Yuexiu District - Railway Station hotels & places to stay

the hotel is within walking distance to guangzhou railway station. if you are interested in going to the wholesale centres around the railway station, you might want to consider dongfang hotel. yuexiu mrt station is also just round the corner of dongfang hotel, making it easier for us when we want to travel to other parts of the city. there is a very nice restaurant for dim sum across the road from this hotel called nanhai fish village and also a congee village down the road from nanhai.

We stayed on the executive floor (top floor) window facing directly to railway station. Hotel location is very ideal for shopping and business visitors. Room condition and cleanliness is acceptable. In room desktop computer was very old and not functioned well. Staffs can communicate in English well and helpful. McDonald is just right next to the hotel main entrance. Recommend to pay a little more for executive room.

Near market place and guangzhou railway station. Hotel staff Ms kerry very helpful. We booking last minute to stay for 1 more night through agoda, and ms kerry helps us to stay in the same room if not we have to change to others room no window and 2 single bed. Ms kerry also helps to get a airport transport for us. Hotel clean, tidy and staff nice and can speak english.

This is not your usual boring hotel decor. The hotel has been recently renovated so both the rooms and common areas are in good condition. Not 5 star perfect but very clean and well maintained. The bed was very comfortable and the shower good. The hotel is a solid 15-minute walk from Guangzhou station. The route is a main road in an area centred on clothing exports. Not the most scenic location in the city but I felt safe walking through the area at night and it was easy to find. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes (including a McDonalds) on this street. Excellent breakfast - although finishes at 9:30 am. They offer a buffet breakfast of Asian and Western food from cereal, toast and boiled eggs to stir-fry dishes, dumplings and freshly cooked omelette. Also a fruit and salad bar. This was a far better breakfast than I've been offered in more expensive hotels with a higher star rating.

The hotel is conveniently located in the proximity of Exit C of Yuexiu Park Metro Station. There is a Starbuck Reserve and a McDonalds right outside the metro station should you find yourself hungry and craving for a drink during the summer months in Guangzhou. We were put in a twin room on the fourth floor of the hotel. The room is spacious. The room is fitted with a seated toilet as well as a shower compartment with hot water provided. Kettle and two tea bags were provided to us in the room though we did not have the privilege of making ourselves tea as we were in a rush! There are two museums within walking distance from the hotel. Members of staff of this hotel must be praised as they found the stuff I left behind when I check out. They contacted me and returned it to me when I got back. Very impressed!

Pros: good food for breakfast (Chinese style). Noodles, eggs, Chinese donuts, etc. Cheap beer and coffee, they also have fresh coconuts to purchase :) Nice staff, but not much English unfortunately, a translator on your phone and some Chinese knowledge goes a long way. Location is close to a beautiful park (Yuexiu park), the train station/metro and orchid garden. Easy to get anywhere in Guangzhou by taxi or metro, including the airport. Cons: it’s China, so people smoke everywhere. The rooms are very clean but they are smoking rooms so when you run the air conditioner, you get whiffs of smoke. If you’re cool with people smoking in the lobby and rooms then it shouldn’t be a problem for you, and if you smoke yourself, even better! You can do it anywhere but in the bed :)

It's a good 10 -15 mins walk from guangzhou railway station exit D2. Take the stairs right in front of you and down the right side next to the McDonald's. Walk along liuhua hotel n take the stairs down, Turn Right" & walk till u reach the traffic light. Cross the street and the hotel is just in front, on your slight left. Hotel lobby is a little stuffy and warm. But the rooms are awesomely 5 star category. Stayed 4 nights & it's prolly the best choice of hotel with the rate n location. Everything is perfect from lavender toiletries to comfortable bed and good pressure hot rain shower. Near all wholesale shopping Malls, Definitely recommend to anyone who is heading to Guangzhou.

This is my 2nd stay. Get good price even during CANTON Fair. Wait and book in Agoda. You will get good price. For this price we pay I say this is very good choice. From Guangzhou Railway station about 15 minutes walk. Come out of the station yard walk left. From next junction walk 1st Left. Then walk about 300 meters turn 1st left and walk about 100 meters. This turning you will find high slope. You can take three wheeler from station. 15 to 20 RMB for one or two people if you can show the Chinese address. From Guangzhou East Railway station about 9 KM by taxi this time charged 36 RMB. Actually this hotel is just the other side of the Guangzhou railway station. But there is no exit on this side. So this distance.

This hotel is above average for its price range and location. It is a 10 min walk from the Guangzhou Railway Station. We arrived at 2am and were greeted with smiles by the staff. Not sure how good their English was though (we speak Chinese). Our room was quite small, but good enough. The hotel does not have wifi, but you can borrow a router for a 100 rmb deposit to get internet access in your room.

It's located in Liwan district, nearest metro station is railway train station line 5. Nearby malls suitable for ppl to do retail business for overseas buyers, u can find all kind of items at cheap price and bring back to your country to sell. Opposite the hotel, a supermarket very convenient. ICBC bank just in front of the hotel too. Many street food available during day and night time. It takes a bout 10min by walking to nearest metro.

Beware of booking the hotel on their websites....it will be safe to book from AGODA, as I have seen them refund payments to people who paid through other portals online, claiming that their rooms are FULL, Ending up with travellers stranded with no where to stay in the hotel. It happened to me but when i said AGODA online, she immediately said "oh that is different, you should have said it earlier. AGODA is a confirm booking". The lobby is normal, the ROOMS are great. clean, nice floors, good size toilets, the design is comtemporary and comfortable. the pillows are fluffy. The air con is cold, and they provide water and fast speed WI FI. Shower's water were good, hot water available, room service was fast. Location is great, lots of food and stores nearby. The underground shopping tunnel exit/entrance 1, is nearest to the hotel..and it leads to all major shopping areas you will want to visit. , such as bai ma wholesale, Hui mei and also the Guangzhoul Train station. 24hrs mcdonalds jus a street away.

Good value. Location is very good if you are attending expo or business travel as it is next to fair/expo/exhibition center.Not really near/convenient for walking to Metro station but OK as it will take you at least 10 minutes - walk towards McD and Dong Fang hotel (if you are from YueXiu Park metro), you have to cross a main road and hotel is next to a hospital. Staff performance is average as my expectation is not high. Hotel is clean,tidy, comfortable and spacious.The convenient store next to Lobby (Family mart) is great with good selection food/drinks etc.
