Tianhe District-Zhujiang New Town hotels & places to stay

Hlife Hotel is one of the best hotels I ever stayed in Guangzhou. Located at Kingold Century Plaza and just opposite Grand Hyatt hotel. Everything feels really new and clean. Great location at a nice area of new town, just few mins walking distance to Zhujiang New Town Station inside G.T. Land Plaza. Great service!! The people at Hlife are SUPER NICE! 1. When I checked into my room, the shower room frosted glass door was not tightly fixed in place and couldn't shut properly. Called the reception counter, in less than 2 mins, the technician came to fix it. 2. Big Thank You to Ethan (Hotel receptionist) , he helped us to arrange a delivery of a parcel to our agent in Dongguan. Even went down and deliver it himself. And also called a cab for us to the airport. Really appreciate it. 3. Every morning I walked out my room, everyone smiles at you and said "Good Morning". I'll definitely recommend this place to others, and will definitely come back when I'm in town.

i went to guangzhou for chilam's concert and got a great deal from agoda. decided to book at leeden hotel based on good reviews and location. it is located at quiet cbd area, just 5min walk to zhujiang new town metro station-line 3. very convenient as i took metro from airport with journey less than 45min at 8rmb, and 20min at 5rmb to xiangjiang safari park. nice surprise when i entered the room, really big and clean. soothing music in the bathroom (not to worry as the music stopped at night); bed was comfortable and slept through the night. overall service was good except front desk. i had initally booked 2 nights from 1-3 dec and extended another night from 3-4 dec. i did remind the front desk but my room card was activated for 2 nights only. i was locked out when i returned to my room on 3 dec evening. but they rectified the situation quickly and had the housekepper to open the door and deliver a new card to me. the shock came when i checked out. my room was prepaid and the rookie, unsured of the procedure, consulted her supervisor. to my great dismay, she actuall said 'let her go'. i am a hotel guest who speaks cantonese too. evidently the hotel needs to train the staff and improve the front desk service. nevertheless, a wonderful stay at leeden hotel and highly recommended.

The location consider easy access by Metro. Take the line 3 from airport to the Zhujiang New Town and change to line 5 for one station to Liede Station, it only cost RMB8 for the cost, its cheap! I forgot what exit to go out from the Liede station but you can always ask the Metro staff there. after out from the station, turn right and walk 2 min and then turn right again and walk 5 min to a big cross juction, go staight for a min then you should see the hotel at your right hand side. Its a service apartment type of hotel, so the room its kinda big, the bed its comfort and soft, the in room wifi is fast, the aircon is cool and you can change to heater if you need it. the water presure in the bathroom is very strong, is good after a tired day. overall, i like this hotel and will come back again.

Vanburgh hotel is a great option specially for the business traveler. The internet service is reasonable, except for the usual problems with the internet in China. The breakfast buffet is honest with some options for the continental breakfast seekers. The hotel is brand new so all the installations are perfect. Nice vanity kit in the rooms and also great bed ware. Worth the visit.

Plus: Located in Tianhe district, new area, perfect for those who like city life. Cafe, bar, bistro are just 10 mins walk. I stayed in executive 2 bedrooms, they claim its 100m2, and i think its very spacious. Good location to enjoy morning walk :) Not a crowded area. Minus: No cooking utensils, not even a knife or a dining spoon (u have to contact the housekeeping). Just a kitchen with a fridge and teacups set. I asked for microwave or cooking pan but they would charge me more. 1 bathroom only :( Only a few public transportation line, we took taxi most of the time No international TV channel If you like the feel of China town, this is not the right choice

Located within walking distance to many eateries. 10 mins walk to the nearest metro Zhujiang New town. The lady that handled my check in was friendly and professionally well trained. Very observant fast to attend to my request and did not failed to provide the consistent quality service, which is beyond my expectation after seeing many bad comments here. Booked the 3 rooms apartment for 3 pax, the bed were really comfortable. Washer & Dryer were really convenient since we didn't bring a lot of clothes. And also helped us to hire a cab for us to the airport. Really appreciate it This hotel is by far the best hotel for it's price. Will stay here again in future.

