A Quiet Oasis”
Viewing the Ta Kloy Tip for the first time the thought occurred to me that the pool and pleasant garden enclosed by bungalows with the low-rise accommodation block to the south was a quiet oasis in the encroaching tourist urbanization. We decided on a short four night stay in a Classic Double Room in the 'block'. Although the room was small with a couple of minor maintenance issues (the bathroom door handle was broken and the extractor fan didn't work ) we were more than compensated with the quality of the air conditioning/ fan, the good fridge/freezer and the comfortable bed. The pool had sufficient sunloungers and was adequate for a cooling dip. Reasonably priced cold drinks can be purchased from receception but for eating you walk to the nearby restaurants. The location is Otres Village so the the roads are still dirt tracks and the beach is a little distance away but worthwhile for the cleanliness of the seawater. I'll book a longer break next time at one of the bungalows.

The bungalow.. ”
Staff were very friendly and helpful. The bungalow was just fine. But the bathroom smells funny and the surrounding is still under construction. Location, it's about 15 min ride tuktuk to the town.

tiny and expensive ”
On the pro side: all facilities were present and the staff was very helpful. The negative side is however dominant. The room was 3.5 m x 3.5 m, incl bathroom and bed. It was located 200 m away from the casino and the brothel. The streets were full of potholes and covered with a yellow dust that covered our feet and noses. The beach was ridden with plastic garbage. Chinese investors are building a new Macao. There's really no point going there.

Acceptable”
How you can even advertise this place I fail to understand. It beggars belief that any one would want to stay there. Smelly, rusty frig, unable to get out of the bed because it was virtually touching both walls. We were booked in for four nights but didn’t stay one and lost all our money. Sihanoukville itself is a total crap hole with building going on every where. The place has been invaded by Chinese who are bulding casinos and hotels galore all, I should imagine for the Chinese. There are currently 16 casinos and more to come. Overall don’t come to Sihanoukville unless you are staying at somewhere like the Sokha Beach resort and whatever yo7 do don’t stay at the Ta Kloy Tip as it takes after its name.

Nice location, great staff”
We booked a bungalow, it was very clean and spacious and had a nice little terrace with table and chairs. The bungalows are situated right by the pool which is great. The staff were super friendly and very knowledgeable, they helped us getting around in Otres village and booking tuk tuks, and they recommended and booked our bus for us to go to Phnom Penh at the end of our stay. We liked the location of Ta Kloy Tip as it has lots of restaurant options nearby (the restaurant at Boho hostel is a great option, right next to the bungalows), and it's a 5 minute walk to Otres beach. The beach is nice and quiet however if you walk a bit further along towards Otres Beach 2, you will find loads of restaurant options with music and sunbeds. All in all a great experience and would definitely recommend Ta Kloy Tip if you are staying in Otres!

Great place, loved it although the construction next door was loud early in the morning ”
Ta Kloy Tip is fantastic I loved it, the bungalow rooms were clean, pool is beautiful, grounds are well kept, location is fab and the staff were great. Dexter in reception was always eager to help and couldn’t rate him high enough. Would definitely stay again. My only complaint and admittedly it’s from next door and not Tak Kloy Tip, is the noise from the early morning construction. It started some mornings at 6am or earlier and I found it very hard to sleep. It did finish on most days within a few hours and probably didn’t affect all the bungalows. Ours was just one of the unlucky ones. Hopefully it finishes soon. I suggest either provide ear plugs to guests, bring your own or possibly drop the price as a small compensation for the unlucky bungalow guests. I’ll bring ear plugs next time :-)

we had a wonderful stay in Ta Kloy Tip. The room is very cosy and clean with a comfortable balcony. There's a swimming pool in the yard of the hotel and the greenery makes a nice view. We really enjoy the days in Otres village and the 2 owners of the hotel are super helpful and friendly.!! Highly recommend.

Lots to Offer”
Ta Kloy Tip Bungalows are at Otres beach which is further out of Sihanoukville than I had thought. However, it is a little place of its own and very different from Sihanoukville, but has a character of its own. The bungalows are situated a five minute walk from the beach. Within the very well kept grounds of the bungalow is a very nice, clean pool with lots of space and sun-chairs. I only had contact with one member of staff who was very pleasant and helpful. The room I had (cheapest) was very small with a huge bed. Those proportions felt wrong; moving around the room was awkward. If the bed had been a bit smaller there would have been a lot less 'climbing' to move around the room perhaps? But, maybe people like a huge bed! Everything else in the room was great - kettle, tea, coffee, toiletries etc and all very clean. I visited in the rainy season and so it rained. This meant the streets around Otres were quite muddy - navigating around big puddles was quite interesting. Lovely

