Quite Satisfied”

I live up country and go to Pakse for a bit of R & R and am working my way through the 4 star hotels of Pakse. Not done Le Jardain yet but so far this is the best. They all have good and poor points. The room here was the best and the staff are excellent. The breakfast was OK and the hotel could do with making part of their large lobby a bar rather than an unused coffee shop. The swimming pool was good but the surroundings spartan. It's a bit of a way out of town so you really need you're own transport here. Overall I had a pleasant weekend here.

Good Value”

The hotel is just beside Mekong River. Is better to book a river view room so that you can enjoy the great of Mekong River. The room is clean and comfort. Buffet breakfast is great too. They serve vietnamese and thai foods. Is quite fat to get to Pakse Town.

Enjoyable Extended Stay”

Lovely big bedroom, plenty of storage space. Super clean and attractive common areas. Very good breakfast - plenty of choice and good standard. The pool was superb, clean and big BUT there was little or no poolside furniture which made it less welcoming. However, the charming Manager ensured that we had a lounger each with cushions. Dinner at the the outdoor restaurant, overlooking the Mekong, was sumptuous and wonderful value. We will remember it always. The Manager sang a wonderful Karaoke set and arranged for "our song" to be played while we danced. Exceptional service all round. Two tiny negatives are that the location is slightly remote and so personal transport is advisable (we had hired a motorbike so all was well) and, as mentioned the pool area, which should be a great selling point, is under-exploited. Unbelievable value for money. Thank you to all the staff, especially the lovely guy whom we presume is the General Manager.

Let's say that this hotel would have been nice 15 years ago, the pool water is dirty, the aria surrounding the pool needs maintenance, moisture everywhere, 5 % (slow)internet acces. No hot water for shower. Luxury Hotel? I don't think so, i give it one star.

nice and cozy”

everything was okay except the fact that it is a bit far from the city center. there was no tuktuk around 9pm in the central so i had a trouble coming back to hotel. wifi is not available in the room as mentioned. you can enjoy the sunset view which is really awesome

Has a lot of potential”

Our room could have been cleaner. The view was amazing and the bed was very soft. The gardens and pool area by the river are absolutely gorgeous. The food was a big disappointment and way overpriced for the quality. Internet only worked on the 1st floor. Breakfast was bearable. The staff were very friendly, helpful and talkative. Probably helped that we could communicate in their language.

Best bed i slept in in any hotel i on this trip”

off season and pretty quiet.. they are building a new wing at the front and makin a racket at 7 am. thinking staff might have offered us a room at the rear of the hotel even if it meant an upgrade seeing as the rooms were mostly empty. Great breakfast and freindly staff... hands down winner of the best bed on the trip award.

We stayed at the hotel but we had a meeting at Grand Champasak hotel. if compared facilities of both hotels. the Grand Chapasak is better, well managent. The location of Arawan is good but its facilities were broken, not repaires and not clean. All things would be improved as ranking 4 Stars Hotel.

Large room”

We were stopping in pakse on route from siem reap to vientiane. The hotel is nice and the staff were very helpful an pleasant. It's not in the centre of town - we had to walk 3km into own to book the bus. Wasn't many people about the hotel. Staff were great though and let us have a late check Out.

Let's go straight to Champasak Grand”

Location is very far from any place, Services are in trouble. Good for only sleeping for business group or stay away from any human being for careless people. You can stay in room and around but not recommend to eat or go to Spa. Food is expensive, Spa is poor quality. Don't believe in any comment that older than 2012. Hotel quality is not as good as it was. Go to Champasak Grand, a kilometer from this hotel - head to city direction, pay more few 10 dollars a night, your life will be very much much more happy.

A bit outside the center but very relaxing”

Great place overall. The lobby is huge and friendly and the guest computers work well. The high CIO g tells you it's not air conditioned though so it is probably always at least as muggy as the outdoors but without the breeze.the staff was really helpful and while I know there are much cheaper options in town it is still incredibly affordable on a grander scale. It's a good place to rest up and regroup. It's not an exciting place but it is a nice one

Amazing views on the Mekong River”

We stayed there one night during our north - south trip in Laos. We were highly satisfied with the choice: staff is friendly and helpful, rooms are large and clean, and have air cond. Wifi internet connection and pcs are free. Ask for a room with a view on Mekong and take the time to relax in the pool in front of the river!

Lovely hotel and service with a smile”

Beautiful hotel next to river .... great resturants ... great staff .... highly recommended ... truely a five stars hotel. Close to sightseeing and shopping .... will definitely stay here again on next visit to Pakse.

we enjoyed our stay at the arawan riverside hotel. it is a beautiful hotel next to the mekong river ! suggest you book the river view room … you will be glad you did. the service staffs are exceptional ! great breakfast ! with lots of selection. great restaurants … quiet ambience … i give the service staffs at the arawan riverside hotel two thumbs up … way up… they are exceptional ! this is truly a five stars hotel and we would stay here again on our next visit to pakse.

Good value for money, nice location and pool”

Difficult to communicate with hotel reception who speak no English. Have no knowledge about excursions so you have to go to Green Discovery on Route 13 in the centre (no one knows where it is so best to get a map and show the map to the tuk tuk driver). Highly recommend Green Discovery for excursions in the area. Very good French restaurant is nearby.

Great Service with Very good rooms”

the rooms in this hotel are large and very comfortable. they keep sufficient quantities of complementry water in the bar frig. all requests were immediately fulfilled with a follow-up to ensure we were satisfied. the buffet breakfast was diverse and plentiful.

Lovely hotel, great location”

We only stayed one night there, three of us one who speaks Lao which was a great help as the staff don't really speak English it seems. We arrived at about 3pm wanting a late lunch and the only restaurant open was Chinese which was quite good but slow service as it seems all the staff were off duty! We all had lovely massage (foot and body) in the lovely spa and then went and had a delicious Thai/Lao dinner on the terrace of the riverside restaurant. Large portions (we over ordered!)but delicious and very friendly service. The rooms and bathrooms were quite acceptable and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was again acceptable apart from the coffee which was totally over-brewed. Such a shame as Lao coffee should be delicious! A thoroughly enjoyable short stay and break from Thailand where we normally live.
