In short, the Crystal Resort is a place I would revisit for accommodation. I stayed in the Royal Suite. This trip was a last-minute decision, and I was not sure if it would happen. I booked the Crystal Resort with the intention of trying it out, and it was my first time staying on the side of the Ita Thao Pier. From the moment I booked the room, I felt the attentive service of the Crystal Resort. They proactively called to confirm my information (as I had only provided my English name on Agoda), and sent a text message a day in advance to inform me of the parking location. They even called me before my arrival, which allowed me to enter vacation mode early. The best thing about the Crystal Resort is its location facing the harbor. Standing on the balcony of the Royal Suite and looking north, the scenery of Sun Moon Lake is breathtaking. The view changes in the morning and evening, and at night, the lights of the Water Social Pier on the opposite shore reflect on the lake. The ever-changing scenery alone is worth the price. The Crystal Resort's parking lot is a bit far from the hotel, but they offer golf cart shuttle service. The hotel also provided me with detailed and professional advice on suitable tourist spots when I called in advance. From check-in to check-out, the hotel's accommodation conditions were very satisfactory. There are fewer nighttime activities at the Ita Thao Pier, and it is very quiet after 9 pm. This allowed my spouse and me to enjoy rare relaxation in the city, sitting on the balcony and gazing across the lake. The Crystal Resort's top floor has an observation deck, but the reinforced glass fence installed for safety is a bit of an eyesore. However, on clear nights, you can come up and see the stars. The hotel's breakfast is in buffet style, with limited options and average taste, but the food's flavor and freshness are not a problem. The bathroom is separated into wet and dry areas, with a separate shower and toilet. The massage bathtub is located outside the shower area. If you stay on a higher floor, you can open the sliding door and enjoy the lake view without the risk of being seen. The only thing that made me uncomfortable was the arrangement of the mirrors in the bathroom. If you close the partition door, the side facing the bathtub is all mirrors, and the infinite reflection space created by the opposite mirror made me very uncomfortable. However, this is not a serious problem, and opening the door will alleviate the oppressive feeling. The toilet is fully automatic, with a self-opening lid, automatic flushing, and a heated seat, which is very convenient. Unfortunately, I cannot adapt to the hotel's automatic toilet, which is a personal habit and not related to the hotel. The equipment's cleanliness and arrangement are average. Overall, the Crystal Resort is well-maintained for a hotel that has been around for over ten years. The equipment in the hotel is reassuring in terms of both condition and cleanliness. If there is one minor flaw, it is that the bath towels and towels are a bit old and worn, but they are clean. For those who want to enjoy the lake view in addition to sightseeing, the Crystal Resort is an excellent choice. Finally, for friends who have read this long article, I offer one or two small suggestions. Most of the shops at the Ita Thao Pier close before 7 pm (8 pm during summer and holidays), so please make sure to plan your dinner accordingly. The hotel is not very big. When checking in, the reserved room had an issue with the electricity, and although the staff tried to fix it, they were not successful. We booked the Sun room and it was spacious (50sqm). Main highlight for our toddler is the jacuzzi bathtub. Sun room does not face the lake. If we wanted to upgrade to lakeside view we had to pay more, but staff kindly gave us corner room on a high floor so we have a partial view of the lake from the window. The hotel is situated right next to Ita Thao street market. This is very lively compared to the Shuishe Pier location. In my opinion better to stay at this part of the lake. But that means from Shuishe you got to take a public bus/boat to get here. We opted for the boat cruise experience. It is also near bike rental shop and the ropeway/cable car. Staffs were friendly and spoke decent English. We can borrow DVDs at the lobby and it was a good idea to entertain kiddo at night. Cleanliness of the room was okay. The staff met our requests for additional towels, et. But we notice that they do not clean the elevator everyday. Breakfast was so so. the staffs are very friendly and gave us various recommendations to try save us time and money. they also response fast through Agoda when i message them my need to reserve a room with 2 beds as i am sharing the room with a friend of mine. the facility exceeded my expectations as I believe they recently renovated the place. People may not be cool with the open design of the toilet plus bath but I am fine as my friend and i knew each other for long and we can accommodate the fact that our privacy is literally only protected by a curtain between the main room and the toilet as long as we arrange ourselves well when we use the facility. The hotel is located just next to the pier which is very convenient indeed.

From the check-in to check-out, all went well. Professional and courteous ready to help. The suite was very nice, lots of light and great views of the Lake. Bedding was perfect, very comfy. We rented electric bike just behind the hotel and we did a great ride. The gondola is very close. 5 minute walk. Included breakfast was generous and we also dined at the hotel in the first night. Tasty and price reasonably.
