We stayed for the 2nd time at garden hotel for canton fair. Usually local hotel is crappy in service even though they put 5 star hotels. But, Garden 5 star hotels equal to Sofitel Hotel. GREAT. The room are spacious, the lighting is great and water pressure is fantastic too. Also, the cleanliness are great. we try some restaurants in the hotel such as the 30th floor and Japanese restaurant on 2nd floors. The Japanese restaurant are great and must try when you are staying here. reasonable prices and great portion and most important: great taste. During canton fair, they provide hotel-fair shuttle and they were really nice too in providing sandwich and water before boarding the bus... nice attention to customers.. also, when we are boarding back from the fair, we are given water too... nice touch. Also, do not forget to utilize the canton fair promotion of buying RMB1000 credit for just RMB500. Great value..

Wow, so first I'm a 50yo traveller who spends a lot of time in upmarket hotels. I'm not easily impressed, and prefer niche brands like Banyan Tree over the Hyatt/Hilton larger market brands. Add to that, my expectations of Guangzhou were a little trepidatious. So imagine our surprise when we found such a luxery hotel, with simply the best bed I have ever slept in, and the most diverse and extravagant breakfast I have seen anywhere incl Thailand holiday resorts (well done to F&B manager Adam). Seriously, DO NOT SKIP BREAKFAST! Concierge staff were definitely helpful (you need that in China!), and checkin/out was very efficient too. All round, 5/5 on every dimension.

Stayed here for total 6 night ~ overall was very satisfied with the price i pay for . 1st 2 night we booked for budget boutique room which was very small , then when we return from hongkong , we booked for Deluxe room which just few dollar difference but alot bigger and comfort . The best of this hotel is they provide inroom Desktop PC , daily housekeeping to keep the room clean and fresh , in china hardly to get new clean room at this price,important is the toilet is clean too . more else is very convenience ,7-11 just few step away ,there is few shopping centre accross the road , MTR just 5-8minutes walk , many attraction is nearby the only downside is next to temple and theres a school behind this hotel .but not big deal and we leave our room early .

Considering that most hotel rooms in nearby Hong Kong are high-cost tiny cubicles, the prices at Yingbin are stunningly low. It's a 5-star hotel in elegant facilities and accoutrements. Our room was huge -- about 325 sq ft. All the finishings were in marble, with updated bathrooms. Very comfortable and huge bed. Excellent location -- we were able to walk easily to Beijing Road, and the historical areas of Liwan -- not to mention falling out of the hotel into shoping, shopping, shopping and eating, eating, eating: both the specialities of Guangzhou. It also has the tremendous convenience in its compound (lovely, by the way) of an bus service hourly to Hong Kong-Kowloon and Hong Kong airport (saving the traveler the schlepp back to the train station and then further transport to HK airport). Compare the price of this formerly government hotel for high-level guests to international chains -- it's less than a quarter of their prices! For us, the place was excellent.

have stayed here on many occassions, great grand spacious hotel and only a $5 cab fare anywhere in gaungzhou close to all shopping.taxis all know this place. 5 stars at 4 star prices lots of western food places within walking distance and a massive new supermarket(aust/us style)and best of all the coffee club first one in china just around the corner. rooms have free fast wifi and lobby has free wifi, great bar, awesome full service massage/spa. plus many more pluses. best of all the staff actually remember you and genually happy to see you again...

One of the best hotel we 've spend in China. Location : in Yuexiu District, near Huasheing Mosque ¥ 300m), easy to find halal food. I eat a lot at Kedai Noor, which is very delicious Xin jiang chinesse culinary. 200 m to Ximenkou subway station for access to everywhere Hotel is nice, room is huge with high ceiling, big window, very fresh air.Circulation, .bed comfortable, clean. Very satisfied, highly recomended hotelin Guangzhou. We will be back. Thank you.

A very good hotel, with clean rooms and an excellent service. Near metro subway, and in a good district, the hotel is a very good for business, and relax. not much shopping near and no restaurants, but a mall with very good brands at 10 min walking. Service is excellent, if you need to go by taxi, lets ask in reception, they will write a note in chinesse with instructions to the driver, and tell you about an aprox cost of taxi...good.

Pros: 1) Clean towels and clean sheets 2) Personal caring items are equipped 3) The female counter staff who works at the 12am shift speaks good English 4) Trendy decorations - a fusion of contemporary western art and traditcanton style decors. 5) Impressive toilet setting Cons: 1) Although I knew this is one of those boutique hotels, the setting of the queen room with windows can be rearranged better. The Queen Bed is placed in the middle of the room which leaves a 15cm gap between the rear end and the wall which a TV is also mounted. It means every time when u need to walk from one side of the room to the other (the desk and toilet, for example), you need to bend over and squeeze through the gap between the bed and wall. Well, inconvenient setting. 2) Thin walls. 3) While the background music in the corridors boosts up the ambience a bit, it is rather annoying cos the walls are so thin that you can hear the ding dong sounds throughout the night.

