Exceptional”
This is a little slice of heaven and you will feel like extending your stay over and over again. The owners are so lovely and we can’t recommend it enough. The kayak into the private lagoon was such a highlight and they have a lovely campfire in the evenings. It’s the only property in the wider area with no stray dogs, which was amazing. The shared bathrooms were super clean. The bamboo bungalows aren’t soundproof but you make friends with the other guests staying at the property and everyone is really considerate so it’s not a problem. The location is secluded off the main room so food etc will come at a little bit of a price premium, which is to be expected and not an issue. We absolutely loved our stay and can’t wait to return.

We were so blown away with our experience at spring river resort, that has to be our best hotel experience in nearly 5 months of travelling now! The host Vicky, made us feel right at home straight away by taking us on a personal tour of the resort and letting us know about all the activities on offer. All of the restaurant staff were so friendly and helpful too even bringing fans out to us on the lounge unasked! The food was on the expensive end but was delicious and definitely worth the money with a lot being homemade/locally sourced. Finally our room was lovely, and despite not having A/C it wasn’t too hot with the window open so we still got a decent nights sleep!

The location and atmosphere is unbeatable!! The huts are bamboo, so there are little holes in the walls and floor, however you get a mosquito net. Shared bathrooms have warm water and are always clean. We recommend the taxi boat to Konglor cave, really amazing and serene experience!
Unusually beautiful location”
I booked the cheaper option being small runs with shared bathroom and shower facilities. The grounds are insulated and unusually beautiful. The location is stunning, and a welcome relief. Lush greenery, lovely walkways and outdoor lounge add dining with great river and rock views. Although there is a fee to hire canoes it is once off and very minimal making it basically free. I found the drinks selection to be small and well overpriced considering the standards of Laos. The menu was restrictive, expensive relative to nearby restaurants, and lacking in vegan alternatives (removing meat does not provide a balanced meal for example). The staff had good English understanding and were unwavering polite and attentive. At least one of the showers was hit with reasonable pressure! What more can you ask for. Highly recommend.

We are checking out this morning and I am genuinely so sad to be leaving our little jungle house. We stayed in a double room, which is a small but cosy bungalow, with incredibly clean shared bathroom facilities a short walk away. Food was amazing, staff were so kind, friendly and helpful. Waking up and eating breakfast With the view of the water buffalo bathing in the river was really something special. The best place we’ve stayed in Asia.