A great place to stay in Otres Village close to the best beach and away from Sihanoukville”
We stayed here for 5 nights in the middle of December in a Classic Double Room on the top floor of the tower, room 222. We really enjoyed both the place and our room. We liked: The Room - comfy bed, fridge, AC and great view. Close to the beach - Just a ~5 minutes walk to the empty part of the 3 km long Otres beach. After visiting most beaches around we still felt this was the best one. Really Quiet - the location is really quiet at night with no traffic and no people. The Pool - small but very, very nice. The Air condition and Fan - the option of both is a great thing to have. The Fridge - Brilliant to have a small fridge & freezer in your room. The View - is great from the balcony and the roof top terrace over the surrounding fields with cows and chickens, and the waterfront. Drinking Water - 2 free bottles of water daily is great. Room Cleaning - daily but only if we wanted to. Could have been better: A Table - would have been great for the not so sunny days to have somewhere to sit in the room other than the bed. The Bathroom - is the Cambodian shower and toilet in one type, everything gets wet when showering. There was also a smell coming from the sewage that wasn't pleasant, that's the 4 start on cleanness. Missing Rooftop Sun Chairs - on the rooftop, it would have been great to have some sun- and normal chairs with tables to sit at. Now it is only used to dry washing. No Food Served - no food/snacks offered instead they recommend going to the next door BOHO Hostel but this is a quite expensive place, 2.5$ for iced coffee with sweet milk. Jin, 300 meters away is a better option. Green Lantern is the best around, by far, but they don't serve breakfast. Sihanoukville is Far - this is not a great place for discovering the city since it is about 1 hour away walking there on the beach. Lunch/Dinner is Far - there are not a lot of good eateries around here except for the Green Lantern. Development Area - they are building everywhere around here and if you want to

Faultless”
We stayed here for 4x nights in one of the rooms in the main building. Value for money was excellent and the manager (didn't actually get his name) was incredibly helpful and friendly, made us feel very welcome. Location in Otres Village is great, close to restaurants/shops/beach and Sihanoukville is accessed easily by one of the mopeds for rent through the hotel ($5)

You get what you have paid for! The room was nice - the bed very good. the door to the outside was difficult to lock, and the bathroom very simple. Because of the bad entering doors mosquitos come in easily. So please bring your anti mosquito things with you. I put it into the electricity and they were gone ;) The only staff there who can talk English, a man (unfortunately I didn't ask for his name) made my check in and also check out, he called me a taxi and he was very very friendly and helpfully! Wonderful! 5 stars for that man. So next time in Sihanoukville Otres I would definitifly stay there again. Nice restaurants are very close to that place - about 1-2min walking.

Amazing”
A decent place in Otres Village. Just a 5-minute walk to Otres Beach. The room was exceptional with a comfy bed. I like how there are buffaloes in your backyard and during sunset, the view is phenomenal. You can just grab a seat at the rooftop and smoke and drink until the sun goes down. Met some friendly neighbours as well. Not forgetting to mention that the guy who was handling the reception is very polite towards the people who stay there. Always on the ball when anybody enters the shop.

If you have the money, go for the bungalow it's worth it. We downgraded after two nights to save money, and the cheap rooms are teeny tiny. The bungalow however is very nice, with a cute little porch, good air con, nicer bathroom. Pool is ok, loud construction outside so that's kind of a bummer. A 10 min walk to otres beach which we didn't mind at all.

Nice and clean!”
Currently there's construction work next door. Not noisy at night so unless you are staying in the room during the day, so it may be an inconvenience. Staff was very helpful with ticket for ferry and other stuffs. Swimming pool was nice as well and view was nice. Beach was just 10 mins walk away. Be sure to bring face mask as the main roads are quite dusty (unpaved). Would definitely come back here if I have another trip here in Sihanoukville.

Really good value for what you get! ”
Air con worked really well and the room was only 55 dollars for 3 nights which was really good for when I was there. Pool is also very nice. Hot water was good. Wanted to extend an additional night but it was sold out. This place is good and quiet location and an easy walk to the beach and otres market. Highly recommend this place!

You can get something nicer for the same price”
If you want to stay at Ta Kloy Tip, invest some more money into one of the bungalows, as the rooms on first and second floor (Standard Double Room) are less than standard. Small, poorly furnished and honestly not very clean. We changed room after one night because the sink and the toilet seat were lose, bathroom was smelly and rain came through the door from the nightly storm. The second room's bed was not clean at all, yellow stains on the sheet, uncomfortable feeling as the mattress was still in its plastic covers, and rain still came into our room from outside. Service was not very nice, but I guess the guy was just obeying to orders from his boss, so he's not to blame. Road to the guesthouse is not paved, so really bumpy and muddy. I think you get better value for your money elsewhere.

Far from center but Otres beach is beautiful and around have reasonable resraurant”
Room small, poor small. but you get what you pay so I feel OK. Don't service food, you have to walk but around have some good restaurant. Can rent motor bike for going around if you want. Otres beach is beautiful and don't have much people so you can enjoy it. the price is also cheapper.