Like everywhere in China since this hotel, we couldn't get online on our Mac laptop. The staff, but for one or two, had (almost) no English, but tried their best to help. Much depends on staff rosters as to when you get an English speaker. They provide a map on their website as to how to get there from the Main Railway Station, but if coming from Guangzhou East, it's best by far to get the Line 1 train to Ximenkou, exit D, turn right and at the major intersection nearby follow the pavement right again. The New World Hotel is 5 minutes or less up that road on that side. Do not deviate!

The hotel was easy to get to from Guanzhou East train Station where we arrived form HK. The staff was very courteous and helpful and offered the option to upgrade to a Suite as the apartment we had requested was only available on the smoking floor. The best thing about the hotel is the staff-- Many spoke good english,were pleasant and took initiative to recommending places to visit and arrange taxis etc. Room service was prompt and the lunch in the cafe was very good. The room interiors felt a little aged and dull.

This hotel is very centrally located in the heart of the city. While some websites may say that this hotel was built in 2011, this was not the case. The real fact is that the building was operating under another name in the earlier years, acquired and renamed as what it is now in 2011. In the earlier years, this was actually a very well-known building, being the tallest building in the Yuexiu district, perhaps evening in Guangzhou, with more than 60 levels. So, do not expect to see a really new building. The management did a good job in the hotel lobby so that the history was not felt. Once you entered the lift, you would be surprised that the old lift is still operating efficiently. The room is really spacious, easily 1.5 times the size of the same type of room in other hotels.

Having spent five days in Guangzhou, this hotel is central to all main shopping districts. It is close to subway and approximately 10 minutes by walking. Next door do have mini store and restaurant with delicious food and soup. The staffs were friendly and always helpful especially the room service was professional and well priced. Besides, they do provide a baggage storage service with free of charge. We booked for two bedrooms suite and this suite were spacious but the bathroom started to look a little old. Beware, this type of suites are just available for smoking floor. If you are request for non-smoking rooms or with family this suite are not encourage to stay. Truth be told , overall we were satisfied.

during the process of checking in you need to show all your passports and let them photocopy it and you should deposit as assurance and we will get it back upon checking out. the location of the inn is not hard to find because it's near in mrt station and main road (zhongshan 4 lu) and beside by fruit market. we booked 2 business king having 1 big king size each room. the mattress is quite hard so maybe quite not comfortable to sleep. the bathroom has no door but maybe you it's ok just make sure you will advise your roommate that your using the toilet or what, but the door is not visible from the bed where it is located. the shower room has a glass translucent door and has a hot and cold shower, shower gel soap and tissue paper are free in the corner but the other things is payable. air-conditioned room with cable television i assume and free internet lan connection, wifi is available in other parts of the inn. fyi majority of chinese people in guangzhou doesn't know how to speak english even basic. so you need to do some hand gestures, but in this hotel maybe some few common english they can easily understand. last day of our stay we need to check out by 12nn, but we asked favor if it's ok to check out by 1pm since we checked in 2:30am. they agreed, and they allow us to place our luggages in their stock room after we checked out since our flight schedule is 10 in the evening. so used our spare time to explore yuexiu park, and went back 6pm to get our things.

I had a very pleasant and relaxed stay at this hotel. Breakfast was very good too. All of their staffs were friendly and especially Sandy, the manager, was a very talented and helpful for her guests. She kept checking with me if all was okay with my stays and tried to provide the best service as much as possible. The facilities and amenities are pretty satisfactory. They have a small van that offers a free travel between the hotel and the Canton fair. However, keep in mind that the seat is limited (up to 6 ppl or so) so it can be fully booked quickly. You better check the availability with the hotel in advance. The only downside of this hotel for me was the location. It has a beautiful view of the Pearl River but is located on the busy street. They have a night club across the street so it can be a bit noisy at night - even thought it didn't really bother me when I was sleeping. If you like nightlife, this may be good for you. Overall, this hotel was a very nice to stay. I loved this small boutique hotel and will probably stay again in my next trip!

This hotel is definetly value for money as it is probably the cheapest 4 star hotel in the district. Breakfast is cheap at 60rmb and the scenary is very relaxing and peaceful. Rooms are comfortable however,the only downfall is that the TV needs to be plasma and more english channels required. The hotel has many social facilities that one may indulge in and enjoy. Have stayed there previously and will stay there again in the future.

I stayed in this hotel for the canton fair from 17th - 19th april. The hotel provided free shuttle bus service from & to the fair. THis was great as it saved alot of time for taxi which is impossible to get after 4.30pm. Eventually we saved few hundred rmb on taxi alone. I had booked the River view standard which was great indeed. The view from the room was plesant at night time once all the lighting comes on. Very very relaxing. Also, Beijing Lu is jus 5 mins walk from the hotel , river was stones throw away & the Canton tv tower was approx 10-15mins taxi ride . The rooms were gd , breakfast was ok. As it was during the canton fair period so we had to pay 2.5times more of the actual cost. Recommended hotel for canton fair visit during morning time and city tour at night. Serves dual purpose.

