shower itself and close the door - and same for getting dressed - clothes will get wet. Towels are not provided unless you want to pay extra, which is kind of annoying - generally people don't travel with towels unless heading to water activities. No free water bottles, though as I was leaving they just got a new machine so you could probably fill up your own.

It’s okay”
The location is quite good as it’s in the old town and close to the subway station. Hostel’s atmosphere is very friendly and warm, you will get a chance to communicate and share your experience with many foreigners if possible. Something terrible is that the smell is little but unbearable in the bedroom, and the toilet door couldn’t lock. And the public restroom first floor is little cold, there is just one heating system in the corner which doesn’t work so well to maintain the whole space warm in the winter night.

Location good easy to find”
Overall are good and i book 2 rooms. My parents room had face some problem with the bathroom. when midnight the bathroom had very awful smelly cannot use it and need close bathroom door tightly. Owner have try to slove but still hv smelly.

Hotel is no longer existing do not book it”
This hotel was a complete desaster. It was closed for good since more than a week and they never informed me. I had to get a different hotel for my family and was lucky that kind Chinese lady help me on the weekend Do not book this hotel Also Chinese police wanted to help but since I made no prepayment I was not eager to make a formal accusation against the hostel
