Good hotel shame about the management ”
The receptionist had no idea about my reservation, more interested in watching the TV and wouldn't give me a room. Spoke no English so I eventually got him to call the manager who apparently is never actually at the hotel. She eventually, by phone, agreed that I could stay! Paying extra for a river view is definitely worth it. The breakfast is terrible, as far as I can see the eggs are fried the night before and all is served cold. Second day I got them to do noodles instead. Don't go if you don't speak lao or thai.

Location”
Location is a bit far from the city centre, about a 20-30 minute walk depending on how fast you walk. Tuk tuk to the city centre will cost around 10,000 - 15,0000 kips which isn't too bad. Overall good hotel consider the other choses.

The hotel and the rooms are ok and the (a bit remote) location offers a nice view on the Mekong and Chiang Khong on the Thai side. Staff speaks almost no English, ordering our (good) meals in the restaurant was a challenge (gestures and noises helped though). As stated many times in other ratings, we were also "lucky to enjoy" very loud Techno beats until midnight (it was the Sunday Night Fever!). It was impossible to sleep as even the windows in our room were vibrating. The management has apparently realised that the nightclub next to the hotel is not a good idea. They intend to move it to the other side of the street, however, they haven't started the construction yet. Breakfast after that horrible night was another disappointment. In a nutshell: acceptable in case there is no music night (or you like loud Techno sounds). Otherwise: book somewhere else!

It is a very impressive hotel, with spectacular views and it was extremely clean and pleasant.”
Staff even took us to town shortly after our arrival so that we could finalize some arrangements regarding the gibbon experience excursion the next day.

Far from the center but great view”
Clean and modern rooms, great view over the river, but remote, and too far from the center for the tuk tuk. A very noisy night club prevents you from sleeping until late in the night. Good restaurant for diner and breakfast. No english speeking receptionist at our arrival .

The Pub and Karaoke is noisy”
The room is clean, toilet is clean, but the location is a bit far from down town. The gym is only opened after 2pm, which is a bit disappointed. The Pub and Karaoke have lots of noisy due to loud music. However, the view from the cafe is nice because it is facing the Mekong river.

The owner must be drunk ”
What kind of place ensures that it's guests don't sleep? This hotel would be fine as the setting is nice and the rooms are comfortable and clean. However someone decided that it would be a great idea to have a karaoke bar on site pumping out loud music till late at night? No one speak English except to admonish us when we went for breakfast (which sucked) at 9 am when the chit clearly said it was til 10 am. Just a terrible place with a terrible attitude.

Good view on the mekong at breakfast, regular but good rooms. Very poor service : - insant coffee, no juice no fruit at breakfast - no wifi - overcharged taxi (10 times the regular rate) to go in town after the shuttle regular service is over. - no English spoken Restaurant with mekong view is convenient though just basic cooking.

Nice room with a view to the river”
Everything was great until 9 pm. But then the night club in the next building started playing bass beat that made sleeping impossible. And it was wednesday. Good thing was that they finished around midnight but if you would like to sleep before that I suggest another place.

At 50USD per night in asia, one can expect much more than only a clean bed with AC. Staff doesn't understand English, nor the gesture language. Once in there, do use the shuttle (free and nice driver) or you might be asked to pay 10 times the rate.

Nice facilities bad breakfast terrible service”
The facilities were okay, but lots of mosquitos. Biggest disappointment was breakfast which consisted of white bread toast, instant powder coffee, two eggs and processed meat.

Chambre impeccable, navette vers la ville gratuite en journée et belle vue sur le mekong au petit dej'. Mais c'est bien tout. Excentré mais impossible de commander un taxi (enfin, si : 200000 kips demandés pour 2km : 10x le tarif normal) après les heures de la navette gratuite. Wifi coupé 10min après notre arrivée Petit déjeuner café en poudre (+eau froide le 2e jour), pas de jus de fruit (ni de fruits). Soiree boite de nuit (jusqu'à 23:00, ouf) la seconde nuit. Pas de chambre sur le mekong alors que nous étions les seuls résidents de l'hotel. Bref pas terrible, sauf une halte d'une nuit.

Weit ab vom Ort. Rezeptionistin gänzlich ohne Englischkenntnisse. Ich wollte ein Getränk kaufen, sie hatte aber kein Wechselgeld. Die Getränke im Kühlschrank wurden dort aufbewahrt aber nicht gekühlt. Wäre bei 36 Grad schön gewesen. Internet funktionierte nicht. Niemals allein und ohne Handy dort absteigen. Karaoke war deutlich ruhiger als in den früheren Bewertungen beschrieben. Abends wurde für uns zwei der illuminierte Springbrunnen angestellt, der mehr störte als Karaoke. Die Instantnudeln, die imPlastikbeutel auf dem Zimmer zum Verkauf angeboten wurden, weisen wohl auf die vorwiegend chinesische Zielgruppe hin. Allerdings gab es unten nur Kaffeetassen zum zubereiten.

Ein schöner Blick über den Mekong”
Ich war der einzige Gast. Check in war problemlos, obwohl die Rezeptionsdame kein Englisch verstand. Dann kam aber die Chefin und telefonierte für mich mit dem Abholer vom Schifffahrtsunternehmen und die Abholung klappte überpünktlich. Der Ort ist uninteressant, ist aber Ausgangspunkt für die Mekong Schifffahrt. So war ich genötigt in diesem Ort zu übernachten. Sie haben auch ein Restaurant gleich nebenan. Das Abendessen war gut. Die Livemusik an diesem Mittwochabend bis gegen Mitternacht war etwas zu laut, aber im Zimmer kaum zu hören. Alles in allem: Ein neues und gut durchschnittliches Hotel.