Overall, the place is good. Located conveniently about 10 minutes walk from Liede MRT station. The neighbourhood is new and clean, with tall skyscapers and huge pedestrian walkways. There is a mall nearby, and a few small eateries. The reception counter is at level 12, and the ground floor reception isn't always friendly to help, so you may need to have a China mobile line to contact the receptionist at level 12 to pick you up from the lobby. An access card is given to operate the lift in the building to your unit. The unit itself is huge, tastefully decorated and well equipped. The only complaint is water pressure is not good enough for my shower room. You may leave your luggage at level 12 reception after checkout and they're open 24 hours. Take note though that you would have returned your access card to the reception during checkout, so you may experience inconvenience getting help to access level 12 again to collect your luggage. People there generally have the "that is your own problem" attitude if it's not within their job scope.

beautiful hotel with friendly staff. love their breakfast buffet the most. one of the best i've ever had among all other 5 stars hotel i've been to. it offer a very wide range of food, from the most traditional chinese dish, japanese dish, to continental dish, all are very tasty too. many other countries can do well in their own dish but not of the others. ritz carlton gz did exceptional well in both the east and west dishes. very impressive!!

I booked a deluxe suite and was given a business room (downgrade) the reason was because I booked online at a cheaper price and if I wanted the deluxe suite that I had BOOKED I had to pay them more! Terrible! The staff wake you up at midnight to fix the neighbors WIFI! Yet you can not get the wifi to work in your own room! There is barely any hot water! The room cleaners did a great job and the room was always very clean that is the positive feedback that I have!

First of all this apartment is very hard to locate for the taxi driver. There is no any signage, is basically a residential apartment area. We got stop by the security when we are trying to locate the apartment and finally explained to them they let us in and manage to find the check in counter which located on the 8th floor on one of the block. When check in they don't need any identification or deposit, only booking confirmation will do. Check out process, you just need to leave the access card on your room and they will come and collect. We book a 3 room & 2 room apartment and how pathetic is that, they only provide 3 towel for a 3 room apartment for 6 person? Really?? Our living room is rather dark because only 2 lights available. Also there is only 1 bathroom for a 3 room apartment (6 person) can you imagine the duration and also nightmare when someone occupying the bathroom and the other having stomach ache. There is a MRT station less than 10 mins walk. Wil not stay here again

Stay at Wealth Century was ok for the 4 nights i am there with mishaps on the 2nd night and 3rd night. Its basically a place for a sleep in without the frills and fuss. Check all your facilities to make sure it is working. we had 3 rooms, mine was the worse. Faulty auto toilet seats, no supply of washing powder, ran out of toilet paper. But yeah... all my travel mates had to sleep without bathing, after our shopping with all the grime and sweat and there was nothing that the reception can do or help us out since the maintenance is carried out by the management of the building.

I stayed for three nights on the 95th floor and the views from my room of the Guangzhou skyline was absolutely amazing. The room was spacious and comfortable although the air conditioning tends to run a little warm for my liking. Nevertheless, the hotel staff were pleasant and courteous whenever I interacted with them. Unfortunately, I weren't able to sample the dining options at the hotel but I was able to visit Tian Bar during my visit and the drinks accompanied with the views were worthwhile. Can't wait to stay again upon my next return to Guangzhou!

Great place if you are a semi-budget traveler & if you are visiting the China Import & Export Fair (Canton Fair). The room I stayed in was a loft with the bed on the higher lever and living room, kitchenette and bathroom on the lower level. The room is modern with big screen Smart TV, 2 AC's and a washing machine. The furnishings are new and modern. Pro's: Good price Close proximity to Canton Fair Free Breakfast Modern self sufficient rooms Con's: Not luxurious Limited English skills from Front Staff Small Bathrooms - Also had a cockroach problem Bad Internet connection Conclusion - If you want luxury, this is not the place. However, it is a very practical place to stay in Guangzhou. I will stay again if I am travelling solo, but not if I am holidaying or visiting with Family.
