One of the best values in Beijing”
Our stay at the Tangla was very nice. The staff was professional during our entire stay. The room was very well appointed and extremely comfortable. We spent the majority of the day in bed because of the weather. The bathroom was stunning, much better than the one at the Shangri-La (which is 3 times as expensive). The bed wasn't the largest, but it was very comfortable. All in all, the room was decorated very nicely with everything seemingly new. The one thing that was a disappointment was that there was no DVD player. We wanted to go swimming, but the pool's water was being switched. While that was also a disappoint, it was good to know that they at least change their water. The fitness room had newer equipment. The spa was nice, but the prices are outrageous, as is the case with most nice hotels in Beijing. If you are looking for a massage, there was a nice one about 5 minutes away that was only 128RMB for a 2 hour foot and back oil massage. We also walked around looking at the restaurants... they all looked very nice, but at the time we didn't have the appetites to handle a large and expensive dinner. Instead, we ordered room service later on at around 10pm. The service time was fine. She had a linguine dish, while I ordered an omelette. Hers was very good, mine was just so-so. For the price, its what you would expect. It wasn't a complete rip-off, but you could definitely get a better meal outside for a lot cheaper. All in all, we had a very good experience at the hotel. While it would have been nice to go swimming, that was pretty much our only complaint. For the price, it is definitely one of the best values in Beijing. We stayed over at the Winterless Hotel before, and for the same price it does not compare to the Tangla. If we ever want to be in this neighborhood of Beijing again, we would definitely pick this place again.

Unbelievable hotel with convenience location”
Even though I have a hard time going through their hotel main web site for more information of this hotel, but I trusted its location and the photos on agoda for this hotel and book this hotel. hotel room is clean, service is great, perfect location considered that the western financial district was closed by and the subway station is just around the corner. big shopping mall right besides the hotel with supermarket available. national museum on the opposite side. hotel is easy to fine and in high quality under such price.

Tangla Hotel is far better than any UK Hotels I stay in . The staff are friendly and the room was very nice with good view . Bathroom high standard . Mostly I slept very well in the very nice bed . only downside was the fridge was not working .

Tangla hotel is a very modern hotel with friendly staff. The rooms were big and very comfortable.The hotel is not located in the district which has all the main hotels and shops.however it has one supermarket next door which was very helpful for getting our daily needs.Whenever we were picked up for our tours we the first ones picked up and the last ones to get back.it would have been faster to get back on the underground railway

Lovely Hotel, Great Location, Lousy Staff”
The hotel was great for leisure and work - the desk was much appreciated as I managed to get a couple of half-days of work in. The hotel's Internet was rubbish though, so we relied on mobile broadband. Desk chair was also way too low to use, so the extra pillows about the room proved useful. As in most upmarket Chinese hotels, don't touch anything in the bar or take any more water than the free bottles, unless you're on an expense account & don't particularly care for your employers. Everythng in the room can be had on the street below for 1/4 the price or less. Staff were completely indifferent. In one occasion I asked the concierge for a small cardboard box. He spent about three minutes then suggested I go down the street to the post office. He could have run to his kitchen and fetched one for me, but really didn't care to. In another instance we entered our room to find one if our (unopenable) windows was open, a window handle (not supplied with the room) was on the floor, and the room had a faint odor of cigarette smoke. I called the front desk, but they didn't send any ome up. I corralled some maintenance staff in the hall who at best offered to change our room. No apologies, no indication that this wasn't just standard practice. Back to the pros, there's a spectacular museum across the street, and the neighborhood has a number of great restaurants. We didn't eat in the hotel, as it was seriously overpriced, but local restaurants (where no English was spoken) were patient and accommodating of our pointing at menu items and use of an online translation tool.

Nice luxury hotel ”
very nice looking lobby, nice deluxe room - hotel is very clean, free mineral water was provided every single day we stayed there. close to city metro (muxidi station) and mcdonalds (15号 fuxingmen outer street) is not very far away (however i enjoyed local food in the same building's 5th floor - you have to buy a card and load money on it). would recommend this hotel to anyone - remember to use agoda special deals - this will save you a lot. not all staff speaks english, but they are nice, friendly and will assist you when needed.

We called it "our sanctuary"”
After staying is some lesser places in Beijing we found a decent special for this hotel and stayed there for 3 nights. The room was a really great place to get away from the crowds and relax on the super comfortable bed. The shower has a rain-water shower head additional to the usual head so that was really nice touch also. My lady really enjoyed have a bubble bath in the full size tub after a long day walking around in the polluted air battling the crowds. There are some international management staff here and I feel that the stay here was excellent.

Very good stay, comfortable room, good connections in terms of Transport to the major parts of Beijing. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bit disappointed in the restaurant, had one meal, np prices on menu, drinks expensive, although food was good. Best bit was the local surrounding restaurants, all styles and cuisines. Cheap, and great if you like eating 'local' all within walking distance, although tucked away off the main drag. Great stay, even the smog wasn't too bad

Very good hotel by Chinese Standards”
Once on the maniland away from HK and SHanghai hotel standards really drop and a 5 start hotel is often only a 3-4 star hotel. The tangla is a 4 start hotel in every respect except coffee which is crap. It is incredible how coffee can be preapred in powdered form with powdered subsittute milk and passed off for coffee! I think hotels in china should be much cheapr as well since they pay a fraction of the salary costs and food costs as overseas so it is unjuistifable that costs can begin to approach western hotels for example. I am told locals get to pay significantly less.

great location with small rooms ”
the hotel is centrally located which means that a taxi ride to your supplier/vendor is not too long ; though i could never understand as to why the taxi drivers could never locate the hotel easily . the room was small but for a single person is ok ; this room is not advisable if you are 2 or 3 persons for all those who are not fond of chinese food , it would be worthwhile to add that there is a mcdonald right next to the hotel. this hotel is close (5 km) to tianamenon square and forbidden city . overall a decent stay.

Great hotel and facilities, not the restaurants”
stayed here for a few nights on my first trip to beijing. walking distance from the subway, this hotel was really nice both for location and facilities. however, the restaurants were a total disappointment. the staff of the chinese and japanese restaurants spoke almost no english. the food was overpriced and not very good, especially in the main restaurant. other than that it's a perfectly lovely hotel.

It was a stop over night in Beijing, the hotel's location is amazing, just near by the central of the City, and walk 5 mins there was a big shopping center, it was easy to find local restaurant, the subway station just 10 mins walking distance, everything is good.

Excellent Hotel - Good value for money”
thoroughly enjoyed this hotel and would recommend staying here.staff were friendly. i used the swimming pool and gym during my stay and enjoyed the opportunity to do so. room was so relaxing and comfortable. unfortunately didn't have a chance to enjoy the restaurant but the coffee lounge on ground floor was good. certainly would stay here again.underground was nearby and easy to use. only downside but this is common in most hotels in china is having to always go down to the lobby to use wi - fi. would be much more convienent if one could have a connection in the room .

stayed two days. soft bed. great bathroom. pretty reasonable prices if you get a discount. great location, less than 5 minutes to the subway stop. across the street is a supermarket for anything you could need in case of emergency. worth it. its also across from the art museum and there are some really nice buddhist statues there if you are into that.

New hotel in great location ”
Location: Is located at the west side of the city, right opposite capital museum and a shopping mall . MRT station is just less than 5 mins walk. Hotel: A hotel managed by Hainai group which is rather reputable, the entire experience was good, reception was attentive. Room: Huge bathroom, clean room with contemporary design. For entertainment, there are several international channels including my favour channels - Channelnewsasia and AXN.