Ok Right next to the famous Garden Hotel and Metro within spitting distance. How to find the place. It is in the Legend tower block With your back to the road. On the Garden hotel side of the Road and ouside the Metro station it is the 40 plus high building to your left Access is off the main road go to room on 18th floor to check in. Apartment was clean no facilities such as plates pans etc but washing machine and microwave and very slow free internet which did get faster once everbody had vacated at end of Canton Fair. One word of warning. If you dont like lifts or hanging about waiting for them dont stay here. I was on 34th floor and there were many floors above me Also be aware that all hotels during the Canton fair inflate their prices by more than 50%

I got a room for $28 or so on Agoda. Was beyond any expectations. Was very clean, comfortable. Very nice to have free bottles of water to drink. Shower was fine. Had the best dumplings of my life at the Dim Sum/Tea restaurant on the 5th floor. Also a massage place on the 6th floor (I forget if that's the 6th but you can ask). And, a Starbucks on the 1st floor! What more to ask for. The Hotel staff kindly let me leave my luggage at the Hotel for a night for free when I went out of town. Overall, recommend!

Our stay is pleasant. We request higher floor in our booking but they give us room in 2nd floor only with unpleasant view of aircond compressor and wires. Nonetheless, we just stay in the room as we were exhausted from the trip. Room is spacious, toilet is clean with shelving to put our stuff, they provide table to put our bag and small sofa beside the bed. Overall we are satisfied plus the staffs is polite and helpful when we ask for help with the bus. Hotel location is not nearby the Subway (Donghu station) but walk-able. Dashatou bus Station is just next to hotel where you can take bus no 7 from Dashatou Bus station to Beijing Lu for only 2 Yuan. The other bus stop behind the hotel (on Dashatou road), you can take bus no 128 or 208 (2 yuan) to Haizhu Square. We took the bus as we don't want to walk to Subway station Donghu and again change station as we're heading to Yuexiu Park. At night we also took bus no 128 to get back from Tianzhi wharf to the hotel. Hotel is in its own building and easy to recognized with it's orange and green pillar. Overall, we're satisfied with our stay.

Not everyone from the neighborhood knows this hotel, so we had a hard time looking for it the first night. But, the location is actually quite good. It’s quite near the subway, and a very good place to walk at. A lot of local restaurants and convenience stores nearby. The staff were very accomodating, and they have been a really great help, though they had a hard time understanding english. If I get to come back in GZ, I’ll surely stay at this hotel again.

If you are looking a excellent hotel strategically located near metro, attractions, public transportation, shopping centers, street food and restaurants. There is also 24 hour convenience marts and street food around the corner. This hotel is a great place to rest and refresh after a day tour around the city and embark on a new adventure the next day. If you are a stay in the hotel all day guest to enjoy the pool, gym or hotel spa you won't find it in this hotel. There is also no hotel parking. There is a paid parking bay a few buildings down the block.

personally, it was very convenient to what i was doing in guangzhou. the hotel is new and the staff is still getting some of the service kinks out. they had a little trouble cancelling my credit card hold, and since my mandarin is virtually non-existant communication was difficult. this is a very chinese hotel, i did not see another western face during my stay. if you can deal with that, this is a great hotel for you. i would stay there again. the japanese toilets were an "out of control" feature.

I have enjoyed my stay at Paco Hotel, despite some confusion. The hotel is not located on Dongfeng Road, but it is in the center. The walk to the underground took me 10 min., and you can easily get a taxi just up the road from the hotel. I liked the design of my room, and it was very clean, laundry service was ok, they brought my clothes back later than it said on the sheet, but the clothes is clean and pressed, so the job is done. The staff was very attentive and nice, they helped me a great bit and were very polite. The bed was very comfortable, shower cabinet large and very clean. I had everything I needed in the room: a desk with desk light, fast internet (wifi), a wardrobe, hairdryer, a safe, a fridge, bathing robe (that was changed daily) and a TV (didn't really need that). I would definitely recommend this hotel, but don't take breakfast, the hotel does not serve breakfast, they give a voucher for burger king breakfast around the corner. As for the surroundings, there are many small Chinese shops around the hotel, including fruit shops, there is a Mexican restaurant around the corner and a burger king. 2-3 min walk away you can find a nice sushi restaurant, a pleasant caffe and a pizza hut (don't go there, food is bad). near to the underground there is a shopping mall, and another one (central plaza) 7 min walk away.

Apartment is located in business center and near to office, very convenience to walk cross to buliding. Manager of apartment is nice and very polite, he can arrange the big and nice room. Not same as nearby apartment, some rooms not have completely facilities such as tv, fridge, microwave and washing machine. Very appreciate on this property and must come back to stay again.

We have been here numerous stays over a span of 4 years. The hotel has us coming back with good hospitality and a well maintained hotel. The wear and tear is almost non visible! The breakfast spread is simple but still very good though I would say it has improved this year with a healthier spread and a neater more welcoming eating space. The train station is just opposite the main road with access to Line 5 and 6. They leave extra bottles of drinking water outside the hallway. Nothing huge but nothing I have not seen in other hotels either. Kudos to the hotel. Staff is also very helpful in helping with suggetions or directions. My last stay a big plus for giving us a free room upgrade and complimentary breakfast. Thanks Paco Hotel. Much appreciated and we look forward to more stays with you.
