Since August 5, 2019, Non-Suzhou Licensed vehicles will be prohibited entering the downtown area in Suzhou.We suggest you can choose take Metro Line 1 or Line 4 to Leqiao Station Exit 6.Then walk 300 meters eastward along the Ganjiang Road East.

Not quite 5 stars”
The Wyndham Garden Suzhou is a fine hotel in the center of Old Suzhou, but problems with the room temperature and a leaking shower do not merit its five-star rating, in my view. The hotel's central air is the kind that is switched from air conditioning to heat on a seasonal basis; because the heat was on in the building, the room was too warm, and the front desk said the only way to cool it off would be to open a window. In addition, the shower door did not seal completely and it was not possible to take a shower without water running all over the floor, making it rather slippery.

great location, clean, good facilities”
this hotel was in the middle of most of the attractions of suzhou, while the attractions are not in walking distance from it (suzhou is THAT BIG), you can easily taxi from one place to another, though taxis are not as common in suzhou as in shanghai. the hotel is very clean and the staff extremely helpful, given they helped us flag down a taxi in terribly cold weather! the only down point is that the heater wasn't as strong as it could have been (but i think that was a problem with the gas company as they were having an upgrading programme for one night, but at least the hotel gave advance notice) on the whole, a nice place, clean sheets, comfy beds!

Sofitel Suzhou Hotel”
A classy luxury hotel in an otherwise unpleasant city. A fellow New Yorker was interning at the hotel, but was not the only staff member who spoke English. Everyone was very accommodating and did their best to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The city itself, outside of the area directly behind the hotel is very unfriendly toward pedestrians, and really, the only reason to come to Suzhou are the gardens.

A great location just a 10 minute walk to the historic old town and the beautiful "walking street". Also an easy walk to top sights like the Administrator's Garden and Suzhou museum and Opera Museum. Spacious rooms with all the amenities and the breakfast is a very good value

Sofitel offers real value for money - the rooms are large and luxurious with a really spiffy bathroom. It's location is also good - a short walk from the back of the hotel brings you to the old town with its bustling food and retail outlets. It is also easy to get to the numerous gardens for which Suzhou is famous for.

Pleasant hotel in pleasant city”
The hotel is on a very central location in Suzhou. Though the city is a bit too big to rely on walking, the Sofitel is a very good starting point. Rooms are spacious, breakfast is very good, they have a nice bar, staff is really helpful and speaks good English. The hotel has everything you might need. I would go there again.

The hotel was located at downtown city surrounded by many retail shops, restaurants , bars and massage stores. It is very convenient to go for sightseeings and can feel the history of Suzhou. The hotel room is clean and big.

7 mins walking distance to Metro station and also nearby tourist area like 觀前街, 拙致園, Suzhou Museum, etc. Room is spacious. However, improvements required like: 1) room door. It cannot fully close automatically and need manual push every time. 2) bathroom door cannot be closed completely even manual push. This is not acceptable. Overall, I will still recommend this hotel to my friends.

The bed and pillows were super comfortable. The room was in tip top condition. The staff was efficient and very friendly. The hotel even has a library (a very nice one). Excellent location. Guan Qian Jie (pedestrian walking mall) is just around the corner. I would certainly come back to this hotel should I visit Suzhou again in future.

Great place...well worth it”
enjoyed the hotel and all of its facilities. suzhou is a bit boring and hard to find good restaurants when wandering around on foot but the hotel was great. we used the gym every day and spent most of our time chilling by the pool. breakfast was great but the evening buffet looked average a d expensive so we didn't bother. we would stay there if we returned to suzhou.

Excellent hotel”
Marco Polo Suzhou is very conveniently located and very close to a number of tourist attractions. The hotel room and bathroom are spacious. The gym and swimming pool facilities were good. We had dinner in the hotel one night, the food we had was good and the price was unexpectedly low; the staff members are polite and friendly. We will surely stay in this hotel on our next visit.

We spent 2 nights in this hotel to visit Suzhou and Tongli. This hotel is well located near the main touristic streets of Suzhou. The standing of the hotel is quite at the level of the sofitel standard. Moreover staff was very helpful and efficient to manage visits.

Sofitel Hotel is nice located, the rooms are comfortable and big, reception is well organized and most of the staff speak English. We stood 3 nights only we have missed to book with breakfast. Breakfast buffet is very good. The food is in general good. It is nice to walk around but the canals are quite dirty. Suzhou is also a expensive town because you have always to pay ca.

It is really worth to stay at this hotel with reasonable and consider cheap as compare to others 5 star hotel. The room is spacios and clean. The staff are freindly and responsive to our request and directions to go to the attractions. Do ask from the reception if you need a map. Convenient to the tourist spots where the Guan Qian Jie is just within walking distance. Also recommend to visit Ping Jiang Road - historical street.

really nice hotel, not so nice rooms”
we stayed one night at marco polo. the taxi driver didn't know the hotel, but the hotel is on one of the main roads in suzhou, so no worries. the hotel itself is a 5 star hotel no doubt about that, but we got a standard room and it was very standard, not a 5 star room. but the staff is so friendly and they speak english and they greet you with your name when you come down to the lobby good location, we walked to almost everything we wanted to see. and the breakfast buffet is expensive ( yuan) but its good.

Good location next to the Suzhou old town. Options for food near by and walking distance to several of the local attractions. Try and get a room at the front of the building as the large night club next door may keep you awake otherwise - we asked to move rooms and they were very helpful.
