              Rosie is a star”

              Rosie (the owner) was just so welcoming and thoughtful - thanks Rosie! The location is good, a 5 min walk to the beach. There aren’t a great number of places for dinner on the island, so being close to Ma Ruby’s is another plus. Overall a great value option on an expensive island.
              No frills, but then you’re not paying for them.

              Hotels are mostly very expensive. For the careful resourceful tourist this is a good alternative.”

              Its an ordinary self catering suite in an ordinary house in an ordinary location - nothing swish or smart - but it was a comfortable nicely furnished suite. The owner was very friendly and helpful and though that wasn&#39;t part of the deal cooked me breakfast (using my eggs and bread) but adding her papayas and tomatoes . As a good value base to explore Harbour Island it ticked the box. Don&#39;t expect anything fancy but you will be looked after. The beach is walking distance ( and it is lovely) Downtown is 3&#47;4 of a mile. I hired a golf cart to get around.
