What a lovely night at Grey Street Hotel - such welcoming staff and we loved our rooms! Got a bargain as booked during lockdown but would love to come back and try the food at LeilaLilly - the cocktails were amazing 🤩 the best in toon !

Great boutique hotel right in Newcastle city centre. Good value hotel which was spotless. No bar or restaurant during our stay due to refurbishment other wise no complaints. Some floors are not accessible directly via lift so had to carry bags down some stairs.

Refurbishment”

The hotel is currently undergoing refurbishment, so there temporarily was no lift or air or kitchen. However, once these are resolved it will be a superb hotel in a superb location. Even considering the refurbishment, it was a great stay, and the hotel is an historic wonder.

Staff tried to be very helpful. They lacked sufficient knowledge with regard to tourist attractions. I found the mattress a little too soft, but otherwise was very comfortable. I enjoyed the interesting old historic building.

i just love everything about this hotel.the double room is very spacious and the bed is absolutely lush to sleep on.quality toiletries with top quality still water were provided.pet friendly even gave my chihuahua conplimentary treats.just wonderful.air conditioning is a super plus.

Small rooms but very clean. Location is perfect. Nice interior design. However the left is too small to fit luggage with people and those steps every where is enoying especially when carrying luggage.

The location of this hotel is near the centre of Newcastle and is in walking distance of clubs and restaurants. The room a friend and myself stayed in (26) was amazing. There was plenty of space to put our belongings. The bathroom was also very good. We received a bottle of complimentary water in our rooms as well. Overall, this hotel left a good impression and I would stay here again.

There was no breakfast available in the hotel but there were plenty of places to eat nearby. Tea and coffee making facilities were provided in the room.

On arrival to our room pieces of other peoples luggage was already in the room. I rang reception and he asked us to trail back to reception again with our luggage, only to tell us to go back to the same room and wait until a porter to come and remove the luggage. Air conditioning very poor and noisy. We had no toilet tissue and had to get some from the cleaners cupboard. At breakfast there was only one member of staff doing everything apart from cooking the breakfast. We have stayed here before but found this time it to be very disappointing.

Excellent position, nice staff. Rooms looking a little 'tired' - needs a makeover. Lacked a comfortable chair in the room. However, it is still a very nice experience to stay there

Such lovely, friendly staff that helped us with directions etc! Would definitely recommend, especially to couples as it's such an amazing place to stay. It's local and everything is in walking distance from it. Such an amazing experience at this hotel. I would definitely recommend.
